Always very friendly. I went in for an oil change and Miguel came in and told me that my car looks great. He explained that I will need a couple of things done when summer gets here, but for now everything looks good. I trust them a ton and recommend Chesty's to friends and family. They're a small family business and have always treated me well. Their front desk employee, Jess is so nice and very personable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

I have taken my car to them a few times. Every time from the time you walk in. To the time your car is fixed and after. They always were very friendly. will to help in any way they can. Always texting you and keeping you up to date on everything. Very nice place. Hard working people.

I ve been getting vehicles serviced at Chesty s for about 2 years now. I have a 2006 Honda with 240k miles on it, and a 2016 Toyota with 120k. Miguel and his crew have always been good to me and honest. Recently, there was a miscommunication about the work I wanted done, and the tech replaced some parts I didn t request- turns out it was a blessing in disguise as one of those parts just so happened to be on the verge of failure. I was hit with a bit of a surprise bill, and even though the part needed to be replaced, and there was some gray area in the fact that I hadn t specifically authorized the repair, everything was made right to the tune of a generous discount for the trouble of it. The bill was still more than I had planned on, but it saved a potential catastrophic failure and I would have ended up paying significantly more a week or so later when the part completely failed. I feel I was treated fairly and with respect and I plan on continuing having repairs and service done. I plan on both vehicles staying in the family for many, many years to come, and I am confident they will last that long because they will be properly cared for by Chesty s.

Miguel went above and beyond to repair our vehicle before going on a trip. We had an issue with our vehicle that would require an additional days work to fix it. Miguel came in on a Saturday (his day off) so he could get our vehicle up and running in time for us to leave town the next day. We were very impressed by his skills and professionalism and so grateful that someone would be so caring and kind as to do something like this.He has worked on our cars before and we ve always been happy with his work. It s nice having a repairman who is fair, honest, and does a good job. Thank you Chesty s Auto!!

The people at Chesty s are professional and polite. While doing an oil change, they found a leak in my radiator. This place is an absolute joke! I towed my jeep to their facility at the end of September of 2022. It needed an engine. I ordered the engine and had it to them by mid-October. I think February came along and they finally had the engine installed but the car wouldn t start. About a month later after no response from them I went in and talked with the owner. He had me order some more parts for the car. I received the parts and gave them to him. Literally being ignored by them for a couple months, I went in again. Still hadn t brought the car back in. He promised to get it in again. Never did. I went in again at the end of June 2023 and he promised me he would have it done by the end of the week.here we are on July 20th. No word from them, the car still sitting outside. Absolute joke of a company!Here we are November 7th 2023. and still nothing. The jeep is still sitting outside in the exact same spot. No call, nothing. Better Business Bureau and Get Gephardt will be getting callsService: General repairs & maintenance

Miguel is the only mechanic that saw that my car could be fixed on warranty or that my other car was burning through batteries because the computer was never reset and configured to the new batteries correctly!

We had such a fast and incredible experience! We met Brandon over the phone and he was able to fix and replace the torsion on our fan belt within an hour of us being there! He was so friendly the whole time! He's definitely our go-to in Layton now!

Miguel did an excellent job and went above and beyond to fix my car issues. I felt he was honest and had great communication. My car kept having a small start up sputter even after we changed spark plugs due to sputtering while driving, he looked at it three more times until it was discovered it had a bigger issue with coolant seeping into the cylinder, which is something I'm working out with the dealer now.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I'm glad to now have a new mechanic! Miguel knocked it out of the park on my van. After a different shop couldn't diagnose my extended cranking issue, Miguel got right after it and was able to diagnose and then fix the issue. He also was happy to do some extra preventive maintenance for me while he had things torn apart. I really felt like Miguel cared about my issue and actually wanted to fix the van, and not just try to take my money (a rare characteristic in the auto repair world). He sent easy-to-read estimates and an invoice and was quick to answer my questions. So far so good with the van, and I will definitely go back to Chesty's Auto myself and will recommend them to friends and family. Miguel has always been amazing to deal with and incredibly professional. Service is always fast and great pricing. When we re in town visiting family and friends we make it a point to stop by the shop for a quick check as he s the only person we trust with any of our vehicles. He utilizes an impressive diagnostic tool where he ll send you a link via text with his findings including pictures of what s in need of repair as well as an estimate for repairs (I was impressed that was really cool) you see exactly what he is talking about and are confident that he s not just telling you but giving you a visual of those items in need of attention. We met Miguel years ago when our vehicle at the time broke down on our way back home and we were blown away by the knowledge and how well he explained something that I truly am not familiar with. He knew exactly what was wrong by simply describing the sound it was making. Pricing again was reasonable and I was confident in his work. He is truly and genuinely focused on providing the best high quality work at fantastic prices (mechanical work can be a bit daunting but he makes it easy). No matter where you live either in Utah or like us Washington state the drive to Chesty s Auto and Miguel are worth it. Highly highly recommend them! trust me you will not regret it and the fact it is Veteran owned and operated is the bonus. I have a VW Jetta that is normally serviced and maintained by the folks at Young Volkswagen in Layton. I get the oil and regular maintenance work done by them when these are due. Unfortunately, when I contacted them about scheduling an appointment to get my car looked at, they could not get me in for about 3 weeks. My problem was that the reservoir was just not retaining or holding any of the coolant, so I was not able to drive it. At that point I decided to contact Chesty's Auto due to their favorable reviews. I spoke to Miguel and he said to bring it in and he will look at it. He also referred me to someone that could tow my vehicle over to his shop (whom I used). I think my car sat on his property for over a week before he finally looked at it (which if he had said when I first talked to him that he couldn't look at then - I could have taken it to someone else that might have expedited the repairs).They ended up replacing the water pump and did an oil change. By all accounts I have not experience any more coolant issues yet. However, I am now experiencing oil leaking from the front end and the "change oil needed" message and lamp light remains on (even after they reset it about 4-5 times). The car was not leaking oil, nor was it having issues with the change oil light remaining on prior to these guys doing work on it. Miguel seems to think that the oil leak is due to the oil pan needing to be replaced, and the oil light is due to a fault in the system. Again, the car is regularly serviced by Young Volkswagen and they have never identified or pointed these out as issues.I would not use these guys again. It appears from my interactions with this crowd that they have a limited understanding of VW brand/vehicles. There was also frame damage towards the area where the coolant bottle sits - and the inside of the car reek with an overwhelming smell of fuel (which I have never experienced with any other auto repair shop before). I didn't bring up the smell with this crowd - but I did point out the frame damage which one of the mechanics tried bending back into place. I entrust my car to this lot with the expectation that they take care of the damn thing. Hopeless and unprofessional!!Services: Auto water leak repair, Oil change

We ve know Miguel for six years! He is an amazing diagnostician and really puts every effort to get you back on the road as quick as he can! I love the small and personal feel of a shop that has its owner and just a few technicians. No chain or dealership run around! Plus his prices have been amazing!!! Poke your head in and holler or give him a call for an appointment. So accommodating!!! You won t be disappointed!!

We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be bringing our cars back here in the future. They were able to get our car fixed and back to us quickly and even stayed open late for us to come pick up our car. Also the prices were fair and reasonable. Highly recommend.

Had to get the clutch replaced on my 2012 Honda Accord and called around to 7 or 8 different repair shops. Chesty's was right there with the least expensive and plus they were able to get me in and out the next day. Super impressed with the price and speed of the service.
