Love this place!! While traveling through Cedar City on a Sunday, our GMC's radiator sprung a leak. Well with most businesses closed in Utah, I decided to Google 'Auto Mechanic near me'. With almost 150 reviews and a 4.8 rating, I figured this was the place to go & I was right . They had a key drop, so we were able to leave it there with instructions as to what we thought the problem was while we rented another vehicle from the airport. We needed to get back to San Diego as we had sold our home and had to be there for closing of escrow. They called us early the next morning to discuss their plan of action and time frame for completion. They even fixed a few other things we asked them to look at, figured since the radiator was out we might as well take care of it. All in all, stellar service & communication... We were able to store it there for a few extra days while we closed escrow & rented another car in San Diego to drive back up to pick it up... Whew, they made a difficult situation less stressful & were definately a blessing. Thanks guys, sure appreciate the effort!!

Charles and his team have always given my wife and I the best service. Today was no different, back up camera was stuck on so we couldn t use the radio.They diagnosed the problem, reset the computer and voila! One more satisfied customer! Highly recommend

Towed my truck in cause of a knocking sound. It started and I was able to drive it up on the tow truck. Was called they told me it could be a couple of things they were going to have to open up the engine and it would be x amount of dollars. I gave them the ok to do so. They call me back tell me I need to replace the entire engine and they couldn t get to it for another 6-8 weeks, but I needed to come get the truck cause they could not store it. I told them I would send the tow truck into get it. And my husband and I would figure something else out with the engine. Not only did they not put my truck back together I have peices of the engine EVERY where. And someone one hit the back end of the truck and took the fog lights off the front. When I called to ask about it all I got was. We will check our Cameras. I wouldn t even give them a 1 star. Horrible place to take your car.Service: Engine repair

Took my sisters car here to have it looked at. Asked them to diagnose it before they did any work to it since she is on a tight budget. They said they would look at it on the 18th of December. We waited and waited for a phone call and never received any communication. Ten days later we reached out and they told us the only thing wrong with it was it needed a new battery and told us it would be $228.00. When my husband got in the car and tried to start it, it wouldn't start. He popped the hood and pulled out THE SAME BATTERY IT CAME IN WITH! The guy tried to play it off like he didn't know what had happened, but it is clear they were trying to rip us off! If you have any work done here I would highly recommend double checking it before you drive off. It's pathetic there are no good mechanics left in this town.Update: We replaced the battery since they said nothing was wrong with it and it only needed a battery. Big surprise, it's not running again! The only reason there was no charge was because my husband told you to refund him the money since you were so clearly trying to rip us off. It's not our fault your guys put our last name down as Vylks and got the phone number wrong. Maybe look at hiring competent people in the future.

Charles (owner) is always very nice and known my wife's dad his entire life. Prices are high to me but I usually would fix my own vehicle. However, with age and disability it's tough to do what I used to do 20+ yrs ago. Never been told I needed something fixed that wasn't a scam like some shops have done. The price isn't important when you get a good mechanic and honest. Thanks Charles for helping fix my wife's car.

This is a five star auto shop. The owner, the staff, and everyone else involved are honest, hard-working, determined specialists. bring your vehicle here and expect it to be repaired correctly. This is the best experience I ve ever had at any auto shop in my life and I will never go to another shop after finding these guys. Take my word for it. in particular I had electrical issues that another shop could not figure out of course these guys got it fixed even upgrading numerous other parts to bring my old suburban to it s optimal running state. Also I did not feel like I was taken advantage of when it came time to pay.

Absolutely love this place. First place to suggest an honest, cheap and simple fix to my transmission problem when others wanted to charge me thousands. Very grateful for how I was treated here, this place is very much worth your business!

A good friend of mine referred me to these guys I drove 90 miles from mesquite to get service done on my 06 sonata. Very happy with the work done car drives like new again.

My family and I are new to Cedar city have been moved from New England. Finding a trusted mechanic is always first on the list of things to acquire. We have a classic vehicle that not everybody is comfortable working on. They were able to schedule me in, and do an oil change a new spark plugs on our Porsche. The crew is extremely friendly and personable, their prices, especially considering the vehicle they were working on we re by far reasonable, and we will be using them for our every day drive maintenance as well. My daughter attends SUU. Of course within a few weeks after getting on campus her car broke down. Ken and the good folks at Cedar City Auto Repair was able to diagnose the problem and repair the vehicle at a fair price. I ve been going to this shop for 5 years. I keep going back because I trust their word, and value their advice. Good pricing and quality work is there, but trust is invaluable.Update: I had an issue with a Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I took this vehicle to three separate Toyota dealerships in northern Utah. One of them told me what was wrong, and that they couldn t do anything about it. Another told us it was our driving behaviors, and another told us it was bad fuel.I ended up arranging to have Charles and his crew look at it, and of course, they were able to diagnose the issue, and have it fixed within 2 days. Thanks guys

My daughter is a college student driving a 20 year old Civic that had some issues over heating a few months ago. Cedar City Auto was great at communicating with me and updating me on the status of the car and replaced the radiator and thermostat. A few months later, the car started to over heat again. Cedar City Auto warrantied a faulty part (thermostat) as well as adjusted squeaky belts. They refused to take payment for the extra service they performed beyond the warranty work. They have earned my trust and recommendation!

The mechanics at Cedar City Auto were able to get me home today; my car s alternator died two and a half hours from home and they took wonderful care of me, squeezing me into their busy schedule and helping me check the warranty on my old alternator and giving me a great price for the install. They were so kind and so helpful and I was able to get home with their help. Thank you!!

These guys are awesome. I referred an old Tennant here after 2 other mechanics failed to diagnose what was wrong with her truck, they fixed the truck and didn't break her bank account.When I had problems, they thought maybe it was the coolent leaking and they checked it out without charging me.I brought it back for further diagnostics and they found my oil leak and fixed my sway links. Sway links are super easy to replace and inexpensive. They had an opportunity to blame it on something more expensive or charge me for more than what sway links are worth, but they were fair and quick to service my car.Super grateful for your help!

I have confidence this is a good shop. But if you re traveling through town on the weekend and have car troubles, don t plan on having them see your car on Monday. I was on the phone with them when they opened on Monday and they told me they couldn t see my car until at least sometime Tuesday. Put your faith in some other shop if you are traveling and have weekend car trouble.

Great service for a fair price and they were very easy to work with! Had an appointment to get my oil changed and they were very flexible to work around my school/work schedule. I asked them to check out a noise and vibration my car was making and they said I needed new back tires. They showed me exactly what was wrong, did a very good job explaining, ordered me tires, and got me in to get them replaced the very next day. They even fixed a few minor cosmetic issues without me asking and without charging me extra. I will definitely be going back.Service: Tires

My car had an issue with a tire (nail was embedded; this was in mid August). I had just moved here, took my car in without an appt. The customer service was excellent. Bradley was basically in charge with getting my car serviced. He was extremely kind, attentive and reassuring. Definitely will return to this shop.Service: TiresService: Tires

My car check engine light came on and it was difficult to tell what the issue was. They were able to diagnose it after a few different tests. They didn t charge me for all the different things they had to do to find the problem, which was very nice of them because they could ve. Very helpful and nice people. Would go back again.

When I lived in Cedar City, Charles and the crew were my go to mechanics because they are transparent, friendly, and fair when it comes to price. A dealership in northern Utah insisted that our Lexus was in critical need of repairs that would cost over $5,000 including $175/hour for labor.We brought it to Charles to get a second opinion and he inspected it thoroughly and found that the repairs were not necessary at all. When I asked how much we owed him for his time, he replied, "Don't worry about. You guys are college students." Since then we have driven the car over 70,000 miles without any of the problems that the Lexus dealership said were urgent.Since then, every encounter had was very pleasant and I liked how well they explained things to me. They were always prompt to give us updates regarding our vehicles. They also gave me multiple options and the autonomy to make an informed choice that was not swayed by any biases.You can't go wrong bringing your vehicles here.

They were awesome. I took in my car not knowing exactly what it needed. They were able to find the problem, and quote me a super fair price. Not only that, but they noticed that my throttle cable was a hazard and fixed it for me. I was very impressed. They were putting new parts in an old car and still made it work and look professional. Charles quickly diagnosed my problem over the phone and saved me a huge amount of time and $. I so appreciate his helpfulness because I know he was slammed and went way above and beyond to spend the time helping me. This is my favorite auto shop! Especially as a woman, it s hard to find someone who will look at your car and make you feel safe. Jason is my favorite mechanic and always is willing to help and go above and beyond for me and other customers. He talks to me at my knowledge level about my car and always wants to make things work within my budget. He truly creates customer loyalty and makes stressful car issues a less stressful experience!

They did an amazing job working on my friends mini cooper, Jason and everyone there were awesome. Words can't explain how appreciative my buddy is for them. They were very kind and there was amazing customer service. I highly recommend them to work on your car. I had my AC fixed by these guys. Just searched online for an Auto Mechanic shop.The day after my engine overheated and blew the gaskets. When I opened my front lid discovered that the cap for the coolant was sitting next to the opening. Turned out the mechanic was topping off my coolant for me and forgot to put the cap back on. I towed the vehicle to their shop to discuss. I was pretty nervous about it, as the overheating destroyed the engine and didn t want to deal with conflict if they felt there was anything they missed...When I showed up to the shop I showed them what had happened. The main mechanic said he didn t ever touch the coolant, but went around to find who did. One of the other mechanics came over and said that he filled it and felt that he must of forgot to put the cap on.These guys rebuilt my engine for me, covered all the costs and very very kind and helpful about it.I was so grateful at how honest and willing they were to take care of if my truck. Extremely blown away by their integrity. I came back a few weeks after they fix my engine for something that seemed residual to the damage and they fixed it m, no issues.They definitely got a life time customer out of me. I tell my family that lives in northern Utah to bring their vehicles down here if they ever need to be fixed, because if my confidence in them being straightforward and doing great work.

Here on vacation and just needed a minor repair done quickly. Couldn t have asked for better service! Not only did they get us in quickly to replace/repair the ripped out bolts/screws on the air deflector on the front bumper for an extremely fair price , but everyone was super friendly and professional. They also offered us great travel suggestions and local advice for things to do in the area. Would definitely return here if we needed anything else!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I brought my Bmw .Well no I didn't my husband had it picked up from the shop I had it at JR s .He had it brought over to this place that did more damage . I paid almost 4 thousand dollars for just a air conditioner kit and I went to check on the progress and I didn't even recognize my car the whole front was gone and it was sitting outside . I can't even drive it now . What a shame ! I could have put a whole new engine for what I paid them !

While we were passing through Duck Creek on vacation, our passenger window collapsed. Not wanting to do a road trip with no window, we reached out to these gentlemen to see if they could do a quick repair for us. They found the parts and fixed the window while we waited.
