With only 23 campsites divided between 2 loops, how can you not feel your blood pressure go down. Some sites are more secluded than others. I have a very short walk to the river in campsite 17. Close enough but not that close to attack the serious river bank bugs. Campsite is very spacious. For senior price of 7.50$, can't go wrong. There is some road noise but who cares. Bring your own water just in case. Or, maybe your a rockhounder!Restrooms: Vault roomsDog-friendliness: Pet parents have their dogs with them but everyone is under control.

Great camp spot on our way from CO to AZ. Clean, quiet, and well maintained. Great option for first come first serve camping. Picnic table, fire ring, and grate at each spot. We luckily did find a site that was perfectly wide to camp with our roof top tent.

An excellent camp ground. Toilets were clean, and stocked. Trash receptacles were emptied while we were there. Camp grounds fit all 25 of us easily. Right next to the water and within 30 minute drive of a number of great hikes. Can't wait to go back.

Awesome place to camp! It was pretty quiet except for truck noise from the highway at times. We had a spot right by the river (#7). The water was only about 4ft deep and there was a sandbar you could walk out to. We saw a lot of wildlife; wild horse, lizards, skunk. Watch out for the fire ants especially if you have a dog! $15 per night. Camped on a Thursday in May, not crowded, lots of sites to choose from. Helpful & nice rangers! Very clean latrine that smelled like vanilla. Drinking water available.

Great site by the muddy Colorado. Watch rafters organize and launch.Clean privies, water, and ancient petroglyphs. Highway is a good distance from the under 21 sites.

Great campsite near the banks of the San Juan River. Not totally developed but that's one of the things that makes it great. Quiet evening and the best part is you are close to one of the most underrated rock art panels in the Southwest. Close to Bluff.

Nice little first come first served campground with a petroglyph site. Sites are fairly large and spread out. Boondocking ONLY. No hookups of ANY kind. Come prepared with empty waste tanks and full water.

This primitive BLM campsite is hidden below from the highway. You can hear some traffic and at night, you can see headlights from Highway 191. It only sits about 1/10 of the mile away from the road. However, since it is down below, it's surprisingly a decent campground with lots of cottonwood trees. There is a petroglyph wall adjacent to the campground. Each site has a very nice metal picnic table and fire ring. There are several vaulted toilets and running potable water spigots available. This is a great spot for base camping to visit the nearby attractions. I rated this a 4-star because the AT&T data service (No 4G and sometimes E+ or H) was not sufficient or reliable for my needs to work from the RV. If you're looking to work remotely, this may not be the place to work from since you are below the main road, and line of sight to AT&T tower may be hindered.

It is just outside of Bluff and has recreation opportunities as far as the eye can see. It is next to the river, has petroglyphs, and clean facilities. Saw scorpions so wear good shoes around camp.

It seemed fine enough, plenty of camp sites with tables and fire pits. Had to stop to camp here because I wasn't going to make it to Flagstaff before sun set. I went during the first week of July and because it was near a river mosquitos were everywhere. Bring bug spray!

Maybe it's better in winter but during monsoon time (June-August), mosquitos will eat you. I've never seen so many of them in one place (except in Brazil once) and they seem to be fire-resistant. Even repellants showed little effect.

Great first come first serve campground along river and right next to ancient petroglyphs. Several sites were big and separated. Only downside is the highway close by with large trucks going by making noise at night.

We planned to camp before putting on the river the next day, but the heat here is oppressive in the summer. No surprise, but the mosquitoes were shocking. We ran to get a motel. Don't ignore the mosquitoe warnings.

Nice campground and put-in point for the San Juan River. Pit latrines, trash, recycle, and potable water are available. Also petroglyphs are viewable adjacent to campsites.

Water and toilets but no showers. Not sure why you would stay here since there are miles of outback camping around here but if you do need to it's just your average BLM campground. Really, this is the place local tour operators use to launch San Juan float trips.

This is a beautiful little Campground if you can get a spot. It was great along the San Juan River with plenty of trees just a little noisy with the highway bridge so close by

Beautiful campground among the cottonwoods along the San Juan river. Nice spaces and great ancient rock art on the cliffs nearby.

I think the mosquitos here have grown a massive resistance against any human efforts to fend them off. My theory is that they come from up north where the 60's nuclear test sites are.

This is a beautiful little campground in the San Juan River canyon. We've camped here a few times, and love it.

Quiet small area with petroglyphs and a river, what more do you need in the desert southwest?

Beautiful view and setup. Only thing lacking was running water and lights in the bathrooms. Would definitely stay again.
