I had been having problems with the front end of my r50 and the local shops couldnt figure it out. My Mom refered me to Her Brother, Tyler Cragun. At first everything seemed okay, he offered to pick up my car as he was already coming through Utah County for a engine and took it to his shop. He very quickly diagnosed a problem with the cv axle set i had previously bought and installed myself for around $120. He offered $200 for one "premium quality" cv axle and i trusted him being he is my Uncle and i didnt want this to become a reoccuring cycle of cv axles so i said yes. Long story short he charged me another $130 labor so $330 for one cv. Local shops near me quote $300 for one. Then for the most part ghosted me due to miscommunication/he just didnt want to respond even after i refered him to my coworker. He also made it a mission for me to get my spare key back when he was supposed to put it back in my qx4 before i picked it up. Transparency is not his strong suite.To be clear, i dont even think my passenger cv axle was bad as the grinding/noises didnt stop nor did the clunking get fixed. I pulled the driver cap off n the snap ring was almost completely off allowing the cv axle to move in and out freely. Snapped it back into its groove and most my problems in front end were fixed excluding the pop from my tie rod when i turned slowly until the new $200 cv started making noise and i noticed my tire was gone. Boot ripped in less than 3 months. I hit him up today to see if it had a warranty, he said it did and to bring it back to him and he would replace it. Knowing he is not transparent i asked if the warranty was for just the part or if he was going to install it, he said part. I asked for a refund for the part and he said no.Let me remind you that this is my Uncle, I feel like i have been fully taken advantage of by trusting him. Im having a hard time believing that 1 cv axle was $200 and any shop in Utah County would replace that cv for free with the warranty, i got a no. Because of the faulty "premium" cv axle that i spent $200+ on, my passenger tire tread is completely gone so thats another 600$ on tires. I just ended up buying another cv axle for $50 and doing it myself as itll cost me $50 or more to get down their and back, not to mention i cant drive with one cv. I wish i could attach the messages/time stamps so you could see how he runs his business and you wouldnt have to go off my word. I wouldnt recommend Tyler, honestly suprised i am his first bad review.. maybe im the only one he has showed his true colors to? I felt much less like a wanted customer let alone a nephew. Gavito Auto in Orem is the BEST, Sergio is very professional and transparent. He will take care of you!5 month edit - my $50 amazon cv axle has nearly no signs of wear and ive taken it off road a lot since installing!

These people were the nicest and most helpful folks we ran i to on the trip. I needed help with my trailers running lights. We were on our way to Mexico. And the soonest we could get a mechanic or shop in town to look at it was 4 days. These guys went to the max and helped when they didn't have to. They had every part I needed. And were truly helpful and friendly. This is the place to go for your Auto Parts.

Tyler is a great mechanic! We had an injector go out in Nephi on our way to California. I stopped by several shops that were less than excited to even talk to me. I found someone that recommended I go by Tyler s shop and I see why. He was extremely helpful and changed out the injector but due to some computer issues with the truck we weren t able to get the new injector programmed and we needed to go to a GM dealer for the computer programming. I was ready to pay him for all of his work and he wouldn t let me because the truck still wasn t completely fixed. Unbelievable, you just don t meet guys like Tyler these days. Thanks Tyler for all of your help! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

BIG thanks to Tyler Cragun! We had our fuel pump go out on our way up to Salt Lake City and had to leave our car in Nephi. Not knowing any of the mechanics in the area, we were fortunate to have Cragun Automotive and Performance repair our car. Tyler was great to work with. He called and kept us posted on the service, parts delivery and had our car back up and running within a day. Thanks Tyler! Great mechanic! Very professional.

My truck broke down as I was passing through Nephi. Tyler took time out of a busy Saturday to advise me on what to do with it. Very kind, very helpful.

Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. I had the fuel pump go out and they had it special ordered and delivered the same afternoon I called in. I was back on the road in no time that same day. Their shop was impressively clean and organized. Can t say enough good about the way this shop is operated.
