I needed to renew my registration and my check engine light had come on and they told me they checked it and it needed a new thermostat on my vehicle; which I agreed with, since the fan was staying on for a long time after I shut off vehicle. Told me they could do it and I left my car there but when I went to pick it up, told me they decided to just flush the radiator, change the oil because it was the best route to go as they weren t sure it was the thermostat( yeah right) .refused to renew my registration and told me to bring it back in a couple of days if light turned back on ..guess what happened a few days later yeah the light turned back on! They were rude when I picked up my car and asked questions. They are lazy and take advantage if you are a woman. Will never go there again. One of the worst mistake I have ever made $501.84 mistake to be exact, but it was the closest place I could drive my car to, with fan on and check engine light on. It s actually sad. Needless to say no I did not take my car to them but instead had a mobile mechanic come to my house and fix my car for me. He was kind, professional and way cheaper then the oil change and radiator flush combined!Please don t respond to my Google review with that you are sorry that you are short handed, that s not an excuse for being taken advantage of.

Overpiced. Went for an oil change. They charged me $92.xx for full synthetic. The customer service is bad, they did not care at all or asked any questions. Honestly, walmart, grease monkey, burt brothers, and even in dealieships, you can find better price ranges from $58-$79 for full synthetic, including tire rotation, washer fluid, air filter, and other complementary services included.I got the service done there, but it is way overpriced, I wouldn't consider going again.

Never coming back. I have come here the past 3years for emissions and oil changes for all our cars and always had a good experience and local people about it. The prices were good and they are usually pretty fast. However, yesterday I took our new Car for the first time was told it would be 30 min for an oil change, I asked the price and waited inside with my three little kids. Well, it was 1 hour and 40 minutes until they finally finished after several people came and went between us. The bathrooms had no soap for when my littles had to use the restroom and the soda fountain had no syrups in them just ran clear water. And again we waited an HOUR longer than they said. I then was charged $26 more than they told me because apparently my car has 6.5q oil not 5q and I guess the amount they gave me was only up to 5. Again a $26 charge for 1.5 q more oil. And I was only doing high mileage basic stuff not the fancy synthetic. Why in the world was I given that price in the first place? Or when they realized it needed more, why wasn t I notified before doing it so I could decide? I absolutely would have taken it elsewhere! Most AWFUL experience. So disappointing.

Place is very fast. They had a good movie playing (captain america) and the process was very simple and didn t have to anything especially hard.

Wow! The Manager took his time helping me understand. He showed me any future concerns, but did not try to up-sell me on anything that did not need to be done. This is where we always get our emissions done. They also will do registration right there for you, but we do that part ourselves online. They have a seating area with drinks and televisions. They ve always been pretty speedy- if there s not a line they re done in 5 minutes, and the longest I ve waited is around 20 minutes when busy.

Quick & friendly. Renewed my registration within 10 minutes and only charged about $30 with emissions & stickers. States fee for registration is a separate cost.

I went for an emissions test and they were quick. There were two cars ahead of me but I don't think I was there more than a half an hour at the very most. I'm going to remember this place for the rest of my vehicles emissions tests.

Lost use of brakes driving from WY to CA the guys here did me a solid. They inspected my vehicle right away and showed me exactly what was wrong. They were booked up and referred me to another shop in town that they trust. Good people at Checker Flag, would recommend to anyone!

I've been going to Checker Flag for over a year since moving to Utah. As far as I can tell, the pricing is less expensive than other places in the area. I deal with Tyson the most and he's awesome, but everyone is always friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. I never have to wait more than 30 minutes max. There's a comfortable sitting area that has a drink station. Recently, I went to get an oil change and have my tires rotated. Tyson explained that they wouldn't be able to perform the tire rotation that day due to safety concerns that the jack might slip in the rain (which made perfect sense). I came back the next day and he gave me a small discount for having to come back. I'll definitely continue to come to Checker Flag. =)Services: Tires, Oil change

Fast and friendly service! Every interaction I had with a staff member was positive. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation on a Friday afternoon. Was in and out in probably 20 min or less.

A little pricey, lied about checking my cabin air filter, told me it was good well I removed it about 9 months ago. I get it it's just a cabin air filter but hopefully they are really checking everything else like the vital parts and fluids.

Always fast and efficient. I had a small filter leak after my oil change. I took it back the next day. They were honest about the mistake and fixed the problem. It s hard to find a business that hones these days. I would highly recommend.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

My husband brought our car here for a transmission fluid change. They quoted me $130-$164 AT MOST total over the phone, including the filter. I price checked a bunch of other places, who quoted at most $160-200, granted that price is without the filter included. They ended up wanting to charge us $300 but dropped it to $255 which I'm not grateful for since it should be much lower anyways. They said an engine oil change needed to be done in order to change the filter, which we had done a couple of weeks ago at another place. If that needed to be done for the service it should be included in the estimate. It seems to me they are simply dishonest and trying to squeeze money out of people. Or they are incompetent and unable to fully explain all of the possible charges. I will never return here, which I doubt the manager cares about seeing his rude responses to most of the negative reviews.

Someone alerted me at a red light that I had a very low tire in the back- Checker Flag was right in front of me so I pulled in to see if it was a leak they could fix. They informed me it was beyond repair and actually all my tires were in bad shape so they suggested 4 new tires. This was not a surprise so I agreed. I also got my emissions testing done since it was due and we had time. Emissions was finished very quickly! However, after agreeing to 4 new tires, I was told the tires were on their way from their supplier and understood we'd be about an hour wait. Still not a problem. 3.5 hours later though was a problem! I sat in the lobby completely ignored for 3.5 hours with 3 kids, through lunch with no food since I obviously hadn't planned being out this long. I had to trek through the parking lot with my kids to the tire center to find my car and see if they'd forgotten us. They were just barely putting the tires on. Eventually I was informed that the vehicle delivering the tires had gotten stuck on the freeway and that's what caused the delay. They apologized and gave me paperwork to get a small rebate. When I got home I noticed the rebate period had expired. I may visit this business in the future for emissions testing again since that experience was easy and I noticed everyone else who came in had the same quick service. I don't think I could confidently visit for other services since there was such a large lack of communication. I just needed one person to tell me they hadn't forgotten me and let us know what the hold up was. Very stressful situation for a mom with 3 hungry kids. Had we been told about the delay we could have left and comfortably come back when the tires had arrived.Services: Tires, Emissions testing

I really like these guys. They seem to always be honest. He gave me a second opinion on brakes that made more sense to us. They're quick and great to work with. I got the new brakes and started driving, then I heard a loud squealing sound. Immediately took my car back and they were on it and got it fixed. Super pleased.

I've been getting oil changes at the same place for 8 years. I'm officially switching to Checker Flag. I went here after being told by my regular place that everyone is out of the oil I needed. Checker Flag had it, then they went above and beyond fixing an issue that they didn't have to do. I'm impressed with their customer service and going here from now on.Service: Oil change

Took my car in for emissions. I was greeted right away and everyone I spoke with was very nice. The service was remarkably fast - I was in and out in 10 minutes. The price for service was also cheaper than Jiffy Lube. I don't know how their other services compare but I'll definitely be considering them for future services.

I have enjoyed the service at Checker Flag for the last 5 years. A friend of mine recommend Checker Flag & I am so happy she did. The staff are all polite & service is always fast & spot on. They are honest, fair & very consistent. They complete my immission, inspection, & fluid changes. I won't go anywhere else.We have recently moved so we aren't as close, but it is worth the drive to know that my truck is in great hands. On top of great service, the lobby is always very well maintained.

I gave one star, negative was not an option. I went in, in the morning for an oil change and asked them to look at my breaks. I was told I needed new rotors and to come back at 1 and they would replace them.I was there at 1 and sat for two hours while 10-12 other customers came and went and my truck sat. No work was done on my truck for those two hours. Then they told me they were too busy to do the job because it's a three hour job.They only want to crank out oil changes and charge $30 more than jiffy lube. I will never go back to this location again.(Edit after response)Thanks for the defensive reply to my review.I forgot to mention the free work done on my tire pressure monitoring system. Mostly because you were not able to do anything about the problem. I own a buisnes as well and when I can't fix my customers problem I don't charge anything either. I don't call that a " free service" though, I call it a FAILED service.Here's more of a positive review,Their shop was very clean and organized, if your looking for a quick oil change, this is the place. Just don't expect to be waited on promptly if your wanting anything else done.Service: Oil change

I usually have great service here. I brought my truck in for an emissions test and get registered, no one came and talked to me so I waited by my truck. When they were ready they went to get in, and I handed them the keys while telling then what I was wanting done. I was actually going to have them do an oil change as well however, they just rushed me through and never asked. I will now think twice about going back.

I went in to renew my registration, and change my oil. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. That was the fastest I have EVER had an oil change ever before. Big-O is great and all, but these guys were so fast. I had mentally prepared for an hour or more potentially, but that was not needed whatsoever. Super friendly staff, clean waiting room, and no bogus yeah we saw this, but we can fix/replace it here for you! claims like you d get at most other places.I ve seen other reviews say this place is hard to get to, but it s really not.
