I wish I could give 10 stars.I have a 2011 Mini Cooper S, and im thinking of naming her Mystery because we could not figure out what was going on, or why the limp mode and check engine light was coming on. We went to a mechanic who had 40+ years experience and WASTED over $3000. I found JP Automotive, the reviews were awesome, and I was not let down. He found the issue, fixed it quick and beat the $2600 the previous mechanic was saying we would need to pay to fix the issue, by a fraction. Jaden knows what he's doing, he's professional, doesn't talk to you like you are dumb, and showed compassion, not to mention had extremely fair pricing. I will never take my mini anywhere but to Jaden. You won't regret going to him with your import. 10/10 definitely recommend

I m done with JP s. I took my cars to JP s for years even though they were a bit further away than many other mechanics. A few years ago I stopped going to them when they did not put oil in my car after performing an oil change. Now my son is taking my older car through hot Arizona and I am concerned about the timing belt and wanted to have some preventative maintenance performed. I made an appointment and asked JP s to check the condition of the timing belt and replace it if necessary, and to diagnose a trouble light. I can do that work myself, but I just didn t have time. They called me and told me it needed almost $900 worth of work to fix an oxygen sensor, replace my front brake pads and rotors, and to replace the fan belt. They didn t even attempt to look at the timing belt. They then told me it would take an additional $800 to look at and $1100 to replace. That was the main reason why I took my car in there in the first place, and they didn t even look at it or tell me the situation before hand! I looked up on the Internet how much a timing belt replacement should cost and the range was between $400 and $800 -on the high end. Because of my urgency and lack of time, I had them replace the oxygen sensor for $313. I was charged a $100 diagnostic fee even though I had them replace my oxygen sensor. Most mechanics will waive the diagnostic fees if you perform any sort of work with them. I took a day off work to do the other repairs myself and found that my car has an electronic clutch fan and the fan is not even belt driven. Giving them the benefit of doubt, I looked at the belt that drives the alternator. That belt is in near perfect condition with no cracks or signs of wear. I then pulled my front tires off to look at the brake situation. Both rotors are in decent shape and I have about a quarter inch of brake pad left on all four pads. I included a picture so you can see what I mean if you know what the parts are. They have almost as much pad left as brand new brake pads do. My brake fluid was a little low, but it was still in the normal range. While this business does have a nicer new front office than they used to, and they are now also focusing on Diesel engines, overall, I feel they have gone downhill significantly in the past several years. I did not feel valued as a customer. I felt they were attempting to swindle me. This is an honest review. I am an ethical person. I have four years of formal engine repair training and even almost pursued a career in auto mechanics. I realize there s a lot I still do not know about auto repair, but I know enough to believe I was treated unethically.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

My dad has brought our family vehicles here for years along with my own vehicle, they are the only ones I trust to work on our/my car(s), they keep us up to date with calls which is great, they are always friendly, helpful and super nice, always great customer service, I recommend this place to friends and family all the time. Highly recommend this place!

I've been taking my vehicles to JPs for 14 years. They are always accommodating, easy to talk to and their not pushy. I've never walked away feeling like they had been dishonest or that I had been taken. Just a solid, legit place for vehicle maintenance.

If you can drop your car off and leave it, they re great. Came in with my 3yo because I didn t have a choice. I was told my car would be done by noon, at 12:30 and two and half hours of waiting for a sensor replacement I m told the mechanic went to lunch so it will be another hour and a half. Complete disregard for me and circumstances. Probably won t come back. Waste of over a decade coming here.

We were on vacation when our car lost power and we pulled off the highway and noticed this business right off the interchange. They quickly ran a diagnostic and said we were on limp mode and could probably make it to the Hyundai dealership for something a dealership would need to do, and they gave us the diagnostic code to share with them. They helped us quickly, kindly, professionally, and we were very impressed by this business.

We were on the road and lost a trailer tire. Luckily we were right near JP s. For a price that was very very fair, they mounted up our spares saving us a lot of grief. They also did it right away and got us back on the road, saving a lot of our fun day. Thanks for the help guys!Service: Tires

Great service from this shop. I got a letter from the dmv to get my emissions done and took it in for service. The guys at JP s checked it over and told me that the dmv checked that my car was good. The dmv made a clerical error and JP s didn t charge me for the wasted time. Very appreciated.

So I take my car to JP's American Car Care out in Clearfield on a recommendation... I get it back after $770 worth of repairs and the guy working there... his name is Tucker... tells me that I have a small crack in the radiator, but it will be fine for a few months until I can get it fixed. Within 5 days and maybe around 25-30 miles of driving my car starts smoking from under the hood. Turns out it wasn't fine, and that the car was spewing out coolant, and melted the gasket. It's now going to cost me $1500-2000 to repair. My recommendation about the place is that none of you take your car there, ever! They obviously don't know what they're talking about...

The people were really nice and they worked fast. The only reason I dock them was because I was the only person in the establishment wearing a mask in the middle of a pandemic

I feel the mechanics are honest. And I think they do good work. I have been going for a number of years and never had a reason to complain.
