After a few problems with a previous mechanic, I searched to find one that was not only honest and reliable, but also respectful. I'm happy to say that I've found my new mechanic -- Family Auto Center. Just wanted to send a shout out to this impressive small business. This is a fantastic shop to get your vehicles repaired! They are reliable when scheduling appointments as well as quick to diagnose and fix your car's issue. They focus on resolving just the issue identified without trying to upsell you on unnecessary services. Highly recommended!

I was only in town for a day and having used them in the past, decided to try and have them look at an oil leak issue. Even though they were booked solid they worked me in, discovered major underlying issues caused by a company I had just used for an oil change not even a month ago, and gave me personal advice for what they would do next were they in my situation. I highly recommend Family Auto Center if you want quality work done with integrity at a fair price.

The best repair shop I've ever taken a vehicle to. The new manager Rudy is the best. Reed is an excellent mechanic. Extremely honest....almost to a fault. I don't trust many mechanics or repair shops. I trust Family Auto implicitly.

Love them. Honest and always try to do a great job. I've taken 3 cars to them and they've fixed everything every time. Took one car to another mechanic who said that I needed to replace a ball joint. Family Auto looked it over and confirmed it didn't need replacing. Will always use them.

I wish I could give more stars! I was traveling and was a few hours from home when my truck started making a bad noise, I pulled over but couldn t find any place that would take a look at it until I found these guys. Not only did they take a look even though they were busy they even fixed it! I couldn t be more grateful for their help and willingness to help me when no one else would. I was so worried I d be stranded but I was able to finish my trip safely because of these guys - I 1000% recommend coming here and wish I lived closer because I d make them my go to from here on out for sure! :)

I have been going to Family Auto for many years for repairs for my vehicles. The latest repairs, now and a few months ago, on my old van were very extensive and difficult. I am so grateful that they were willing to work on it and put in all that time. They are honest, reliable, dependable and care about pleasing the customer. I would give them 10 stars out of 5. They were very helpful in finding an issue with our car. A regular shop would ve said we need a new engine but they of course found a solution that didn t require the whole engine replaced which saved us so much money and grief. I couldn t say more good things about them and we will continue to go to them for all our car needs.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Family Auto Center is my absolute go-to. Their staff is full of honest, knowledgeable mechanics. I ve always received timely service and they have never tried to upsell me on anything unnecessary. Broke down while in town and needed the issue diagnosed. They took time out of their own lunch schedules, tightened things up, and even topped off my oil FOR FREE. Our RV broke down while on vacation in Utah. Rudy and the team at Family Auto got it back up and running within 24 hours! It was a holiday weekend and they don't normally service RVs, but they helped us get back on the road. Very grateful for their help and professionalism! In all reality this review could not express enough how well family Auto Center actually cares for their customers. David went out of his way to help me get in the car I wanted. I had a very complex situation.. this was not easy sell for him but he was very patient and accommodating for 3 weeks. He never made me feel like the previous dealerships I had went to days before. He was never pushy or rude once. He got the car I wanted from their other location and the deal They talked to me about. I 10 out of 10 recommend! If you are looking for a new car this is the place to go hands down!

Nolan, Rudy, Lee Reed and the other mechanics have always been honest and treated me fairly. They never try to sell you something you don't need and they do good work at a fair price. Excellent. Willing to travel from South Jordan to Bountiful because the mechanics are honest and totally straight forward in their work without any additional hidden costs. Had their auto shop service several of my vehicles in the past and have been satisfied with their mechanical work. I recommend them over any auto repair shop and don't take my word for it. I was really pleased with my first couple of interactions with them. But when my check engine light came on for the third time in less than a week and they were very condescending, talking to me like it was my fault for not knowing cars, it really left a sour taste. I won't be back now.

This is the place that all your family recommends when you ask for an honest, reasonably priced, friendly auto shop. I will always take my cars here for repairs. I live in the Salt Lake area and I will still take my cars all the way up to Family Auto to have them worked on.

I love Family Auto! Nolan and Lee are so kind and knowledgeable about mechanics. My Dad was a Mechanic and would have fit right in with these guys. Just to make sure you understand, these guys are not technicians they are true mechanics. They have diagnosed and fixed my car many times on the same day. Nolan has even given me a ride home on a few occasions. I trust their prices and honesty.

We've been taking our cars here since they opened around 30 years ago. Good, honest mechanics. The few times I've been forced to use another place, I call family Auto to make sure the price is fair. I cannot recommend them enough!

Rudy and Lee were awesome! My car started to smell really bad a few dats ago, and the Toyota dealer couldn't get me in for five days. So I drove into Family Auto Center. Although they were fully booked, Rudy came out to take a sniff, predicted that something dead was in the air filter compartment. A couple of minutes later, Lee and Rudy together found a dead mouse in the air filter compartment, removed it, sprayed deodorant, and replaced the air filter for me right then and there. When I asked how much I owed them, Rudy said, "oh, just bring us some cookies or something". I cannot thank them enough! We need more people like Rudy and Lee on this planet. Next time I have any problem with my car, I'm going directly to Family Auto Center, even though they are half an hour away from my house.
