Bad Experience! Did not replace the oil in my truck.I took my truck in for a full inspection. I did end up getting a few things done here.I paid for an oil change- was told it was completed, they did put a new oil filter but didn t put ANY oil.I was told they did both sway bar links, paid for both but they only replaced the left side.I had to pay extra for a lights diagnostics test. When I talked to them I let them know I wanted everything looked at on the truck to know the issues.At first they said it didn t need a new transmission but after further inspection it did, which is fine I get that. But I decided to get it towed to Randy s transmission instead to get it done because of their price and warranty. In December when they finished the transmission they called to tell me when they did their pressure test so they could test drive the transmission there wasn t oil in there and that there wasn't any oil leak. I called Redline immediately and they were originally apologetic about it and said they would fix the issue. I then talked to Nick the owner and he said I would need to get it towed back to their shop to get it checked out. I was good with that they were going to fix their mistake.Since it was winter and my small business is slow at that time I just paid off the transmission recently. I called Redline to see if I could get it towed there Monday. Nick wasn t in so I left a message.He texted me at 730 that night saying since it had been 6 months and it s been at another shop that he wasn t going to warranty any issues that could have been by another shop. The issues are the things that were done at HIS shop. The oil change- leaving his shop with no oil in could have potentially ruined my engine. I had a mechanic who seen the truck the day it was taken to Redline- he has confirmed there was NO knocking sound before it went to Redline. I was also told there were oil leaks by Redline and Randys Transmission has confirmed my truck has not leaked any of the oil they put in there.I informed Nick of the problems as soon as I found out. I offered to show him proof that Randy's Transmissions has showed me and he didn t respond.

I have never had a good experience with mechanics Until I met Nick. I was a walk-in customer who found Redline Auto online and immediately was blown away by their customer service, attention to detail but most importantly the fact that they made me feel like they had my best interest at heart. I had a major issue with my Mercedes van and he was able to take me in, fix my issue and return the van better than before. I am now a long-term customer and will be service in my van there from now on. Thank you Nick and Britt!

Nick and his crew are fabulous. They are honest, fair and have great service. My nephew shopped for a used car and took a couple to Redline first. They checked the cars out and guided him with issues. After he found the one, they helped him get it in excellent shape and really care about his safety.

Redline'sTeam goes above and beyond to help their customers. The procedures they have at getting vehicles into the shop for a preliminary check for an advisement on options to choose from of how to repair, diagnose, or maintain the specific customer concern with their vehicle. As well as their procedures with contacting with updates and getting texted links to inspections with videos and pictures so that their customers can see exactly what they see without having to take time from a busy schedule to go back to the shop until the vehicle is completed. It is an excellent, trustworthy service that feels to be more up-to-date and well equipt than any other shop in the state. Their knowlegde and dedication towards diesels certifies them as the best diesel specialists in the state as well. Redline Auto and Diesel retains the family owned and operated buisness and customer focus that would fit everyones needs and have great customer satisfaction afterwards and Becks awesome

Redline Auto and Diesel is always quick to get the job done right. The prices are always super accurate and they are honest and upfront about what your car needs before they start working on it. I would highly recommend stoping in for any repair especially any diesel work you need done.

I was in dire need of new brakes for my van to make the 10hr trip home. I called several places and none of them would help me. These folks got me in the same day, were very nice and courteous and actually explained why I keep needing to fix my breaks. Fantastic place, I highly recommend them if you are in the area and needing repairs! Thank you so much for helping me so quickly and thoroughly!

Out of all the mechanic shops I've been to between North Salt Lake and Centerville, Redline Auto & Diesel is the only one I'd personally take my car. Nick and Brittney are very honest and respectable people. They are very punctual on their time frames for when their services will be complete, and they don't try to fix things that aren't broke unlike other "mechanics" I've been to. Nick is very knowledgeable in terms of the automotive industry and is more than capable of fixing the more challenging tasks such as engine and transmission repairs and services. I would, and I do recommend these guys to anybody looking for a truthful mechanic who values their work and word. Thanks Nick!

Nick, Britt and their team are incredible! I found their shop online. The minute I walked into Redline Auto & Diesel Repair I knew I could trust them with my 7.3 Powerstroke. Nick was happy to answer all my questions and treated me like family. He knew my truck like the back of his hand. His prices were very fair and he did everything he could to make the job as affordable as possible. His techs did an amazing job on my truck and it runs better than ever. Dishonesty at it's finest!! Don't use this place!!! They told me my battery was bad and tried to charge me over $3,000.00 for a strut replacement. That didn't include the new battery they tried to sell me. I picked up my car and had the battery tested and it was fine. Everything they told me was a lie. I still was charged $166.00 to diagnose the problem. Then when I didn't want to repair it, he offered to buy the car for complete low ball number. This place came recommended by a good friend but the original owner has retired and now it is under new management. Too bad! This situation is why women don't trust mechanics!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Took my Ford excursion in because it was having troubles starting. These guys found the problems and fixed them. The problem was allot bigger than I thought originally, but they handled it. Everyone I talked to was kind and helpful. They provided me with all the information. I know more about my truck now than I ever have. Thank you for your help. We will be back. Hopefully not any time soon though :)

Nick at Redline is amazing! I am very picky about who works on my car. I have had terrible experiences with dealerships and price gouging. But Nick and the team were fair with their prices and fixed my car quickly. Had them change the oil in my car (from a free drawing) - they put the wrong oil in and created some damage. When they were changing the oil they told me they discovered a problem and suggested some repairs over $500. Luckily I took to my regular mechanic , who is a friend. I showed him the report they gave me and he checked it out and it did not turn out to be a problem. My mechanic saved me over $500. I won't return - between their suggestions and the wrong oil. I'm just hoping my engine is not damaged from their oil change and grateful I have an honest mechanic who checked them.

My trucks turbo failed while I was out on the road working. I found Nick and Britt on Google and they were kind enough to get me in right away to look at it. Once they found out what was wrong, they were straight forward and honest about the price and timeline to complete the repair. I'm extremely happy with the service I received. Nick was also very helpful by telling me how to take the preventive measures to keep the truck maintained. Used Redline Auto/Diesel for a new purchase inspection, as I was buying the vehicle from out of state and wanted to make sure it was good to go. They charge 1hr of labor ($160ish with tax etc and that s pretty standard in the industry). Their system is nice and they are able to email/text the report with findings and photos of what they found. I gave 3 stars because the tech only spent about 30min with the truck and I believe he Okayed a lot of items on the inspection without actually verifying. I noticed within 5 minutes of purchasing the truck my fog lights didn t work (hit a rain storm going through a mountain pass), report claims fog lights were good to go but somehow 1 was burned out within 5 minutes of owning the truck, and the other had a lose connection?? Not a big deal until you look into the cost of replacing the light and it s over $200 just for a new stock LED fog light no labor to install. Would have been nice to know prior to purchase and now I m wondering just how much was overlooked for my $160/30min inspection.

I have taken my vehicle to this place several times. Nick is professional and easy to work with. When other auto shops wouldn t work with my warranty Nick went out of his way to make the call. He keeps communication open every step of the way. He is honest and will let you know exactly what needs to be done or if it can wait. Redline has definitely gained a customer for life. Nick is a very nice guy and has been super honest with me. My truck ended up worse than we had expected so he had me come down and showed me everything and we talked for quite a while. His prices are high but your paying for all the knowledge he has and has gained over years of being a mechanic. He knows through experience what you should do and what you can t go cheap on and skip a step.Service: Engine repair

I usually don t leave reviews but WOW WOW! First off they are seriously the nicest people EVER. I took my vehicle to a Hyundai dealership a week ago, and they quoted me for a 1400 dollar repair. I wanted to wait and weigh my options such as buying a new car since my car is a 2013. I wasn t sure I could justify pouring 1400 into it when I could use that for a down payment on a new vehicle. Anyways my car broke down completely and had to be towed to the nearest shop, Redline, and I m glad they did. The owner called me within 24 hours and explained that the problem was going to be a simple and easy 300 dollar fix. The owner took the time to fully explain, and wasn t rushed whatsoever. The owner said that he should have my car completed by tomorrow. I seriously will not be taking my car ANYWHERE ELSE as long as I live in Bountiful and honestly Utah for that matter. It s so hard nowadays to come by a mechanic who is going to be honest but look no further guys!!! Thank you so much Redline for the transparency, professionalism, timeliness, and kindness. You have earned my business and families business ten times over! Such a GEM of a family owned business!

I took my 2011 Honda Pilot to Redline for a suspected bad wheel bearing. Nick, was able to diagnose the issues quickly and was willing to get back to me with pictures and invited me into the shop to look over the problems with him if needed. Nick repaired our front wheel steering including a rack & pinion replacement, tie end rods, bad wheel bearing, and did an alignment. Our repair was done quickly, priced fairly, and got us back out on the road within a few days. I have found myself a trustworthy mechanic that I will be using here on out. For sure a customer for life. Nick was able to replace the turbo in my truck when every other shop in the state was telling me they were months out. Incredibly friendly and informative of what was going on with my truck and the best ways to go about fixing it. Brought my powerstroke here for an inspection and fluids change. They did a great job giving me an upfront estimate and doing the work for that amount. They found several minor issues that will need to be addressed in the future and explained the options to repair them. They took the time to answer my questions so that I understood what needed to be done. They treat you like a friend. This is a great shop with good people. Nick goes above and beyond to help his customers. I was stranded in Kamas and he willingly drove one hour to fix my car. Turned out it was not what we thought. Redline was willing to come back the next morning to fix my car. I did not want him to drive back. So he found a mechanic in Kamas and set me up making sure Woody's took care of me when he couldn't. My old car finally reached it's end and when it was going to be cost way more than what the car was worth to fix it completely, they gave me a great deal for their service for trying what they could. Since I wasn't walking out with a fixed car, they were really understanding about it. They even helped me take off the license plates when the ordeal was over.Service: Engine repair

I had a consistent problem with the AC in my Ram pickup. Every summer I had to send it to another shop to try and diagnose and repair. After three years of this, and hundreds of dollars, I decided to try Redline. Nick was fantastic. He took the time to explain the possible problems, made a quick diagnosis and got to work on the repair. The repair required the dash to come out which also involved removing the front seats. With the dash out Nick noticed some wiring that was done previously by another shop was shoddy. He repaired it for free without being asked. They also vacuumed under the seats while they were out. While getting other work done, they told me that I needed a new head gasket at a cost of $2400. Took car to dealership for 2nd opinion and was told it DOES NOT need to be replaced at all!!!
