Brake caliper came loose on the highway after Caliber's sub-contractor worked on the car. Thankfully, no one was injured. Following a USAA recommendation to use Caliber, we have had multiple issues stemming from work that was done by Caliber Collision's sub-contract mechanics. Here are each of the issues we had: 1. The top brake caliper mounting bolt was completely missing upon inspection. While my wife was driving down the highway, she could hear and feel a loud grinding coming from the front left wheel that Caliber worked on. Turns out the caliper pivoted forward and was grinding against the inside of the wheel, enough that is scaped off the balance weights. Vehicle had to be towed home. I called Caliber today to explain the situation, and they did not seem convinced that it was due to their work. I reminded them that the work invoice showed that they replaced the brake rotor which would have required them to remove the caliper. Thus they either forgot to reinstall the top bolt, or did not torque it down sufficiently. I would have expected them to have me come back in to inspect the vehicle and ensure it was safe to still drive, but instead they didn't seem ready to accept responsibility. They said they would wait to see if they get any other complaints from other customers....2. Prior to the above issue, when Caliber originally worked on our vehicle, they had to replace a strut, wheel hub assembly, and much more. Following their work, our vehicle began having a rattle while driving and especially over bumps. We took the vehicle back to Caliber (who sent it back to their subcontractor), and they suggested we replace a sway bar link, which they had already replaced (per the original invoice). This not only concerned me that they hadn't identified the root cause of the rattle, they were going to charge me again to fix the same part. I decided to inspect the vehicle myself. To my amazement, not only was the sway bar link in good condition, the CV axle had been spraying grease all over the engine compartment. They apparently did not replace that part when they did the original work, but they should have. Even more concerning, they didn't tell me about all the grease that was surrounding the CV axle. It was only when I performed my own inspection that I saw what was going on. For safety reasons, I had the minivan inspected by the Toyota Dealership who also recommended the CV axle be replaced. Fortunately, Caliber did agree to replace the CV axle after we proved they needed to do the work with the independent inspection. Unfortunately, we had to eat a $165 inspection fee at Toyota because Caliber was incapable of identifying this issue on their own. Worse still, it did not fix the rattle. As it would turn out, the strut that Caliber's subcontractor bought from Autozone (yeah they buy their parts from Autozone) was a faulty part. So, Caliber ordered another Autozone strut, and had to replace it at their cost. This was a nice gesture, but considering all the time, investigative work, and months of coordination, it left us with mixed feelings about the competence of Caliber to manage their subcontractor mechanics. I was ready to move on though, and even left a positive review originally; however, that was until our brake caliper recently came loose, as explained above.I would recommend just having another company do your repairs. My wife and I have spent days, probably adding up to weeks at this point, coordinating independent inspections, working with our USAA insurance claims agents, not having our second vehicle available, getting the vehicle towed for a second time, buying parts to make repairs myself, fixing the brakes myself, and now I still have to get a wheel rebalanced, not to mention all the scratches inside the wheel. Hopefully there aren't other loose bolts or hidden issues that persist. I am considering paying for another $165 inspection just for peace of mind.

I brought our daughter s car in for both front and rear end damage. Everyone at caliber collision were friendly, professional, and helpful. They provided almost daily updates and when the car was done, it looked better than when we had bought it. Great experience!

I originally had a great experience with Caliber Collision, however there were a couple issues that were not fixed initially and they said they would order the part and call me etc. They never called me and I always get the runaround. My brand new truck was also making a high pitch noise and the manager essentially told me there was nothing they could do. Overall dissatisfied.

Took my vehicle in and the experience was great. They communicated with me to keep me up to date, and most importantly the work they did was beyond my expectations.I would absolutely recommend them. Great experience overall and I'll keep them at the top of my list for auto body shops. Thank you, Juan, Skylah and Bernie, for taking such a great experience.

Got some insurance work done in addition to replacing my bumper (outside of insurance) and the experience was great. They communicated with me to keep me up to date, and most importantly the work they did was beyond my expectations. They also gave me a discount for getting some other work done while my car was already going to be there for insurance, which was great.I would absolutely recommend them. Great experience overall and I'll keep them at the top of my list for auto body shops.

Went in for what I thought would be a very simple insurance quote. A buff and polish would take care of what needed to be done but I was told I need to go get my vehicle cleaned and buffed out before he would even consider looking at it.That s the exact service I need, make that make sense. I then asked about getting a quote for an out of pocket repair and he proceeded to tell me it was going to be too costly and time consuming without any hesitation.

Husband got the mirror on his truck ripped off from a local carwash (for the 3rd time, he doesn't go there anymore). The cost was supposed to be $380 according to our quote but we ended up paying $530 out of pocket. They fixed the issue, washed the truck, and detailed the inside but because of the significant difference in price, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

I took a car to this location in Clearfield years ago and they did an awesome job. Just recently had a repair done, different people working there, different manager. Had to have them readjust panels, gaps weren't correct. This is what it looks like after it has been readjusted. Manager is satisfied with poor quality work. Look at the pictures below, the poor workmanship is visible from fifty feet away. Not satisfied and would never take a car back there again. Manager has excuses for everything that isn't done correct. Most frustrating experience I ever had. I don't write reviews, but i don't want someone else to go through the stress of getting a simple repair done correctly.Service: Painting

Wow! Amazing repair job! Abra kept in contact with me consistently letting me know when it would be done. Gave me a 10 day estimate and was done a week early. I don t know why they have such horrible reviews from other people but they were amazing with me.

These folks I can trust to get behind me. Juan Perez is the man! Going home after work and got myself a flat tire, so I pulled into the nearest exit I could find. Luckily, I pulled into Caliber Collision. I talked with Juan about my situation and he gladly helped me (on a broken leg). We got the spare tire on my vehicle and I asked him if I could pay him for his troubles. He told me it was a kind offering and I am grateful for his generosity. I am going to pay it forward to someone else with kindness. I'm glad Caliber Collision has some good people doing great work! I will be doing my future auto work with these guys from now on, since its on my commute to work.

Caliber Collision (formally Abbra Auto Body) has done collision/auto body repairs on two (2) of our vehicles. They've done amazing work, and have finished in a timely matter both times. Thru dip their best to make the process as quick and easy as possible. They even offer a shuttle service if you need a ride home. They'll arrange for a rental car, if you choose to do so. I highly recommend Caliber Collision.*** The only issue we had (both times) was their receptionist/appointment scheduler was very rude, and also messed up appointment times. ***

The woman who answered the phone was rude, almost condescending, when I called in to ask about getting an estimate. She proclaimed that NOBODY could walk outside and look at my bumper to spend another 5 minutes writing up an estimate for at least 10 weeks. I explained I didn't care about starting or finishing work that I just needed an estimate and that's where she got rude. "Well I just told you we don't have time for 10 weeks." then I got hung up on.It's really too bad because I've had positive experiences with this location in the past and the damaged vehicle is the one they had done some great work on in the past. So, I took my vehicle to Beckstrom Body Shop in Ogden on Lincoln Ave. MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE! and an IMMEDIATE estimate.Just go elsewhere if good service and good work is something you desire.

Caliber Collision was the place that was recommended by the insurance company of the person that hit my brand new car from behind. We chose the Clearfield location. They did a wonderful job! They keep me posted throughout the process, and Skylah, the Service Advisor, was always available to answer my questions. She went above and beyond! I would definitely recommend them. My car looks like new again.
