I understand that there is a new owner for the store. I sure hope that they read the reviews that people are putting on Google and take note. I have been coming to Grease Monkey for years to do my safety and emissions and I could immediately tell that something was different when I walked into the space. The niceties like the soda fountain and popcorn are gone and I guess that was something that the new owner decided to take away. When you re waiting for your car to be done, those little things make the wait easier. I also felt like the place was dirty and more rundown than I ever remember it before. The employees did not seem thrilled to be working there, and are not as energetic and professional as they have been in the past. the person that actually did my emissions test today just looked miserable and unprofessional. I am disappointed to say the least and do not know if I will come back. And it s not just the employee attitude or the condition of the facilities but after my emissions test was done, they could not pull up the paperwork in the computer correctly because the guy doing my emissions did not put the information incorrect. My license plate number was not correct so they had to take my car back around and redo the emissions and I had to wait for another car that was in front of me now and so the process took three times longer than it should have. Very disappointed.

Ruined my car!NOTE: my car is a 2005 Lexus ES 330 and has never had any issues prior to bringing it here.Went to Grease Monkey for a simple oil change and emissions test. They told me it would take 30 minutes for both things. 20 minutes later they say it s done but I find out they didn t do the emissions because it probably wouldn t pass. They proceeded to do it anyway and it passed but they said my battery was on its way out?? They proceeded to try and sell me a new battery and I said no thanks and that was that. They don t make me pay for emissions since it took an hour longer then they said it would. Noticed my check engine light and a few other lights that weren t on before are on now. Which couldn t have been before since it had just passed emissions??I had a few more errands to run after that and as I m trying to turn my car on and leave my first stop, my car won t start. I figure it s the battery since they said it s close to the end. When I go to jump it I notice they left their screwdrivers in my hood, which if got dislodged and got stuck in my engine could ve been fatal.Also come to find out the it wasn t the battery, and my car had to get towed. Went into today to ask some questions regarding the issue and was told they didn t have a mechanic available. I felt very brushed off and they did not seem to concerned about the matter. Not sure what they did to my car but safe to say I won t be returning.

RUN! RUN! RUN! Do not bring your vehicle here! Watch out!!!Since the change in management this place is being run by a scam artist! Don't take my review/word for it! Look at all of these 1 star reviews in just the last few months! I went in for a simple oil change and left with my car engine vibrating/making a strange noise immediately! I went to my regular mechanic (that I always go to) and was told that it appears that a few bolts are loose (or could have been loosened intentionally). Again: RUN! DO NOT GO TO THIS GREASE MONKEY! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I don't know what's happened at the Centerville location but I used to know all the techs there and it's like everybody's brand new. I stopped today at 10:00 a.m. because there was only one other vehicle there and I had an appointment at 11:00 I had to get to .I asked the guy how long it would take he said less than 30 minutes and I was 5 minutes late for my appointment that was just 5 minutes away. I would have been even later but I finally walked out and asked him if they were going to change the oil there was four or five guys just standing around watching one guy change a battery in the other vehicle that was there. 55 minutes for an oil change is a little steep if you ask me I've been there numerous times when it's slow and been in and out of there at times and 15 or 20 minutes. Then to top it off we have a fleet account we have approximately 20 pickup trucks that we take there on a regular basis and I didn't notice till I left because I was in a hurry that they hadn't given us our Fleet discount even though the invoiced shows a fleet account so now I'll have to go back to get that and have the office manager pull all our invoices from last month and see if we were giving our Fleet discounts on the oil changes we had done last month because our drivers don't look they just pay and go. We switched to Grease Monkey from Jiffy Lube 7 or 8 years ago and I've never really had a bad experience until the last year when all the new people showed up I don't know what's going on if there's been a change in management that we're probably going to have to find somewhere else to go for our oil changes we switched to Grease Monkey not for pricing but for efficiency and that seems to have disappeared

I have been going to this place for years. They have fair pricing and are usually pretty quick. I really like the car wash but wish the towels , drinks, popcorn, and flowers were back. Really nice guys though!

My wife took in our car for an oil change. They did not ask upfront about a coupon we had. After the fact they would not accept the coupon. So I called back to give the right coupon information and they said nothing could be done after the fact. I rarely write reviews and I ve normally had good service at this place but unsure if I will return. Disappointed for sure

The oil change itself is always good and that's why I have come here for years. This time the long wait was different. Nobody checked me in so I did not know what they were doing until I checked out. TV was off, drink machine did not work, popcorn was off and the little fridge was empty. I know it was busy but let's make the place a little more friendly when we sit here for an hourService: Oil change

Seems to be a change in management. I've been going here since shortly after it opened initially. When John owned it, his guys were polite, trustworthy, did great work, and did their best to offer you the best deal. Now the opposite is true. So disappointing, don't go here. I will never go back. My truck leaks now from the drain plug immediately after the oil change. My truck has never leaked a drop before. The team is now careless and doesn't seem to be trustworthly at all. When I asked how my fluids looked the kid was rude, said he did know, he wasn't the one who did the work, and made no effort to ask the one who did do the work. They did not top off my other fluids, vacum, do the windows, set the tire pressure, etc. When they printed out my registration it was barley legiable because their printer was almost out of ink and wasn't working well. Overall just a mess of a place. Even the light in the bathroom was out. They were not busy at all. Service is terrible and prices are now some of the highest in the area. I do not trust them at all to touch my vehicles anymore. So sad. This was once one of the very few auto shops I trusted for years and I sent everyone there I knew. I will now be warning everyone to find another place.

We ve been going here for years but will now be finding somewhere new. We ve had consistent problems the last few times we ve been here and it s just not worth the hassle. New management has ruined this place and it seems that none of their workers care to do a good job anymore.In todays service, after getting charged a surprisingly high amount for an air filter and then being told in the checkout process that this is a deal, we called the competition to see if these prices were normal and they confirmed that we had in fact been taken.To top things off, getting back into the car I found oil all over my seats, steering wheel, and shifter love getting taken and then having to clean up after what I just paid for.

Stopped in today for my Emissions test. The guys are always professional. Fast, quick service. I was in and out within 5 minutes. They also do great jobs on there Oil changes. I highly recommended this Monkey Pit.

Took my car in for a routine oil change. Car was leaking oil. So went back. They said it was fine. Still leaked. Went back a second time. Told me it was my transmission fluid and I must had damaged it with description of damage.Took it to my reliable auto shop. They said they just had to tighten oil plug!I dealt with all of this for 10 days plus the worry of driving a damaged car.Hence, will not be returning there.

I used to love grease monkey and they had good service and prices. They also were not pushy. The last few times have felt pushy, not very friendly and more interested in making money than doing quality work. My daughter went today and specifically said no to changing the filters because we changed them ourselves and they still pushed them in her face and pressured her to spend an extra 50 dollars for them. Not cool, very disappointed.****Update**** the company replied to my review and gave me an option for a survey to make it right but guess what!?? It s impossible to complete the survey! You get a list of 6ish possible cities in Utah to choose from and this location or city is not on the list. And you can t move on without choosing a place in a totally different county. Even your form letter reply is awful, lip service but you can t follow through.

Basic services not completed. Oil change requirement still on in car still as well as old sticker reminder never changed. Light still on regarding tire pressure as well so that also wasn t checked. They used to vacuum lightly and give a free car was with oil changed too. Not anymore. Time to find a new place after 24 years of taking my car there.

Took my car over to get emissions, registration and oil change today. Left my name and phone number on a sticky note with the guy even though I had done on the spot registration last year ( I had just bought the car in April 2023). Told the tech to give me a call when it was finished but didn't get a call for 3.5 hours. Drove over there and ask why I hadnt been called when it was done and he said they had no contact info for me and my car had never been there before. Weird, I was here last year, but, he proceeded to show me there was no info in the computer for my VIN. Ok, well I left my number and name with the tech at drop off either way so why no call?? No answer, no sorry, nada!!! Paid the guy got home open the glove box and sure enough 2023 Grease Monkey registration!!!! I should have drove back and showed them just out of principle because I felt like I was crazy when in fact I had been there. This place has gone down hill the last 2 years. Go somewhere else!!!�

Took my hyundai into grease monkey and absolutely walked away happier than I've ever been with an oil change. I wasn't pushed to replace a bunch of stuff if something was suggested and I simply Said "not today" it was respected. And that makes me a happy customer. The new manager Nich went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and our car was taken care of.I will be returning to grease monkey for all future car needs!!!

The guys were very disorganized. Nice, but seemed very young in the professional world. They weren t asking pertinent questions after you paid for an emissions test, oil change, etc. Example:Would you like to register your car? They would send you in and out multiple times to find your license plate information, vin #, etc. Turning people away because they didn t have necessary items to service cars. Not very clean. We ve had really good service there the past 7 years, but this past year it s gotten really lax

I ve been going to Grease Monkey literally for years. Have always been happy with the service although they did try to sell you a filter a lot. As long as you keep records you can always check on stuff like that that. Last time I went in Dec 2023 I was shocked by the condition of the place. It was filthy in the waiting room and their computer didn t work so they couldn t pull up you cars history. The personal was not in the least friendly, like they use to be. They guys that worked there were surly and didn t talk to you. I went in for my usual oil change which includes topping off the car fluids. I asked them to check the air in all of the tires which they forgot to do. In January I had to get a new battery so of course we opened up the hood and I noticed none of the fluids had been topped off and I was almost out of windshield fluid. I have no idea if they actually changed my oil. I will not be going back to Grease Monkey again. You lost a a long standing customer and you were out of windshield stickers and don t give flowers out anymore!

Did not put follow up sticker on windshield; attendant was irritated that I chose not to replace air filter s; left driver window open (and it was actively SNOWING) when car was pulled out of service bay and left for me to pick it up. Younger employees were courteous and friendly . Waiting area was very cold. Much different experience than I previously had at Grease Monkey!

1st time I had the oil change on this truck at the Centerville ut location. Went to work this morning to find a big puddle of oil on my driveway. Won't be back! Update.. the manager called me and had me bring it back in. They quickly fixed the issue and gave me a discount on my next oil change. Thank u nick and your team!

The other reviews pretty well document the sad decline of a formerly wonderful business. I have used them exclusively since they originally opened. My last few visits have been simply bad. Examples: personnel are either sullen/unfriendly or appear to have personal issues. Premises are unclean. Computers don't work. "Sorry, emissions tech not in until 10". I really don't want to see your business fail, but it will if you don't pull yourselves together. Still a friend but losing patience.

There is no sense of urgency to fix the car wash. This is the 5th time I tried to get a car wash, and the machine is offline. I don't even know why I pay for an unlimited car wash package if I can't even get a car wash. All I want is to get a car wash. Hate wasting gas to come to the car wash, just to be disappointed.

Everyone was so nice! Very helpful employees and they explained a problem my car has that no one could put their finger on. Even in the busy evening, I was in and out for an oil change quickly. 5 stars Grease Monkey!

The Grease Monkeys are Greasin !I pass probably a dozen places that I could take my car to on the way to this location. I have been going to them for years and they always take care of me!They are super thorough and the way they speak to their customers makes you feel like they actually care about you and see you as a person.Kat took care of me this time and was such a homie. I called Grease Monkey in Centerville to get a quote to change my transmission fluid and I was told $130. When I arrived I spoke to Nich and told him that I had called in and was quoted $130 for a transmission fluid change and that I also needed an oil change but I was not sure if it was a high mileage oil I needed or if it was the full synthetic oil. After waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes he came to me with a brochure showing me $90 for a full synthetic and I agreed to that. Then he came to my seat and said he had a cabin air filter from my car that was dirty which I did not authorize him to do. He said it would be $42 and I declined that service. When he said he was finished he quoted me $89 more than what we had agreed to. So I filed a dispute on the charge with my bank and the amount that he overcharged me was refunded to my account. The employees kept my keys until I was forced to pay the overcharge. No popcorn or soda machine anymore. The sign out front was not working. The carwash was closed. It looks like Grease Monkey will not be in business much longer. I have been using Grease Monkey for probably over 10 years and now I will go across the street and use their competitor for my lube needs.

This place has gone downhill quite a bit over the past year. The waiting room is filthy, no more snacks/drinks, and the staff is less organized. Bummer - this has been a great place for locals for a long time, but new ownership just isn't taking care of it.

They didn t have the oil I requested, so they took it upon themselves to use full synthetic without my approval. Nothing was said until they wanted me to pay. No explanation until I asked and I got a shrug and we don t carry that oil. Certainly not the service I am used to from grease monkey but as management and employees change so does the quality and service. Definitely not for the better at this location. Sadly disappointed in this location

I used to trust this shop a lot, now not so much. I asked for emissions and an oilchange and they only did the emissions. My tires were a little low when I came in and they were low when I left even though the recibt says they added air to the tires. That's just one item of the service checklist I know for a fact they skipped.

Staff was fine. Location was not very clean. Smelt like sewage, the floor was dirty. I usually go to the Clinton location and it s not an issue. Only thing that s annoying is they either don t have the mechanic in for the emissions, or when they do they don t have stickers. So I m always having to go somewhere else to do my emissions or registration done.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Oil change
