I m not going to lie, I ve had some issues with my step sliders. BUT! The team at Rock Slide Engineering has been really great at helping me resolve problems, and taking care of things in good faith. The products are mechanical, and a little bit more complicated in nature than a lot of other Jeep mods. And thus, overtime, some issues on some kits, for some people are bound to go wrong. As is with any product. I believe that it s how RSE handles these issues that sets them apart from the rest. They do care. They do help. You just need to contact them rather than jump to the review page and complain. If they don t know and hear about it first here, how are they supposed to correct it?They look good on my Jeep and are functional for my wife and kids. I ve seen competitors models on a few Jeeps and I think the RSE are better. They also provide a ledge for the kids (and me) to stand on.I appreciate their business model and am a customer for life. I will always appreciate a business that stands by their product even after it has reached your door.

Just purchased and installed the Rock Slide tailgate table on my 2024 Rubicon X. Absolutely awesome. When you're searching for a table, stop once you've found Rock Slide. Ordered it thru Extreme Terrain and they were great... communicated and performed... got it in one day. The first thing you notice is it's packaged great. Protected with a nice manual... not that you'll need it as it's super easy to install... but read it anyway. The build quality is exceptional and design is second to none. Love the two tiered table and the size due to the fold out lower table. The magnetic closure is solid and feels like it will hold well. From box to complete, maybe 20 minutes, but I already had the tailgate panel removed... so add 15 for that.Looking forward to a test drive with the table!!

These steps are a super cool idea. The problem is the actual product is not so great. For $2600 the steps had better be dialed in and ready for a solid life before they go to market. The reality is they simply do not function for very long before the problems start.I have a set of these on a gladiator. After a little over a year old they stopped going all the way back up. It was worse when the temperature was cold outside. I contacted the company by email, and they emailed me back quickly to help me figure out the issue. I'm sure my issue is very common and a regular problem they deal with. Instead of sending repair parts under warranty, they said I could order new gas struts for $35/each, or buy the upgraded spring kit for $99. I ordered the upgraded spring kit, and it was like $10 worth of cheap hardware and springs. I'm fine with a company making a profit, but it's not right to gouge a person when your product was $2600 and poorly designed. They should be sending the upgrade kits out for free. Also, I'm sure more problems are coming with the motors in the future, based on the real reviews I found on Google. This product/company gets 2 stars from me because the product is a really great idea, and could be a home run. Unfortunately the management behind the project is not good.1- Get the product bugs worked out before the release. This was completely missed with the motor and spring set up.2- If you messed up, then fix it for free(including shipping). Send the repair parts out to get them fixed, especially when it's a known issue. These power steps, while a good idea, simply are not reliable. If you get a year out of them, your doing well. $2600 steps should work flawless. Also, they are another $99 to fix(if you install the kit yourself) after roughly a year old. If/when the motors go out they are about $130 each. The costs to keep these things working is completely unacceptable.Too bad, it has so much potential to be great product if it was managed better and stood behind.

These steps are amazing when installed correctly. A high quality product with Gen 3. I had an issue with one of the square skid plate holes not being drilled in the rear slider so I had to forget one of the 3 three gold bolts and only have 2 per side holding the skid plate on. I could have probably drilled a new hole but I didn't yet.

The Rock Slide steps have been working great, however I had a couple of weeks of driving in the snow and ice and had a control module go out on the driver's side step. The customer service that I received was fantastic. Rock Slide sent a replacement part out immediately and there was no charge for the part, just asked for the faulty part to be sent back.

I purchased the 4-door Rubicon JL step sliders at my wife s request and absolutely love them. I m a military engineer and have very high expectations for such things (which usually doesn t end well). The design, quality of components and construction are outstanding. The aesthetic rubber trim strip between the sliders and Jeep body isn t staying in place very well. But if it never came with that part, I probably wouldn't have noticed, nice trim but not altogether necessary. I found their web sales and service response to be fantastic as well. One part was missing in the packaging, and they had one to me the next day. I also very much appreciate the First Responder discount. Many thanks!

Here's an honest REVIEW! I DONT KNOW ANY OF THE PEOPLE HERE AT RSE AND JUST HEARD OF THE PRODUCT 7 MONTHS AGO. At the 4x4 off-road expo. These guys treated me like a Rockstar here at Rock Sliders Engineering! Amazing customer service. One of the Employees (Gary) brought my sliders to my house because they wouldn't fit in my Jeep. He was actually going by my house the next day! Answered all my questions even after hours for 3 days throughout the weekend! Replying to text messages up to 10 pm!After 3 days of messing with them and trying to get the Skid Plates to fit onto the Rock Sliders, I brought them back to RSE and Ian (I think, His desk is the middle one in the Sales Department) I guess he could see the frustration on my face. Took my Jeep back and put the Skid Plates on in about an hour. They work FLAWLESSLY!!!! Now, my wife will be able to get in and out of the Jeep without major issues.Bottom line.....I wouldn't hesitate to get any product from here. Quality is top-notch!Customer Service is impeccable!

Update 1-12-23Lol it is funny how the reviews on there web site are all employees and friends and how are they able to manipulate and change my review and cut it short to Jose G and put a four-star review This company is a 1 star company at the most.It s pretty pathetic my 2021 gladiator looks like it has earrings on because of the dangling steps that I overpay for SMH.My steps are about a year old and the motors are not working properly I have contacted Rock Slide Engineering still waiting to hear back and I did contact where I purchased the steps at 4wheel Parts I never got a phone call back steps are not cheap little over $3000 installed and here I sit and they don t work properly. And just dangle on the side of my Gladiator SMHUpdate 08/22Now the steps rattle on bumps what can be done about this??Lol I never received an email from you guys in regards to my rattling hanging steps. You guys are impossible to get a hold of I went to 2 different company s here in colorado to see if they could get ahold of someone there with zero successSo I drive around in my 2021 Gladiator with hanging and rattling steps Lol smh.Not recommend nor should you waste your money on these steps Not worth the $2500

I Installed the Rock Slide step rails on my lifted 2020 JT. Makes it so easy to get in out of truck. Especially for my 4' 11" wife. I do have the extra armor on. I have banged and scraped the slides very hard and they have held up perfectly. Customer service is fantastic.

I had some issues with my rockslide steps. one would not operate and the other would not fully retract. After speaking with the support rep, he recommended a new motor for one side and new spring tension springs for the Gen2 Steps. After receiving them and following the videos on the site, I was able to fully repair both sides and they operate as when they were new. Great experience both with the diagnosis and the parts. Love this company!

I recently left a review that was less than 5 stars because of an issue i had with one of the steps being "jiggly" and not solid upon deployment, a customer service rep emailed me and I sent them a video of my issue, they immediately offered a new motor replacement for my problem. I received my new motor yesterday and installed it today. I am very happy to report, the new motor fixed my issues, thanks to Rock Slide for offering a solution and not giving hassle as some may do.

I purchased the step slider for my new Jeep rubicon eco diesel. I had no problem installing the slider. Instructions was clear and easy to follow. When I test the slider, the driver side step would not deploy. I call rockslide engineering on Tuesday and spoke to the tech. We were able to determine it was the sensor on the driver side that was bad. He send out the sensor and I received it two days later. After switching out the sensor, the step deploy perfectly. The customer service I received was amazing. I will recommend your company to all my friend and customers. Thank you

These steps are great convenience for getting in and out of the Jeep in particular if you have it lifted. I find them helpful with the rear doors when loaded up with all my gear and need the extra height to reach in.You can have some issues with them failing (it is a working part that is going up and down constantly), but their customer service and warranty is top notch to get you up and running again.

My step broke in a year and half. Step was never jammed or opened on a rock. Motor and actuator broke under normal operating daily procedures. Limited lifetime warranties is very limited and only covers steel that is made of not the electronic parts! So be aware before you spend 3K!

Bought the Rock Sliders for my 2021 Gladiator. Real quick Make sure you download the current installation instructions from the website. The ones that came with were about 5 pages short. Installation was as per directions. When I went to power them the steps extended and retracted as shown in the instructions. That is where it ended. I troubleshot everything and went over the installation 2 or 3 times. All was good but the steps still wouldn t extend when any door was open. I emailed Rock Slide and did two steps of troubleshooting. All checked good but the steps still did not extend or retract when any door was opened. Rock Slide was going to call me the next day (today) for further troubleshooting. I got up this morning and waited for their call (I m 2hrs ahead of them.) While waiting I went back out to the Jeep to make sure I had everything right. It was right. I then pulled the fuse and reinstalled it (a reboot if you will.) The steps extended and retracted as advertised. I then opened the drivers door and the step extended (first time that happened.) I tried all the other doors and had to adjust one door magnet. ALL works as advertised now. Why didn t it work yesterday like that? I have no idea. They work now as advertised and look great on the Jeep!!! Why only four stars? I thought their response time to the troubleshooting emails was a little slow, but hey, it s just me not dealing with other customers like they are. Great product and they look great!

Purchased the Step Sliders for a Jeep JLU Rubicon and I m so happy with the product quality and customer support. The actuators work flawlessly and the fit/finish once installed is amazing. My only request to the team is to consider updating the actuator movement so that it slows down just before full extension and complete retraction. This would help give the movement of the steps another level of quality by making them seem intelligent as it slowed down right before locking into each of these positions. Regarding customer support, their phone and email support is prompt and focused on customer satisfaction. In addition to the step sliders, I also purchased the light kit. When I informed their support team that the passenger side light was not turning off, they responded in less than 24 hours and shipped me a new replacement part to fix the issue.

Plain and simple, you guys are AWESOME!! I had an issue with one of my side steps on a jk and Tanner had helped me over the phone, super nice and knowledgeable guy! After we had determined the step motor was faulty, the warranty department had no issue sending me a replacement that came in the next few days. I have to tell you, dealing with a company that cares so greatly about customers is reassuring and I definitely plan to do business with Rock Slide Engineering again! Absolute 11/10 service

Got the complete package of the step slider for my 2020 Gladiator. Very happy with the product. After installation, I had an issue with the circuit board on the passenger side and the plastic case that covers the motor on the drivers side was being chipped. I took a picture, called the company and sent it to them. Customer service was EXCELLENT!!!They shipped the replacement parts right away. Only down side is I had to take the rails down again to replace them which cost me money. In case you may wonder why I m giving them a 5 star when I had some issues, it s because their customer service earned it! As of this writing, I haven t had any issues.

Excellent product, impressive engineering and flawless and timely installation. Also when I inquired about another product I was told it would be a waste of money.

Rock Slide Engineering is awesome. Their steps are great and their Customer Service was phenomenal. My playground of choice is Moab. One thing I learned is that if you are driving a Mall Crawler , meaning that you are not going off-road, their basic steps are awesome. I didn t use their recommended Skid Plate for off-road activity. I found that after bouncing off the rocks hard a number of time they quit working for me.I drove up to their shop and 1.5 hours later, I was on my way with both steps working and with the Skid Plate (which I purchased to eliminate this problem from recurring). In all my life I have never worked with a company who provided better customer service.

Great steps. Install wasn t to bad. The you tube video helps more than the manual. My recommendation for the step install would be only put the first and last bracket on before you put the steps on. Easier to guide the bolts they the pinch weld.Great product!

These guys are the BEST. Three times I have needed parts for my Rockslide Engineering power steps on my JLUR and three times they have come through like a champ. If you do any hard core rock crawling I do recommend they skid plate (I got those with order #2) Everything fits the way it is supposed to and shipping is quick and easy. I highly recommend these guys.

Installed their steps January 2000, replaced both motor actuators in Spring 2021. Now its December 2022 & both motors are failing again. I highly recommend you consider a different solution, unless you've got money to burn. All preventive maintenance was done as directed. Very dissatisfied with the faulty steps.

The steps look amazing! I purchased them about 2 years ago for my wife when she was pregnant. Had difficulty getting in and out of the Jeep and these things were life savers. The best part was not the the steps though even though they are amazing, the best part is the customer service and fast respond times. Trust me they won t leave you hanging.

I have purchased a Gen II Power Step Sliders for my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL. First of all it's a great product - the stock height plus larger tires made getting into my Jeep a kind of challenge, though I am around 180 cm tall, and these steps are just what I needed. Compared to the competitors the may serve as a fully functional rock sliders as well! Of course I personally wouldn't go extreme rock crawling as the power steps are quite pricey in general, but at least I may not worry about occasionally hitting something with the step - it will definitely survive it. And I want to emphasize that I am an international customer from Cyprus, after installing the steps it turned out that for some reason the light on the left side won't turn off even with the door closed and the step retracted. I contacted the RSE support team and they advised me to shoot a short video and pass it to the warranty department. I did it and the very next day they contacted me telling that probably the circuit board might be faulty with happens rarely. I want to stress out that I was using NOT the RSE light kit which was out of stock when I purchased the steps, but just a 12V LED-stripe, and formally they could theoretically insist that it's not intended to be used like that. Should I mention that in few days they had shipped me the new circuit board by UPS courier fully on their expenses and I received it in 10 days , installed and everything works just fine now. This is a great customer and after sale service, very friendly and responsible way to do business. I would definitely recommend the RSE team and hope I will have a chance to purchase something else from them :). Bravo, RSE team!

Just finished my install on my new 392. These things are amazing. Built for a tank. Called in with a couple questions on the install and immediately was connected to a tech ( when does that happen in todays world ) and he answered every question and gave me a location to install the door delete kit that i hadn't thought of. Definitely recommend. Looking at bumpers now
