I came across this place on KSL. I was looking for a Subaru with low miles, and in decent shape. THIS PLACE PROVIDES! They have a fair selection with really good pricing.Aside from their selection, their service, and employees are awesome. They know how to take care of/fix Subaru s very well. Pedro and the rest of the workers are honest and genuine. Seriously, they exceeded my expectations on customer service, and on educating me with the car I was purchasing. I drove out of there so happy and grateful.Highly recommend if looking for good deals on Subaru s. Very trustworthy!!

Bought a Honda Civic through JP Auto. They let me take the car I wanted to an independent mechanic to do an inspection. Sold me the exact car I wanted in the exact budget range I was in. Very professional and to the point too, i registered the car then and there and I got my plates within 3 weeks. Car is mechanically great and running like a clock. 5 stars

I ve been meaning to write this for an eternity, but I Bought a 2006 Honda Civic Si with 130K on the clock from JP auto in October of 2015. And 3 years later and now at over 200K, it has been fabulous. My buying experience was excellent, the radio head unit was not working, but they told me before I even test drove that the issue was there, and they would order in a used head unit if I chose to buy. 1 week later they had the head unit which I swapped out my self, and has worked great. Lots of angry reviews on here. thing about used cars, is it s used. At 170k, 2 years later I had to replace all 4 struts. Considering Honda only guarantees the struts will last to 60k, this is not a reflection of JP auto, even if it had happened a month after I bought. It s just the reflection of a used car. The clutch master cylinder had to be replaced, however the CMC on all civics of these years are bad, extremely common issue. Not a reflection of JP auto. They sold me a car with 130 K that s has stayed solid, and is quickly climbing to a quarter million miles. Thank you!

My husband and I purchased a car from here, a Subaru Forester, almost 2 years ago. The people seemed nice enough. They claimed to have given the car a total engine makeover. However, not even 6 months into having my car we ran into issues. I was pregnant at the time and ended up having to go from a full time position to a part time position because of how unreliable my car had become! We have now paid more into the repairs of this car than it s worth! It didn t even make it 2 years! I m truly sorry guys. I m really disappointed that I have to give this a negative review. But this is not at all what I expected from this dealership.

JP Auto was a great experience for me. I was never pressured into buying anything. They helped me to get financed which was a really quick and easy process as well. They had great customer service during the purchasing process. I would recommend them to anyone. They have really great cars at awesome prices.

We bought our Subaru from them in May and they were fantastic. Honest and upfront we liked working with them a lot. We had a few minor problems with the car after and they fixed it all for us and took great care of our car and were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful.

I've now bought two cars from JP Auto and they repaired a third one for me. Carlos, Jose, & Pedro all treat me just like family when I come into their dealership now. I've been thoroughly impressed with all three of these extremely hardworking and knowledgeable guys. First off, it's always hard to trust someone selling you a used car but these guys know their market. They know that Subaru makes great cars with a couple flaws that can become very expensive quickly-i.e. head gaskets and timing belts. They search for and find Subaru cars in need of these repairs then fix them before selling the cars. I took another of my cars to the dealership for an estimate on some needed repairs before taking it over to JP Auto for their mechanic to fix. JP Auto saved me about $2000 on the necessary repairs and did a much better repair than any dealership would have without adding on numerous extra charges. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking to either repair or purchase a used Subaru or other car!

I test drove a car we were purchasing for our teenager. The car was in decent shape with the exception of a rear main seal (oil) leak. The salesperson claimed the car did not have any leaks and the engine had been rebuilt. Because the engine was rebuilt and the work put into it, the car was overpriced and they charge $299 for document fees on top of the price. When I brought the car back, the two sales people in the office did not even acknowledge me as I was dropping the keys off. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service.

My girlfriend and I purchased a 2009 Subaru Forester from here. Firstly, we noticed a week after purchasing the car that it made a scratching noise and after taking it to the mechanic, we learned the back left brake was metal on metal and their safety inspector didn't even check the back brakes. JP auto fixed it and I was hoping I would never have to return. Fast forward 3 weeks and we are on a trip in southern Utah and my family who is driving behind me notices white smoke coming out of the exhaust when I downshift. I get home from the trip and notice almost all of the coolant is gone and the oil is gone too which points to a blown head gasket. When we bought the car they advertised having put in a new head gasket. So today I have tried to call them 12 times and Carlos has been screening my calls and ignoring them purposely. If they do not resolve this issue I will be reporting them to the State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.

One of the WORST experiences of my life!I learned I couldn't trust JP Auto with their guarantee of a healthy car that can drive off the dealership lot. Not only do they charge an extra 300 dollars just for buying from their dealership which is supposed to guarantee that you have a good working mechanical car to drive off the lot, but their prices are stingy and they won't work with you. (Multiple interior and exterior body and dash damage that they won't drop price on.)Where do I even begin with my experience?Okay so this story has been a nightmare for the past 2 months after me buying a mazda from JP auto. I'm very unsatisfied with the car I bought from them. SO I bought their mazda for $7000. This purchase guarantees they have put oil in, checked out the engine, checked air conditioning, checked everything mechanically out with the car to make sure it can drive off the lot healthily. However, the second day after my purchase, I thought I'd check the oil just in case. I pulled the dipstick up and it was literally bone dry! There was no indication of any moist oil on the dipstick, it was gunky and dry as a bone. I put oil in immediately after finding this. After two weeks, I noticed that my mazda's check engine light came on once I had moved to Denver, CO. I took it to a professional mechanic in Denver and they diagnosed it for me, which I then told them about the dry oil dipstick, and they were appalled at hearing this that I had recently bought it from JP auto. They found multiple issues with the engine, so then I gave JP auto a phone call. I told JP auto about the dry oil dipstick and this is what he said "I'm looking in the computer and it says we put in a quart of oil in the middle of January." However, I bought this Mazda on January 20th. So they have either put the quart of oil into the computer accidentally without putting any into the actual car while recording it on their files, or they may have known right there with how dry my dipstick was after driving off the lot. But the fact of the matter is that the oil was completely dry when I drove off the lot at JP auto on Januray 20th. They couldn't have put a quart of oil in. On the phone we were both trying to figure out how we could get a new engine in my car since it was their issue. He agreed to do "free labor" if I payed half for a new engine, however, I'd have to also drive back down to Utah to take advantage of this free labor he offered. I agreed and made arrangements to take off work and drive to Utah so they could put a new engine in. I dropped off my car and there was a time limit with my work with being in Utah. JP auto received the first engine on the latest time possible two days later once I was in Utah, so I had to call off work for the first time. Then after waiting for three days in Utah, they call me and say the first engine doesn't work... So they needed another two days to get another engine in. Story continues:

I'm actually still paying for repairs for my 2008 black Mazda3 from 15 months ago when I bought it from JP Auto. I have my reviews written up on this google review platform - and they have the audacity to reply to my review and say they never sold me a car... Just look at the review with the name Connor G 712 SANDERSON and look at my review and their lying-reply saying they didn't sell me my Mazda. I still own that Mazda, got stuck with paying for repairs up to this day, and have payed about $11,000 for the car in total after their numerous mistakes with their mechanic and misinformation from buying it from JP Auto with extensive repairs from the original price of $6,500 in January 2017. It seems other people's reviews are similar to my experience as well.

Bought a manual trans Subaru Impreza, approx 130k miles, from here just over 2 years ago which has proven to be nothing but problems. They ll bend over backwards for you till you buy, but you re SOL once you sign. Didn t notice any red flags during test drive, however the engine light came on a few days after I bought. Took it to a shop and found out it had a buildup of engine sludge, which cost me $700 out of pocket to flush and replace sensors. It s been downhill since then:-A/C failed. $1k to replace-2 spark plug wires ended up shorting, severing connection to the pistons on right side of engine-Radiator blew up - $300-Clutch completely failed after 1 year - 1k to replace-Clutch failed again 1 year after I replaced it. Another $1k. No way in hell a new clutch should fail so soon.-5th gear fell apart on a road trip last week. Now I can only use gears 1-4.Long story short, avoid buying here unless you need a car and have no other options. I realize there s risk buying used from places like this, but I feel extremely taken advantage of given the price I paid and the condition this car was advertised. Learned this lesson the hard way :(

We had a great experience @ JP Auto; great car for my 17-year old, fantastic service/help from Carlos, clean car at a great price. In fact, we are so happy with our experience and purchase, my daughter will be buying her next car from them. Recommended dealership! Thank you, JP Auto!

I had to call my work a second time to call it off again... All this time I'm expecting that my check engine light will be off with fixing this issue of getting another engine in. They call me two more days later, I make the trip over to Midvale to pick up my car. After having signed and payed for the 700 other half of engine we got, he gave me the keys to test drive it really quick. I turned my car on (expecting them to have fixed the issue I drove to Utah for) and I see the check engine light on again with their new engine they said was ready for me to pick up. I was immediately uncomfortable with their job they did and didn't feel comfortable driving it back to Colorado that night by myself... All JP auto reassured me with is that even when that check engine light is on, "just watch, you will still be driving this same car in a year just fine..." I didn't buy a car to "maybe" get through a year of driving; I spent 7000 on this car -- my entire life savings! Once I told them that they need to try getting that check engine light off, they took it back into the shop to see if they could fix it. After another hour of waiting... I get my car and turn it on... No check engine light! At this moment he told me they "forgot" to reinstall my air conditioning and also another part in the engine that he was elusive about. So after not seeing the check engine light for 2 mins, I was thinking I could make the drive, so I shake their hands and get on the road. Not even until I get to the gas station about 1/4th mile away from JP auto, the check engine light faithfully came back on! It seemed as if JP auto knew once they got me on the road, they could go home and not have to work on my car with the "free labor agreement" we had. I immediately texted JP auto telling them the check engine came back on and they said drive to Colorado and have them do a diagnosis... They were careless about their job they did on it just to get me out of their hair; is what it seemed like after hearing Colorado's auto technicians show me JP auto's much less than satisfactory job on my engine. So I risked it. I drove to Colorado. But I must mention something JP auto also told me before driving. He told me to drive under 60 mph because I later found out that their mechanics and the guy knew that they had butchered my engine job with quickly doing a rushed job of putting my second engine in. Once diagnosing it in Colorado, the mechanics tell me to come look at something JP auto did to my engine, and many more to come... They showed me the valve cover hose to my engine that was duct taped on!!! Story continues:

If you buy a used Subaru here, beware! JP auto says all their Subarus have the "full service" done (head gasket, timing belt, water pump) which is true, but what they don't tell you is important! They do not remove the engine for service, which means they do not inspect/replace necessary internal components. They do not inspect valve clearance, valve seals, rear main seal, piston rings, idler pulleys, seals, block mating surface, spark plugs, etc which is all necessary during a head gasket service on any Subaru. They pressure wash the engine so it doesn't look disgusting, slap on a new timing belt & gaskets with the engine still in the car, and hope you don't have any problems down the road, to which you're SOL when you realize. Spending a little more time on each car to make an engine last after a repair is important. If you are considering buying a car here, you must get compression, leakdown, timing components, and oil consumption tests by multiple mechanics to be safe. Otherwise, you'll be left with an oil burning piston slapping subie not reliable enough to take on road trips. JP auto is ruining a lot of nice Subarus out there, and to be honest it's quite unfortunate. It's hard to only give you 1 star, but people deserve to be aware of what really goes on here.

Don't waste your time. from the start, my experience with jp auto was awful. I called ahead and drove an hour and a half one way to see a mazda they had listed. upon arrival the dealership itself felt very trashy but i overlooked it and was like hey don't judge they could be great people, i was wrong. The salesman wasn't friendly or courteous at all and gave me no information on the vehicle what so ever. at the time of the test drive the car had the low fuel light on (even though i called an hour and a half before) so i was not able to drive it on the freeway or really test drive it in anyway, i could only go around the building. however the car was what i was looking for so i chose to make an offer. i tried to get them to adjust a measly 500 dollars on the price, which is hardly anything on an 11000 dollar purchase. they wouldn't budge a dollar! they did not care one bit that i went so far out of my way to work with them, and overlooked so many things already. I have bought many many vehicles and have never worked with a dealer this difficult who does not care about their customers. jp auto only wants to squeeze as much money out of you as they can. upon leaving i found that the price i saw on ksl was 700 dollars more than they're own website which shows me that they were able to afford to drop the 500 i asked for but only wanted my money. i'm very glad i walked away and feel very sorry for the poor sucker who bought that car from them. i'm telling you don't waste your time coming here, go to virtually any other dealer. others will understand your budget and needs and try to work with you to help you get it into the right car. find a place that will treat you fairly and not try to lie cheat and steal the money from your wallet.

Carlos has been so helpful through this process! He switched out the drivers seat, which had some wear and tear, he made arrangements for a new fob key, and paid for it! They are very reliable and have great communication! Thank you Carlos and everyone at JP Auto! I'm very happy!

Bought an outback from these guys and had no problems for a very long time, as with most Subaru s the head gaskets failed at higher mileage and they took the car in and worked on it and gave me a very good price and had the heads resurfaced and gaskets replaced in two days

The guys there were great to work with on purchasing our 03 MDX. There were some weird noises that surfaced a few months after we purchased the car in 2016. Power steering issues and differential issues on the car.
