Sam s auto did exactly what they had prescribed for our vehicle. When I called they quoted me the job before hand and then also diagnosed the issue before doing the work to ensure what we thought was the problem was actually the problem. They let us know what really was the problem and turns out it was less than the original quote. I highly recommend honest mechanics like Sam s auto who go above and beyond for their customers.

I have used Sam's a couple of times. They are honest, fair, and fast. It can be really hard find a trustworthy mechanic. But I have really appreciated being able to take my vehicles in and have them get them fixed and diagnosed correctly. Can't recommend them enough.

I was heading down to Provo from Highland when I started hearing a super weird noise and pulled over at a gas station to find my wheel well completely obliterated and hanging out it was 5:45 and I called Sam s and Dallas was willing to help me out even though they technically close at 6 : ) he was so helpful and really went the extra mile even though it was after close. So so grateful for them today!!

I cannot judge the quality of their work. All I know is that $125 to diagnose a bad alternator in a few minutes is ridiculous, and the three times I've seen a quote for work,it was almost double the amount of my regular mechanic

Great place to have your car repaired. Small shop That takes car of you. I have 3 vehicles and my newest vehicle they had a plan to fix it and they sent it for my approval before starting. You aprove all work before start. After getting started, they raised some concerne about the engines integrity (bought this used) . The vehicle itself has 186000 miles on it but the engine brand new hemi 5.7L v8 awd engine for my vehicle with no miles on it is what they got and installed. There great communication all around and people are great to chat with. Reminds me of my dad's mechanic. GREAT SHOP AND PEOPLE. I WILL TAKE ANY VEHICLE HERE.

I called 8 different shops to find a place that would work on a carburetor. Sam s was recommended by another local shop so I gave them a try. Sam s discovered an additional problem that was causing a critical vacuum leak and went the extra mile to help me out. I just recently came across Sam's a couple of days ago because my regular mechanic wouldn't work on my truck due to it being "too old". When I called Sam, he didn't even hesitate. I brought it in as a night drop and the next morning he had it diagnosed and repaired within a few hours. His pricing was very fair and his customer service was excellent. I'm happy to say I've found a new mechanic that I will be returning to from here on out and I would recommend him to anyone!Service: Electrical repair

Sam and the guys were able to get us in, get a us a reasonable quote, and finish the repair quickly. They explained the repair in a straightforward way, and charged us an upfront fee. We only had a small window of time of a weekend to pick up the car and Sam stayed late to accommodate us. He even let us use two forms of payment. The only reason this isn t a five star is because the lack of waiting room and parking lot situation.

Awesome service, great price. I dropped my Tacoma off in the morning with some AC problems. I had replaced the compressor and condenser, and improperly recharged the AC, and was under the impression it might be some electrical issues. Sam s Auto said we can diagnose it in an hour, and mentioned that an AC recharge cost X amount, and an inspection was Y. After receiving the call that my AC was all charged up and ready to go, I was fully prepared to pay a bunch of fees because of what I thought was wrong with it. To my surprise, I got there and only had to pay for an AC recharge. The guys were super nice as well. I ll definitely be coming back for things I can t figure out how to do on my own!Services: Auto A/C recharge, Air conditioning

New to the area. Saw good reviews and was ready to take my car in for an oil change. I called for pricing and they told me they don't do oil changes alone. Curious comment as I feel this is a good way to get new customers familiar with a new shop. Also, website clearly states to "Drop by the Sam's Automotive Repair auto repair center for a quick oil change from one of our friendly and experienced auto repair specialists." Apparently NOT! Happy to change this review at a later time if they stand by their word for that quick stop by for an oil change.

Got my car in last minute and would have finished it same day, if we'd have been able to get it there sooner. They were honest and pricing was good as well. They advised us of future repairs that will need to be done, and presented us with estimates. That was incredibly helpful for us because now we know what to look forward to in the future. Customer service was excellent as well. We will be going back for all of our car needs!

Fair, honest and quality work. Sam and his team were great to work with. They went out of their way to make sure my van was repaired correctly and were honest with what needed to be repaired right away and what could wait until a later date. Furthermore, they were more than fair in what they charged for the work that was completed. I highly recommend Sam and his teams quality work. Sam's shop has earned our future automotive needs. Came to sams auto with an intermittent misfire/stalling condition. I had redone all the ignition/spark components. They said it was the distributor and ordered parts. I got a price quote. I had replaced the cap, rotor, and sensor. They said they cleaned it out and was fixed and didn't even need the part they ordered. Somehow I am being billed more than quoted without even the part. I pay and drive away, within one mile same trouble. I go back and leave the car with them again. Next they say it's the computer and send it off to get remanufactored. 3 weeks later reman computer is put it. Told its good to go. I drive off, same problem persists. I will not be back and would be cautious if you are considering this shop. They are friendly but I experienced them throwing parts at a problem without proper diagnostic.Service: Auto engine tuning

I m from Texas. I had no idea where to take my daughter s car to have some work done. I was near Sam s Automotive, read some good reviews, and decided to give it a shot. Sam was very helpful. He was able to identify the problem and get the car fixed the next day. Did a great job. He s now my Utah mechanic. Highly recommend.

I was referred by someone that the owner of Sam's Auto was very honest but how untrue that was. My car came out in worse shape than when It first came in and he kept stringing me along saying it would be done at a certain time only to find out that I will have to wait longer. Not professional at all! I would recommend staying away from this place.

Sam is the best, most honest mechanic I've ever worked with. I've had just a few minor repairs done on my vehicle but Sam is also so pleasant to deal with. He gets things done quickly, and for far less than what I was quoted at other shops. I saw him being recommended on a local community facebook page and he definitely lives up to the hype.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is great! I took my truck to different shops and kept getting the run around but never got fixed. Same was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in a timely manner and at a good price! My go to for vehicle repairs!

Sam's is the best mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is honest and best of all thorough. He treats the vehicle as if it were his own. And best of all he doesn't just throw money at it. He works hard to get the issue pin pointed and fixed properly. This place was very helpful and was nearby when I needed mechanical work. They were very professional and very helpful. I took my car there and got it fixed the same day for a reasonable price. I would definitely go BK . hopefully not anytime soon. Thank u guys

The worst car experience we've had in over 30 years. We sent our car to Sam after being highly recommended, and a thorough conversation on what we needed done. We were given a 2 week window for repairs and assured this was the "exact type of project he loved working on". It has been OVER 6 MONTHS and we still do not have our car back. We've given thousands of dollars up front at his request (our mistake) to expedite any burden of cost, and each conversation it's promised "by the end of the week", and then radio silence. The engine is still dismantled, so at this point we feel we don't even have the option to take it somewhere else. He seems nice enough, but at what point does a car that has been there for OVER 27 WEEKS take priority for completion over walk ins? The whole process has been extremely disappointing, not to mention we've been out a car for 6 months which has been wildly inconvenient. Would not recommend.Service: Engine repair

Sam is BY FAR the best mechanic I've come across!! Over the years of maintaining my 2 vehicles and my parents vehicles, i've had a really hard time finding a decent mechanic that didn't cut corners and charge me an arm and a leg just for a simple repair. Sam not only does great quality work, he is more than fair on price, and has always delivered on time. If your looking for your new "go-to" mechanic for all your maintenance and repairs SAM IS YOUR GUY!!

I really appreciate these guys, my car kind of started smoking getting off the freeway and they were able to see me almost immediately. They help my car get fixed quickly and my car no longer sounds like a B-52 bomber. :-) they also charged me a fair price!

Best local mechanic around, this shop is like a hidden gem. Every time I bring my car in they have finished well under the quoted labor hours and the turnaround has been extremely quick. Personable, speedy, and reasonable rates.
