I brought my truck in to get a quote on making my truck quieter as it already had a custom exhaust on it. Their quote was hundreds less then their competitor right down the road! They were able to get it right in! Simon and Jeremy were great to work with! I am in multiple car clubs and will referrer everyone I know to them!

We were introduced to Ray's Muffler Service by my brother-in-law many years back. My daughter, Sadey, was attending Weber State College and we needed a dependable place for her car to be serviced. Simon has been so cordial and dependable. They are very capable and competent technicians with integrity! We were recommended this place and I want to pass along the recommendation. We had our car looked at by other places, who all told us we would need to replace our brakes. Here they took the time to inspect the brakes, find what was specifically wrong, and repaired the part without having to replace the entire system, saving us a lot of money. The technicians were all so candid and truly tried to give us the best deal. I am incredibly impressed with their integrity and quality.

Ray's was wonderful! We brought my son's truck in first thing in the morning and got it back the same day. They were transparent and good at communicating with us. Would definitely go there again

Took my Tahoe here for a harness for my back tail light to be fixed because some other place around here BB couldn't fix the problem so rays crew fixed it! finally after 3 months its fixed and they installed my nice muffler to 10 series flowmaster. I recommend Rays to take you vehicles there Honest and fair price..

Simon always treats me fair and does a great job! I have gone to Rays Muffler for 4 years now and they can always get my truck fixed in a day or two at an affordable price. Thanks Simon!Great place To go for older vehicles you don t want to spend a lot of money on.

They're we're able to get me in on very short notice before a long road trip. They quickly diagnosed the problem and maintained excellent communication during the processes. The completed the diagnosis and repair for barely more than another shop quoted for just the diagnostic.Very impressed with Ray's and highly recommend.

We've always gotten great service at Ray's. They are one of our go-to places for auto repair.This week, something under the car was dragging on the ground and we brought the vehicle to Ray's to get an estimate on the repair. They reattached the part on the spot and considered the few minutes that they spent so negligible that they didn't even charge us. This isn't the first time they've done something like this, which means we trust that they're not taking advantage of us when we have a more significant repair.

The guys at Ray's have always done a great job in diagnosing and fixing what is wrong with all of our cars. When it's a job that they aren't equipped to handle, they recommend other experts. Jeremy and Simon are great at communicating, and always get things done when they say they will. I asked Ray s to do an uncommon muffler modification which isn t exactly straight-forward, but it s not complicated either, just weld in a pipe between the inlet and the outlet on two mufflers. I got exactly that, and they got it done very quick: just one day between me dropping off my mufflers and picking them up. I must commend Ray s on their speed. However, I m very dissatisfied with the quality of the work for the price I was charged. For $100 per hour and 2.5 hours of work to do both mufflers, I d expect a much higher quality in the finished product.

Rays Muffler has been great. I brought my car in for a new catalytic converter and it was about half the price of the other quotes I had. Later I brought it in for a misfire and he diagnosed it correctly got it fixed and was able to figure out that I had a bad wheel bearing and replace that too for the same price as I was quoted at the dealership for just the misfire. No one else seemed to know what the sound was, but he knew right off it was a bad bearing. The car drives great now thanks to Rays Muffler!

Had a special project that took about 6 weeks to coordinate, Simon and Steve took extra special care of me and my vehicle and I couldn t be more pleased with the result. This was a labor intensive build, and they kept me well informed along the way. Thanks, Ray s and team! Great job!

I took my truck in to get the AC fixed. They estimated $750 to replace it. I said go ahead. A few hours later they called and said the belt needed tightening and saved me $600.. I needed a diagnostic on the O2 sensors for a newer Volvo. I suspected it was not functioning and would need to be replaced. I had the work done at Rays because they had serviced breaks and oil changes previously without a problem. As I, drove away, I could tell the car still wasn't running correctly. I took it to the dealership, where they informed me the catalytic converter was cracked, they replaced it and it was good to go. I struggled with them earlier with a CNG vehicle as well. I think they are great with the basics, but have seemed to miss when it comes more complex issues. I could sense the apprehension when I dropped it off- I pushed to get it done. So I can't say its all on them...Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Emissions testing

Great service! Nice facility and staff. Most customers should probably plan to drop off the car because there's usually a long wait. I decided to just go for it and wait there because I didn't have a ride home and I just wanted to get it handled rather than arrange to do it later. They were able to get it done quickly and I appreciate whatever they did to make that possible so I didn't end up waiting very long. Will definitely come here regularly for all of my vehicles.

I have been coming to Ray s for over thirty years and they are the BEST! They never try to sell you repairs you don t need. They just tell you what is wrong, how much it costs, and how much time they need to fix it. Also their prices are great. Granted they are usually pretty busy (because of their awesomeness) and you may have to leave your car for a while but it s worth it. They also don t charge you $60 just to tell you what s wrong like most places. It s so hard to find honest mechanics and these guys really are.(Steve and Simon!) I don t even live in Bountiful anymore but come to Rays if I need work done because they rock. GO THERE!

I used to take my families vehicles to another place in town (B.B.'s) only to find I was being over charged by literally several HUNDRED dollars. My brother recommended Ray's and I'm so very happy he did! They always take great care of us, with complete up front honesty, and we know that what ever the job, it's going to be done right and at a fair price. That is so incredibly comforting in the auto repair world. Thank you Steve, Simon and Dustin and your whole crew!

We were so hesitant to repair a cracked muffler but it was a necessity for a road trip we had to Arizona this weekend. We called several shops and decided to try Ray's due to the high reviews. Our biggest issue is the honestly and trust with mechanics and shops in the past overcharging and stating unnecessary work. SO GLAD WE WENT TO RAY'S!!!! Honest! Quoted us with full disclosure. Offered alternatives and suggestions. VERY decent labor charges. Fast, efficient...went the extra mile too! What more can be said. I believe we have found our hometown mechanic. THANK YOU!!! Now off we go.

I've mostly only taken my cars in for a routine oil change, but Ray's has always been fast and efficient. We did take our Honda in once for transmission issues and they gave us a good recommendation for a transmission shop. They've been kind, fast, and efficient for us so far.

You know how sometimes you just have that feeling that you can REALLY trust someone? I have to tell you, I got that feeling from Steve @ Ray's Muffler. Ray's was recommended by a local car dealership to do a 3rd party inspection for me. Not only did they provide a comprehensive job, they spent the time to walk me through each photo and explain their perspective. I don't live in UT, but if I did, Ray's would be my Go To shop!Thank you, Steve!

I called and got a verbal quote to switch out the catalyst convertor replaced over the phone. After the service was completed the price jumped up. I asked about it and they weren't able to explain why and adjusted it about half the increase. After I drove the vehicle the check engine light came back on for the same code we started with. I returned the vehicle to find out the O2 sensor was faulty so I paid for the repair only to have the light come back on for the same code. I returned the vehicle where they had it for a couple days. they said the computer needed to be re-programed and they did that at no charge (Which was nice). Then the light came on again. This would make the 4th trip back. When I called back they told me that they would probably have to put in a OEM Catalyst converter and that they are on backorder for several months.(I called the dealer and they had 6 in stock.) also they couldn't get me in for a week and half and couldn't commit on how long they needed the vehicle this time. I won't return here again!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

I drive from Kaysville to go to Rays in Bountiful . They are absolutely amazing people who are always super helpful and really care that you are getting the attention you need. They have always gotten the work done fast and efficient. They have gone above and beyond for me multiple times. I wish I could do more to show my appreciation for this company and the work they do!
