Not sure where some of these negative reviews are coming from. Not saying you can't have a bad experience but I had a good experience. Rented a 4 seater Can Am and it ran great. No issues. Ran it up to about 45 on the street and about 10-15 on trails. Amazes me how people rent these things and flip and roll them or run it too high and jack them up and then get charged rightfully so and then complain and leave bad reviews. Talk about entitled. I ran it for about 6 hrs with no issues, took it back, they did a quick look over and that was it. Then my deposit was back in my bank account within a few days. Great experience and the people who work there were great. Definitely going back

On our yearly family vacation (party of 19 from all around the country) rented two side by sides on Sunday June 11, 2023. From the first phone call to inquire if they had availability. To the pick up and drop off, the experience was fantastic. Check them out and go explore the mountains and surrounding area. However, be aware of the mud!!!

We rented three side by sides and David was amazingly helpful in explaining the rules of the road and making sure we were safe and prepared for our day of fun. At the end our amazing day they allowed us to use their pressure washer to clean up the machines and Curtis even offered to give our people a ride back to the beach!!!! I highly recommend renting from here they are awesome.

We rented a 17 persons pontoon boat today and had a blast! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the water was perfect! Can t believe the color of the water and how clear it was. Will for sure come back soon and use Bear Lake Fun again!

Amazing experience! We rented a can am side by side for a couple hours and had a blast! The guys at Funtime made the whole rental process very smooth. We will definitely be back!

We did a day rental and the gear was in excellent conditio. Pickup and drop off were easy to do. You do need all drivers at pickup for safety instructions so keep that in mind if you have a big group.

We are long time bear lake boat renters, but never rented a pontoon. The knowledgeable staff recommended that instead of a speed/ski boat since we had a couple more people than the capacity. I will tell you I will go pontoon from now on. Bear lake tends to be choppier ruff waters and the pontoon boat is smooth and stable in those conditions. Plenty of power and speed to tube and ski. We have rented boats from other competitors and this boat was the best quality and maintained. Rental process was easy. People were nice and friendly!

These guys drove their truck infront of me on the separated bike path without looking and then yelled at me to get out of the way because they were parking the truck on the bike lane. Next time you're driving in the area and there is a bike in the road, even though there is a separated bike path, you can thank bear lake fun time.

We rented a 3 person Sea-Doo for 2 hours and had the absolute best time! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely rent from here again. My only suggestion is to have the option to rent hourly, instead of 2 hour increments.. We would have gone for 3 but 4 seemed too long. Thanks again!!

Rented a boat and tube from Bear Lake Funtime and the experience was fantastic. The equipment was in great shape, operated with issue. It was better than I had hoped. The staff was very friendly. Brianna Rose helped me get my boat checked out, gave us the Utah rules/laws and handheld us through the process. She was amazing to work with!

Great place. Rented the 24ft boat and were able to surf, wakeboard, tube and fit a bunch of people on the boat. Was awesome!

I just wanted to write my warning to anyone looking to rent here. I rented snowmobiles last year and this place is just looking to scam people for damage money. I got the damage insurance because I know how these guys operate. Someone tipped one over and slightly bent a handle bar. They could have easily fixed this by bending it back but charged me the max $900 PLUS an extra day of rental for being "out of commission." I can't disapprove enough. There is finally a new location to rent from. Go to Epic Recreation. They will take care of you better than this horrendous place.

I've rented wave runners from this company before and had a good experience so I rented again. This time though was a whole lot different. We got the wave runners into the water and from the first time we pressed on the gas one of them wasn't working right. The engine would rev but the machine wouldn't go over 5 mph. We took it back in and they exchanged it for a different one and said they would prorate the fee on the one since we lost 2 hours of water time. At the end of the day when I brought them back they said there was a rock in the rudder and blamed it on us. How in the world could we have got a rock in it when it wouldn't work the first time we turned it on?? Needless to say not only did we lose time on the water but we were charged for the "damage" we supposedly caused. I will never rent anything from them again. I think they are dishonest.This is an update to my review and the reason I changed my rating. The owner of the company called me within 24 hours to find out what had happened. I explained the situation and he was very willing to work things out. Because we had returned the water craft so quickly after renting and due to the explanation of the problem, he honored the proration of the rental and refunded to us what was charged to us for damage. As my previous review stated, we have rented from this company before and have always been well pleased. The owner was professional and courteous and fair in his dealings with us. We are pleased with the outcome and grateful for the quick response.

This is more a review of the manager, since all of the employees except for the manager were excellent, and the equipment was in great shape, fun to play on, and easy to rent. We rented one jet ski for the day and had a lot of fun - up until the point we tried to return it. We drove it back to Fun Time Rentals at a crawl in the no wake zone, but I guess it wasn't slow enough for the tiny snot-nose manager that chased us in on his tractor putting us in danger while yelling at us the whole time to cut the engine. He came so close to us in his tractor he started scaring my daughter. Then, to top it all off, he charged us a $50 gouge fee ticket" that I am sure went right in his pocket. We were with a party of 50 people through the weekend, and this stunt cost Fun Time Rentals thousands of dollars in business just from our group alone. When I told the manager that the rest of our group would go elsewhere, his response was "I don't care. " This manager is probably costing this rental company a FORTUNE, since he's obviously having a hard time showing that he's a competent employee. I understand that not every guest is going to be courteous, but we had absolutely no wake in the No Wake Zone, and when I tried to talk to anyone else, they hadn't seen us come in and couldn't back us one way or the other. We had to pay the $50 ticket, with no proof other than this one person's word, and he did not seem very reputable.

DO NOT rent the UTV Can-am!!WHEN you are renting it online their website says... "Geared down for lower speeds due to tracks. Rent this machine from our Bear Lake Funtime location and drive right from our location to access the nearby mountain trails or cruise around town."AFTER you pay, they send you a rental agreement that says that if they don't have enough snow and you can't ride on the road..."we have trailers available (included)".When we got there, we found out that the TOP SPEED is 10 mph. Average is 8!!!We decided not to rent them, and they did not charge us the full rental fee, which they could have. That was they only bright spot in this whole thing. I emailed the manager and told him I didn't feel the information on their website or their customer service was very clear or informative and that they should add more details about the SLOW speed and that it is better to trailer them so you can save that time riding the trails instead of riding on a paved road. At 10 mph, we would have spent half of the rental time driving up and back on the road. Waste of time and money. This was the manager's response..." If customers insist that we give them an exact speed, we oftentimes will say the machine goes about 10 mph, when in fact the tracked machine can reach speeds of 15-20 mph depending on conditions. This is to keep reasonable expectations of the speed of the machine since most people's perception of 10mph on a machine like this is more like 20mph."So, the customer must INSIST if they want details and/or correct information so they can plan their rental time. That is not good customer service.

Will never go back to this place!! Wish I could give it 0 stars. I Rented a sea doo spark 2-up for the day and got some weeds wrapped up in the impeller and it broke the wear ring. Originally I asked how much for the part and the tech told me around 40-50 bucks. I was okay with that so I walked inside to pay for it. This is where the horrible review comes into play. They said they didn t have any replacement parts so now they have to cancel tomorrow s rental and I have to pay for tomorrow rental charge. I then asked so why didn t you tell me this before hand? They said oh the manager came in mid day and said after they already had two machines with the same problem that day so we got to start charging them for tomorrow s. I work in a service shop and that IS NOT how you handle issues. All they could say was sorry. Horrible customer service. It s not the renters fault that they are short on parts. Isn t that part of owning a rental business be ready to repair small issues? I will be contacting my lawyer and taking this to court. WHAT A JOKE DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.

My 4 brothers and I rented their Ski Doo snowmobiles and had a great day on the mountain! Their check in process was good and they gave us some great information about the machines and the area before we headed out. I won t hesitate to rent from them again when I m back in the area!

I will never attempt to rent anything from this place again. Their customer service is non-existent and really don't seem to care. The employee on duty when we went in was unfriendly and very unwilling to help. He seemed irritated that he had a customer. We went in and when we asked some questions that this employee didn't want to bother trying to answer, he told us he didn't know and instructed us to drive 14 miles to another rental place to ask them instead. Real nice. Thanks for nothing!You'll notice the owner only either responds to positive reviews or just to gaslight those that have given negative reviews. To me, this says a lot about how this business is operated. Seeing the way the owner has responded to some of these, I'm not surprised by my experience.

Our experience with Bear Lake Funtime was not awesome. We called a couple months in advance of our trip and pre-paid for four 6-person UTV's. They mentioned the the four units would be at three different locations. We asked for them to be brought to one location so we didn't spend our rental time running around to three locations. We were told that wouldn't be a problem. The day before our arrival we received a confirmation phone call. They mentioned we would need to plan on driving to the three different locations to pickup the machines and we could plan to pay when we arrived. That went against what we were told originally, and we had already paid a few months before. Luckily, we showed up early but they still gave us a difficult time about the date and their unavailability to accommodate what they said they would do. They brought one one of the machines to the location but we had to go get the other one. They failed to tell us we would have to pay $20 to get through the gate where the rental place was. And, by the time we picked up the machine and were on our way we were 30 minutes into our rental time, even though we arrived 45 minutes earlier than our appointment time. We suggested they compensate us for the time loss but were told that wasn't going to happen. The helmets and goggles were dusty from previous rentals and smelled like other people had been sweating in them. It was very gross. When we rented machines in Oregon we were given skull caps to wear (and keep) so the helmets stayed clean. Also, everything happened exactly as we were told it would. We don't feel like that is too much to ask for from a company that is charging to provide a service. We won't rent from Bear Lake Funtime again.

Day 1, 31 Jul: Booked a 9am-5pm ski boat online rental at north shore. Showed at 8:45am and no one was there. They finally showed up after 9am and were surprised to see us. Filled out the paperwork and finally got the boat in the water after 10am. They agreed to let us keep the boat until 6pm but wouldn t pro rate and just charge for the 7 remaining hours which was a pain since we had other stuff planned and scheduled at 6pm. The employee helping us launch had no idea how the boat worked and couldn t answer any questions. He did tell us we needed to run the blower in idle but didn t know why and didn t check to see if it was working. I had to google it to find out the blower helps prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Probably something they should check and know about when renting to new boaters.Day 2, 1 Aug: Booked a 9am-5pm Can-Am 4 seat rental at Funtime. I arrived at 8:45am along with 5 other people. I had a reservation booked 3 weeks prior but we got to wait while the walk-ins were helped. Then we got to sit through a 20 minute presentation on waverunner safety before we were finally helped and checked out. It was quick until we got to the discussion on tires. The employee spent 5 minutes talking about how sensitive the tires were and how they could pop and shred at any minute. I definitely should have inspected the tires much closer had I known what was going to happen. I have ridden 4 wheelers and side by sides for 10 years and never had a problem with tires. We drove off the lot after 10am with no offer to extend the time. I drove for about 2 hours, around town on asphalt and dirt roads with the little kids. Never even went on a trail. Stopped at the market in town and came out to find a flat tire. Called and had a mechanic out pretty quick. They changed the tire, threw it in the back of the truck, and left after promising to show me the damage later. When I took the Side by Side back, the employee informed me that it had a sidewall puncture and that I had to purchase a new tire. I asked to see the puncture and they wouldn t show me. Something about not being able to find it. Overall a very shady deal and I felt like they weren t very honest. A side wall puncture in town is pretty much impossible, but a little duct tape on the inside of a side wall puncture will keep air for a few hours. All they needed to do was show me the damage and help me inspect the tires beforehand.Day 3, 2 Aug: Booked 2 x 9am-5pm waverunners online from North Beach. They were on time and it was a good day. Wish the rest of the rentals had been similar.Overall, we spent over $2000 a Bear Lake Funtime for our family vacation and we expected much better customer service and much less hassle. I included the dates because the owner likes to claim that negative reviews weren t customers. I would definitely not rent here again. I understand that a rental place is looking out for their equipment and that people can be abusive and damage things, but most people are just looking to have fun with their families and don t need to be lectured at checkout or treated like criminals.

I had a great time with the four seater side by side we rented. I would have given these guys five stars had they been a little more organized when I got there to pick up my machine. They also told me to bring it back clean and then when we went out to look at the machine the previous person didn't bring it back clean so I instead brought it back cleaner than the way I found it.These guys were very helpful with giving me instruction on how to drive it, how to be safe in it, and where I could and couldn't go while driving it.I would recommend them for all your UTV needs.

We rented a ski boat here last summer for a couple days and it was a great experience. The boat looked brand new and gave us no problems. I noticed the previous renter didn't return it with a full tank and they topped it off for us on site. We plan on renting it again this summer.

Was planning on renting a jetski for 4 hours, only used 2 and they prorated the charge for me. They provided life jackets for the jetski rental, and parking. I got out spending less than $200 for a very memorable experience. Would definitely use this company again.

Had a great time renting a wave runner from these guys today. It ran great and having it on the water already was as convenient as possible. Had some lightning roll in on us, but they let us park it for an hour while the storm passed then added the hour back to the end of the rental. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with.

We rented the RZR last Saturday, the staff was great. Let me start out by saying the fault is all mine. The problem I had was that I did not take the insurance. Take it even though the deductible is $900. We tipped the vehicle over and what I thought was going to be maybe $700 to $800 ended up being $1861 plus my rental fee of $300. I expected to pay for the damage but man look out. My problem is that they charged me for every single scratch and everything else they could possibly figure we did. Charged me $250 for some scratches on the side of the roof even though they did not replace the roof. 6 hours of labor @$90 per hr to sand and repaint the side of the roll cage. Don't try to talk with the owner because he is a Psycho. You can not reason with him. Just make sure you get the insurance because you will pay for every scratch.

Shady establishment, don t rent here! Bear Lake Funtime isn t fun. These guys are not interested in repeat customers; they fleece first time customers who are on vacation in the beautiful Bear Lake area. We rented a 4 passenger Polaris RZR UTV and took it out with our 2 year old. We were out 20 minutes on the approved trail when the tire popped as we traveled at 10 miles an hour. We immediately drove it back to the shop thinking that the insurance policy we paid for would allow them to quickly change the tire and we could use the rest of our rental time. We spent the next 60 minutes trying to reason with the owner that a $500 charge for the tire PLUS THE ALLEGED slightly bent A arm was not the result of our use. The tire was older than the others and the metal scuff on the A-arm was oxidized AND on the other side of the popped tire. They called us liars! They informed us that no one had rented the unit for three weeks and we were the only ones who could have been responsible. Our $150 rental charge was not pro-rated; TOTAL COST $650; that s how they make their money. Stay clear of Bear Lake Funtime!

We rented four paddle boards and two jet skis. Steve was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable when answering all our questions. I was most impressed with his patience and cooperation when our plans changed which resulted in a refund. Then when he found out my husband is a Veteran, he gave us an additional refund. Thank you, Steve, for helping to make this trip a good memorable event.
