This place is seriously the best! They treat you so well and go above and beyond to help you and make you happy! I am fairly new to the area and our truck had a little rattle in it. I called several places but because these guys were close to where I lived so I took it to them first. They took me right in and checked out our truck and fixed it on the spot. I went in to check out/pay and they didn't even charge me! I insisted and they said to just come back when I had another issue with my cars. So...I came back with our SUV and trailer that were not communicating together. They took a look at both of them and gave me the prognosis (I had to take my SUV to Mercedes to get them to program something) and didn't charge me again! I told them they couldn't do that again and they insisted. I was completely blown away! I will continue going to them and would highly recommend you use them. They don't treat you like typical auto body shops that will over charge you for everything!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

This is unbelievable I know but I received a same day appointment. These people are pros, courteous and honest. They said that my car would be ready today and it was. The price was reasonable. It is refreshing to find someone that is honest and to the point. My friend took his Subaru in for a timing belt replacement. They botched that job, causing the belt to later snap and then damage the valves. They then had to replace both heads, this took them almost a month to finish. When he got the car back they said, "we never want to see this car again," but had broken the timing belt cover, camshaft sensor and caused a leak in a transmission line. I was able to to help my friend fix most of the problems, that Sterling Auto caused, but I could not believe their poor workmanship! All mechanics make mistakes, but these guys fix them and screw up things much worse.

Sterling replaced my 2004 Corolla engine within the time and estimate given to me. The car runs like new without any problems associated with such a larger undertaking. Completely satisfied with the job they did.

I was pulled over for burned out license plate bulbs....and Sterling was able to squeeze me in in a short matter of time. I'm so grateful for this local company. Ryan was really courteous and understood that this fix was time sensitive (I didn't want to get pulled over again). Once again the team at Sterling Automotive did an amazing job restoring my wife s Subaru to A-1 tip top condition. We were having a couple of electrical issues and they were able to diagnose the problem order the correct parts and repair for 1/2 of what a dealer would charge.We ve been using Sterling for years and every time they hit it out of the ballpark Service: Auto maintenance

Oh how hopeful I was of this establishment. 4.8 not bad, but this has to be a locals only review or review for simple stuff. My engine seized and to make a long story short 8 grand and 9 months later I had to take my truck to another shop. The patience I had for them to constantly kick my truck down the road is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone poor customer service never calling me back. Even now they were supposed to give me a partial refund for the work that they did. It's been months since I got my truck and still nothing. They gave my truck back three times saying it was fixed and three times I ended up calling a tow truck and being stranded on the road.

Sterling has been great to work with. I have had to take my truck in a couple different times for the same issue on two separate occasions but their communication is decent and prices are fair. I give Sterling Automotive a 5-star rating I felt very welcome when I entered their business they are very polite to me and understanding. I went to them for fluid changes they checked my vehicle and found small problems that would need to be done later but was not a safety hazard they did not try to talk me into work that didn't need to be done. After the work was completed the mechanic that did the work Cayman explain to me what he done the weight of the oil and grease that he put in my vehicle and thank me before I left. The work that was done was I needed the front and rear differential grease changed on my 4 by 4 and the transfer case all that was done and on my way in a short time. I don't think you can go wrong using this business as your full-time mechanic they did very good work and very polite to the customer.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The three most important factors I consider when choosing a business to work on my vehicles is trust, quality of work, and cost. At Sterling Automotive, I 100% trust that they are going to be honest with recommended maintenance and they will NOT recommend work that isn't required. Second, they back up there work and while I've never had an issue, I know they'd make it right. Third, I've cross checked their costs and they are very reasonable. I would highly recommend using Sterling Automotive and will continue to take my vehicles to them!

Brought my 2000 Silverado in for a transmission service. This is our only vehicle in the area and we needed a quick turnaround. The Sterling technician found a bad shift solenoid during the test drive after the service was complete, and informed me of the issue. We needed the truck back by COB the following day; Sterling ordered the part , took the transmission back apart, replaced the solenoid and had the truck back on the road by noon! They also provided me a ride to and from our Eden residence - a very cordial and pleasant guy named Rudy both times. Excellent service, very responsive and timely, and also very reasonable price-wise. We'll be back next time we are in need of service! Great experience from start to finish. Took or 63 Bonneville on for a leak and asked them to look over everything let us know what we were looking at. There was several thing that needed repair. We were able to go through pick what we felt was most important at the time. There was no pressure to fix more things like you get from a lot of other places. They were quick at getting it all done and even worked with our crazy schedule to arrange pickup on a day they were closed. Great, great service; TJ and his crew were super professional and did high quality work. Very impressed with their work, work ethic and honesty. Service was on time and price competitive. We ve had 3 cars there for work and everything has been been just spot on. Having Sterling Automotive in the Valley is awesome - we ll be back!

Sterling is great for all automotive repairs. Awesome that they are in the Ogden Valley (Eden) as it beats driving to Ogden to have repairs completed. Staff is friendly, honest, and do great work. Never had to bring any of my vehicles back for repairs Sterling has made. They are also very competitive with their services, so you'll never get ripped off.

Really friendly and helpful!I called in about 6 months earlier about getting an oil pan fixed after discovering it was dented during an oil change. When I called in time for the next oil change they already had the part in advance (even though we talked about ordering it when my next oil change came) and were able to get me in quick. The repair and change was done surprisingly quick.These guys are really nice and it s super convenient having them in the valley!Service: Oil change

Had to find an alternative due to COVID impact and normal shop on reduced hours and long lead time to get me scheduled. Sterling Auto was absolutely great from the first phone call. They were able to get me in for a critical repair on my Toyota Matrix before my wife had to return to work. The quote was clearly explained, the work was completed within the time they told me it would me, and the car has had no issues since. Thank you TEAM Sterling Automotive for the GREAT customer service and the quality workmanship!

When a person can feel complete confidence in their mechanics it is such a relief. Price is very fair and the time taken to inform and explain arising issues and what needs immediate attention is very much appreciated from a customer stand point to know the needs of their vehicle. I am still feeling like a VIP! From the first telephone call to the completion of the repairs and vehicle pickup, I was in awe of the professional kindness and clear concise service I received! I called stating I had a dead vehicle and Stephanie lined up my services so quickly and I was kept in formed of the diagnostic results, repair parts arrival and service details so efficiently that it seemed she was doing the repairs herself! Excellent service. Very trustworthy. We have two Subarus and a very old GMC Envoy. They have worked on all three cars multiple times and we have been happy with every visit. I have been a repeat customer since a few months after they opened. I would recommend Sterling Auto to anyone in the area.Due to an earlier review, I would like to add, I am female and have never been treated with a condescending attitude by any of the Sterling staff members. My teens have also been treated with respect, which has been great! It allows me to teach them to take responsibility for their car without worrying they are being taken advantage of.

I had initially asked for a radiator flush as well as tire rotation and oil change. They could have just performed the service I had asked for. It's a challenge to find a shop this good in a larger town or city, so the fact that Eden/Ogden Valley has a auto repair shop of this caliber is really surprising, and frankly awesome.After taking two vehicles to them, this is why they win: professional and friendly front desk, very reasonable pricing, spot-on diagnosis (no unnecessary work performed), overall very helpful and positive experience.Two other really great things about my experience last month: full registration process done onsite, and they gladly mounted and balanced tires I sent to them from tirerack.com. Talk about living your life instead of getting the run around with your car! Sterling has relieved some of the biggest pains about living in the valley--glad they are here!Services: Transmission, Electrical

We've had both of our cars serviced here. The work is very good and the prices were fair... no upselling.In less than 5 minutes they diagnosed a problem causing one car to pull right during sudden stops. The manufacturer dealer service department could not find the source of that problem in three separate visits.

We have been going to Sterling since they opened years ago. This valley is incredibly fortunate to have a shop of this quality locally. TJ and his team are incredibly thorough, honest, and quite capable of all your automotive needs. The shop is up-to-date and extensive. The waiting room is immaculate though I typically drop my car off and walk to work. However, they also will drive you home if you don't want to wait in the shop or do your other shopping needs only a few blocks away.

Sterling Automotive was very professional and took care of the problem. Kandace at the front desk informed me that the alternator I was having replaced was under warranty, as such, I was not charged for the replacement alternator. I was needing an analysis of my recently purchased 14 year old BMW s general health. The friendly staff at Sterling Automotive got me in in one day and performed a complete check of all fluids and the electrical system. The 7 year old battery was replaced and reprogrammed to BMW specs the same day. Superior service, excellent quality and reasonable prices. Honesty is the most important factor for our family when choosing who we do business with. I've gone to other places (out of convenience) in the past that said I needed work done that wasn't necessary. I trust Sterling. I came to them for a second opinion on brakes and they were honest about how much life was left on them. Again, with this latest visit when we had them change our brakes, they gave me a heads up that calipers might need to be replaced, but they were fine. Other auto places would have done more work just to get paid for it.

TJ and the other mechanics and technicians at Sterling Automotive are among the best I have encountered in my 50 years of driving and owing vehicles. They schedule my vehicles quickly, they get them done on time, they perform excellent work, and they follow-up and stand-behind their service. I would highly recommend them, and have in fact sent many good friends and family members to them.
