They were nice enough. I wasn't sure about what they were telling me so I called point S. Point S called them and reassured me that they were being fair and reasonable. I tried starting a vending machine business. I propositioned the owner to see if I could put it there. He told me to email him and he would let me know. He never emailed me back. Despite that I went there to fix another issue with my car. They really helped me work out a price. They don't do financing or monthly payments. That's unfortunate but normal.

I have serviced my vehicles at Lodder for over 5 years. I gain more trust and respect for the family business with each service. I ve had a persistent brake/rotor issue on one of my vehicles and John has a done a tremendous job in diagnosing the situation with care, warranting parts where possible, and treating the vehicle like it s theirs.Everyone I ve referred to Lodder has thanked me for finally working with a fairly-priced mechanic with unquestionable integrity.I used to work for local dealerships and would NEVER recommend anyone service their vehicle at a dealership service center. Lodder has saved their customers (myself included) untold thousands of dollars!10/10

I live out of town but I was buying a used Honda from a nearby dealership. Lodder was able to squeeze me in for an inspection at the end of the day. I talked to the owner who seemed like a genuine guy who was proud of their long and quality history. They pointed out a few things about my car to keep an eye on but gave me the green light to buy with confidence.It was a great experience from a good company!

I bought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, performance Ford North Salt Lake redwood road. yes as a used vehicle they said there is no issues whatsoever.. I paid $16,229.50 cash for the vehicle.I asked them to top off fluids they said check Carfax that was done 20 miles before it came to us. so two days later I had Lodder automotive check it and they found leaks in the oil pan gasket and transmission pan gasket and the dry shaft joints were going out needed to be replaced total of over $3,000 within two days of owning the vehicle.. I am very upset with performance Ford on redwood road North Salt Lake.Long story short , Lodders automotive fixed everything that the vehicle needed and were Extremely polite and understanding of my situation. Vehicles running like a top. They definitely have my future business with any automobile I own. 100%

Sean worked with my on some transmission problems with my Subaru. He kept me in the loop and explained everything in great detail to help me understand the issue. Very transparent with prices and what needed to be done. 10/10 would recommend and WILL be coming back.

Fairest auto shop you ll do business with nowadays. We came in with a suspected head gasket leak in our Subaru. John got us in quick, ran multiple tests, and luckily nothing was wrong. He charged us super fairly and was nothing but honest with us the whole time. I would recommend them 100/10 times to people.

I've had 5 different vehicles serviced here for the past 5 years and they've done a great job for me. If they couldn't do what I needed, they found someone/somewhere who could. It's family owned and it's obvious they take pride in what they do.10/5/2018 update: I had a check engine light come on after a repair they did for me. They had my vehicle all day checking it for the source and didn't charge me for anything. That's taking pride in what you do. Thanks.1/10/2022 They installed a lift kit for my 4Runner. I was a lot more comfortable with them doing it than the custom shops since they know me and know my vehicle. It's been flawless. So they do custom stuff as needed also. Thanks Lodder Family.

My wife never hesitates to take her vehicle here. They're always thorough, they never treat her like she doesn't know anything, and no matter how busy they are they're always polite and take time to explain things to her. I've never had the opportunity to use them myself but my wife is smart and knows what to watch for, so if she likes 'em then it's for good reason. Great job guys!

Asked neighbors in the Farmington Facebook group for a referral for a good mechanic. Lodder Automotive came up in the conversation. I checked them out and their reviews. I had just been recommended $2900 in repairs from Acura for a leaking axle seal and a leaking steering rack. They checked it out and reported only the axle seal needed replacing and recommended an alignment. The Steering rack was not leaking! My repair bill was under $500. I love an honest repair shop, and will have Lodder Automotive do all my auto repairs from now on! They just saved me $2400! Being a single Mom, every penny helps! A week later my other car had issues, the engine light came on, it was idling rough and jerking, and no acceleration. First time this ever happened to me! I was thinking the worst, worried it would be a huge repair! Took it in, and they said all I needed was a tune up, and replaced 2 spark plugs and a coil, and did one other thing I asked them to fix, again my bill was under $500. I'm sold on these guys and wont trust the Acura shop for repairs ever again! No wonder this place is always busy! Honest good work, fair prices. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Lodder Automotive. I was traveling across the country (from Connecticut) when my car broke down in Utah with engine issues, and Lodder Automotive was able to get everything back in working order, and very accommodating of me as I was from out of state, and I was able to drive my car back to Connecticut (September, 2022) and have had no problems since then! I highly recommend!Service: Engine repair

John Lodder and the guys at Lodders have worked on my vehicles since 1998. They have fixed everything from a transmission rebuild to oil changes. John is a great guy! He has always been honest and reliable. You can tell he loves what he does and he is an expert in car care and repairs. My vehicles get repaired on time and the prices are fair. I've never had problems with things they have fixed and I know that if there ever were a problem, they would resolve it.I continue to refer many friends and family to Lodders because they do great work and are great guys. love these guys! definitely honest honest honest and great everything! I've had others try to charge me three times more and didn't know what was going on, before diagnostic, but these guys will provide diagnostic and then provide honest feedback! Lifetime customer with them! Thank you! My husband and I absolutely hate having to deal with getting our cars fixed but Lodders made it so easy! They did a great job fixing my brakes and alternator on my Jeep. They are honest and well priced. I live in Utah County and it was worth the drive to Bountiful to receive such great treatment. I will be coming here for all my future car problemsService: Brakes

Extremely helpful and articulate when it came to giving options for the repair of my vehicle. Didn t try to upsell and made every effort to stay within my budget for the work needed to keep me on the road and safe.Will definitely continue to bring vehicles here for any required maintenance.

I have been going to Lodder Automotive for years and I have always been pleased with there service. On my last visit John went the extra mile with a brake issue we were having on my daughters Subaru. They are a company that makes sure their customers are happy at a fair price. I couldn't be happier with the service I have received.

I Bring All My Cars Here and have for Years. My Dad won't go anywhere else cause We know that We're Going to get Quality service done to the vehicle and at a Good Price too and for the most part It's Always done in a Timely manner! And Their Not gonna push You to get Work done to Your Car that's Not Needed,and if so find Any other issues They make sure to call You and explain the problem and get Your feed back before just going ahead and Doing the Work. Also to Mention It's a Family owned business That's been There For Many,many Years. Which I like cause Your not treated just as another customer,like most big corporate chains do and treat You as almost part of the Family"which is rare these days" That's probably why They have/get So Many Return Customer's... Would highly recommend It over other shops. And if Not sure call for a Quote, I almost guarantee They'll be the Better Price than somewhere else. One last thing-if You have a Noise or something Your not sure about. They'll even get in Your Car and Do a test drive to hear what Your hearing or have concerns about,and almost immediately can recognize what's going on or what the issue is. Now What other Shops or mechanics will do that for you? Not very many that I know of. Anyways Great Guys! Won't be let Down...

Was purchasing a car in Bountiful, got lucky and chose Lodderv Automotive, they were willing to fit me in to a busy schedule, did a very complete inspection plus great advice. It's nice when you are away from your home area to find a mechanic you feel you can trust. If I were closer they would be my mechanic of choice.

I was in the bountiful area for the weekend and had car trouble. A family friend recommended Lodder, and now I highly recommend them as well. They looked at our car for almost a week and couldn't get the car to act up for them and they couldn't find anything wrong. They refused to charge us anything for their services. They are top notch in my book !

I came here only once a couple of weeks ago and it was not a great experience. My battery would not hold a charge and would die every couple of days. I took my car into Lodder and they had my car for two weeks. I did not receive one phone call with updates or any type of information unless I was the one seeking them out, even when told I'd receive a call. Took 2 weeks to say it was my stereo draining my battery. However, when I went to go pick my car back up, my stereo was still attached and powered, and my car had to be jumpstarted just to get out of the parking lot, then they unfuzed my stereo as I was told that was the issue, before I left. Two days later, my battery was dead again. I went in and got a new battery at AutoZone and my car has not died again since. Now it's back at another auto shop and turns out the strero isnt even the issue for the draw. This whole experience was unsatisfactory. These guys may be busy but SOME communication would be nice, and quicker service. I wish this was a good experience, but unfortunately it just wasn't. It was a frustrating one instead.

I will continue to use Lodders for my car repairs. They do a fantastic job, & always try to squeeze me in when I call. They follow through with the quality of their work. I have a mechanics that I can trust. For me this means I will not go anywhere else.
