Antiques-filled, cozy rooms in a B&B housed in a historic hotel, with gardens & decks. Housed in what was once a 1927 boarding house, this upscale B&B packed with antiques on Highway 89 is a 2-minute walk from the East Fork Virgin River and 6.8 miles from Dixie National Forest. The cozy rooms, some with homemade beds, and balconies, have private bathrooms and TVs. Breakfast includes fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, coffee, breads, and a hot main course, and is served daily in the dining room. Other common areas include gardens with raised decks (1 with a gas BBQ) and a coin-operated laundry.

We stayed in Smith Hotel for two nights. It's located between Zion and Bryce NPS. Our room was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Rochelle and Mike are super friendly and hospitable. They even offered us to use their kitchen to make pancakes for dinner. Since we're travelling with our dog the tips from Rochelle for dogfriendly trails were great and more than welcome. Last but not least, the breakfast was amazing. We loved the Alaska one o'clock waffles. Go check them out yourself!

We spent a night here, based solely on the positive online reviews and recommendations. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, and it was wonderful! Charming old building, very cozy beds, located in a peaceful town, and a great stop between Zion and Bryce. If you can, opt to stay for the breakfast--Rochelle and Mike are so kind and full of interesting stories. And the breakfast was delicious to boot! My mother and I had a great time. I recommend if you are in the area to give them a try!

This B & B was absolutely amazing! Clean, quiet, and full of charm. It had everything you want from a hotel stay (comfy bed, nice private bathroom ect) with all the hominess of staying with a beloved relative. I had a wonderful conversation with the owners over breakfast & after they ensured I was comfortable around dogs, I got to meet their sweet puppy! 100% would stay again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Smith Hotel this past weekend! It was like staying the night at Grandma's house with all the hotel acommodations. It was so quaint and relaxing. Though the hotel is old the room was very clean and cozy ( highly recommend room #2). The shower worked just fine! The bathroom lists to the back, but that just part of the charm of an old building! The hosts, Mike and Rochelle are great and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious ( homemade waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. Highly recommend the Smith Hotel for a laid back, quiet and relaxing stay

We stayed 2 nights recently at the Historic Smith Hotel in Glendale, Utah while visiting Zion and Bryce Nat l Parks. The whole place was charming and the hosts, Rochelle and Mike could not have been more hospitable. Our room was quaint and cozy with the most comfortable king bed! The breakfasts were fabulous and out of the ordinary. It is a place I would highly recommend over a newer, fancier hotel...a wonderful experience! Hope to visit there again.

My wife were a bit skeptical abt this hotel before we arrived... but she was proven wrong. In short, it was like a stars for a 2/3 stars hotel. Rochelle was so nice to make a quick introduction to her place. The room hv everything you needed and it was very cleaned and well maintained. Will recommend to anyone who wish to visit Zion and Bryce National park. Thank you Rochelle for hosting us.

Stayed at the Smith Hotel for about a week while visiting Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Best Friends Animal Rescue. Location was fairly central to all three with a modest commute to each location. Amenities in Glendale were limited but, breakfast was good every morning and the hosts were very welcoming and eager to share advice to make the most of your stay. Overall a good value and worth considering if you are visiting the surrounding area in Utah.

The hotel is between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. It was nice to speak with other people staying there that were going to some of the places we were visiting. There is a nice restaurant for dinner next to the hotel. Would stay there again.

We loved this adorable B&B. Rooms have all that you need (clean room, comfortable bed, personal bathroom, refrigerator). Mike and Rochelle were the most gracious hosts. We even got to meet them & chat with them outside in their beautiful courtyard. They even let us play with their dog (Annie) and cat :).

Mike and Rocky kindly stayed in Glendale late in the season to allow my wife and I to stay at the Smith for two nights while we visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The location is very convenient for south west Utah and our hosts made us feel very welcome. Large rooms with comfortable beds and free WiFi. Great breakfast and right next door to the Buffalo Bistro to boot. I highly recommend staying at the Smith if you are in the area.

The historic rooms were nicely appointed, the hostess, Rochelle, was gracious, entertaining and helpful. We had a great stay visiting Zion and Bryce. And Mike's waffle recipe carried me through the whole day!

We stayed for 1 night in 1998. I hope the place has got a new owner. I fell for the old look of the house. The breakfast was terrible and scarce. The owner just wanted us to leave as quickly as possible.

Great place to recharge. We came in the start of winter the steps and parking were very well cleaned of snow. The room was cozy and warm. Thanks for the great escape from the harsh weather!

Great hosts. Had a pumpkin waffle for breakfast. Got great advice on driving up highway12, which was amazing. And met some other travelers at breakfast and enjoyed the conversation. It was a quiet, clean and comfortable stay.

We spent 4 lovely nights at the Smith Historic Hotel in Glendale, Utah. It was our home base for visiting Antelope Canyon, Zion, and Bryce. The drive to Page is about an hour and 45 minutes. The drive to the east gate of Zion is about 45 minutes and to Bryce is about an hour. The drives may seem far, but the scenery getting there is gorgeous! The hostess, Rochelle, was amazing. She was thoughtful and accommodating. She served a delicious breakfast 3 or our 4 mornings. The one morning when we chose not to sit down to breakfast she provided us with a grab and go muffin, yogurt, fruit and juice. She keeps the ground beautiful. There are no resturants in Glendale, but close by is Knabb which has a lot of places to eat. Your room has a refridgerator, so you might want to plan on having some things on hand. Our room was comfortable and the bed was cozy. Yes, this is an older hotel and it indeed holds much history. It is an old boarding house. You can feel the history and I liked to imagine the young Mormons who chose to stay here when the hotel was built in the 1920 s. I would definitely stay here again.

Live in SLC and have family from out of state coming in unexpectedly. Haven't stayed here, but called kind of last minute for a room on a holiday weekend (a week before). I knew my chances were slim, but the guy on the phone cut me off and mentioned they "had a thousand calls for that weekend". It was rude and doesn't make me want to look into them for our future visits to southern UT.

Worst hotel I have ever been to the breakfast is awful the WiFi is soo slow and the staff is terrible I advise anyone who reads this this hotel will ruin your vacation. If this is your last option for a place to stay do not stay here you will have such a better vacation if you reschedule and stay anywhere else. Again I advise to not come here just reschedule this hotel is not worth you spending your money on. Do not waste your time or money.

Nice people, feel like home. We had a breakfast with Mr. and Mrs Smith, they are so nice, heard lots of stories from Mr. Smith. After breakfast, we got a map with tips from Mr. Smith's drawing.
