During my recent stay at this hotel, I encountered a mix of experiences that shaped my overall impression. On a positive note, the lady at the front desk, who I assume was the owner, was remarkably kind and helpful. Her pleasant demeanor was a warm welcome and set a positive tone upon arrival. The room itself did not live up to the initial impression. The most significant issue was the heater, which was not only slow to activate but also extremely loud, disrupting my sleep throughout the night. The door allowed for plenty of cold air to come in as it did not have a good sill. The room also had a noticeable odor that was hard to ignore, and the hot water was lukewarm at best, which was far from ideal. While shampoo was provided, the absence of conditioner was a minor inconvenience that didn t go unnoticed. The lighting in the room was insufficient, making the overall ambiance less inviting.Another disappointment was the closure of the pool and hot tub during the winter months, despite them being enclosed. This was a missed opportunity for relaxation and enjoyment that I had looked forward to.Given these experiences, I find it difficult to recommend staying here. While the hospitality shown by the staff was commendable, the room's condition and the facilities' availability significantly impacted my stay.

Service here is horrible!!Make sure you leave right at 11am or else you LITERALLY get kicked out. The owners are rude as hell, man, if you asks for simple things.. it's a big deal. They have a big mouth and don't respect their customers..The lady there likes to yell at her customers, just so you know what to expect. And the guy makes you seem like you're an idiot. Highly recommend to not stay there. Maybe it's too much work for them to deal with customers. You can drive up a lil further to another little town and stay there. I'm sure they are more friendly there.

Positive aspects of our stay: very spacious rooms, friendly and helpful customer service, well maintained pool area (includes a hot tub), clean, and competitively priced. Things worth noting: this is a motel (not a 3 star hotel); as advertized there is no breakfast; the buildings and decor are dated;laundry is open from 9 am to 10 pm (which is limiting). However, this was a wonderful place to stay, and I left refreshed.

The staff are amazing, the rooms are giant, older but super clean. Like I dropped my wedding ring behind the toilet and..... It was spotless. Absolutely spotless. Kudos to the cleaning staff!Giant rooms, bigger then my last apartment I'm not joking. Our dog actually got a little overwhelmed and slept under the table the first night. The internet was fast, walking distance from Curry Pizza, from Diner Drive ins and Dives, and surprisingly comfortable beds. Marriott level comfortable beds and I'm not exaggeratingRooms: These rooms are GIANT. you could put 6 queens in this room is you wanted toNearby activities: Check out Curry Pizza, and 15 minutes from Capital Reef and Etta CiderSafety: We felt so safe, as a couple, as pet owners, even as a woman alone walking my dog, so safeNoteworthy details: Older, with a very retro feel!

My wife and I stayed here 1 night while on a road trip through southern Utah to take a break from camping but to be honest next time I m in Torrey I ll just camp. The Place appears to have not been updated since the 80 s rooms had an odor. Front desk worker wasn t friendly at all. I would recommend looking elsewhere or just camping if you re looking for a place to stay in this area.

Hotel room is fine but front staff was very rude and trying to nickel and dime for every single thing. The lady was trying to even convince us to spend another extra $150 for another room because their hotel can t fill up. Hotel was empty on a weekend for a reason - you re better off camping or staying at another hotel. They charged the card even though we told them we won t be staying with the new rate additions they were adding on. With business like that and staff like that - GOOOOOOD LUCK!

Poorly manage motel. Check in staff stole my money by refusing to allow me to have a room. I got a 2 bedroom for 4 people. When I got there they said it was $10 extra for every person staying there. They charge feeds for everything and when we told them we where going somewhere else. The manager (I think) told the worker HURRY charge them for the room@ they charge my card and didn t even gave me a key. They stole my money.

The rooms here are among the largest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The rooms are clean and the beds, sheets, and towels were clean as well. I checked in after hours so I did not talk to any of the staff but they provided good after hour service. Check out was easy as well. I booked this location because they're the only location with online booking in this town.

It was clean, quiet and affordable, a few miles away from the more crowded tourist spots, but the amenities were sparse. The manager was a nice lady. We didn't get to try the pool. Had to drive to Torrey to find an open convenience store after 9 p.m. (first week of May).Rooms: Furniture and bedding seemed old, shower had one shampoo dispenser and one liquid soap dispenser (same soap as the dispenser by the sink).Food & drinks: No breakfast

The owner is really nice. Good place for dogs. Small dog area on the other side of the pool. It has a light for nighttime.Rooms are large but very old furnishings. Doable for us, but most might not like it.

I was disappointed the dog fees were $30 a dog. The internet and the book inside my room both said $15. There weren't any other choices nearby so we had no choice but to pay. We had two dogs and this was the most we had ever had to pay. On the upside the room was extremely large, the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet. They also had a laundry room, which made us very happy!Food & drinks: There was a nice pizza shop in driving distance. But other than that, there aren't any food choices.

My boyfriend and I stayed overnight Wednesday, September 14, 2022 with a reservation. We had Room 2, a northeast building ground floor room. The room was large, and the carpet was perfect. The top was a tightly woven surface, like some institutional carpeting, but it had cushion as if plush carpeting. It actually sank a little when stepped on like plush carpeting. There was a fridge.A quirk of the room was that it was square with a small room at each corner, the east/right room having the shower, tub, and toilet and the left/west room the sink and counter. In other words, the bathroom was divided between two rooms. We thought it odd but got used to it quickly.I also liked there was a table with two chairs and that the chairs had upholstered seats (instead of hard plastic or wood seats). The northeast building was set back from the road and partly behind another building. The value for the price was very good. We liked it so much we d overlook motels east in larger Torrey, Utah closer to Capitol Reef National park. On our road trip, this was one of 7 motels we stayed at and my first or second favorite. We d return.

Room was cheap, large, and clean. Hot tub was wonderful on a cold, rainy night after several days of hiking. Good food available at several restaurants nearby.Only complaint that I had was that most of the outlets in the room didn't work with my phone charger.Very good value compared to other hotels near Capital Reef.

Booked here for two nights, but only ended up staying one. Quite the odor when I walked into the hallway to my room. The room wasn't exactly what I could call clean. Sure there wasn't visible dirt, but the carpet was older and more stained than a church window. There were also a lot of flies. At least 10 by my count. They kept landing on me and being annoying so I had to hunt flies before being able to sleep. The bed was loud and very uncomfortable, it sagged so much in the middle. There apparently weren't any regular rooms left available, so my SO and I were given a suite above the office. It had a stove, but not a single utensil for cooking or eating. Seems like a huge waste. Unfortunately all the furniture has seen better days. I would recommend sleeping in your car on the side over staying here.

Room was dirty and unpleasant. We had to kill at least 10 flies before we could settle in. And that wasn't even all of them! The toilet wouldn't flush and all of the drains (kitchen, bathroom sink, shower) seemed semi-clogged.We paid for 2 nights but left after the first as we couldn't bare to spend two nights here.Bed was uncomfortable and loud. Flies kept me up most of the night. At $115 a night this place was egregiously overpriced.

Great value! This has to be one of the nicer motels I ve stayed at. It was a bit outdated but had a large room and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The staff were really friendly. We had a car emergency that brought us to this little town and they were able to accommodate us last minute and left the key for us so we could get quickly to our room. After check out, we were still waiting on a tow and the manager William was really great. They let us sit out by the pool area while we waited. A 5 minute walk in one direction is Curry Pizza and the other way is a new hip coffee shop called The Sweetgrass. This place got the job done and that s why it s a 5 star rating.

Very nice, clean room. Even though I still feel it was overpriced at $105, it was still much less than other local hotels charging very high prices. With prices much more than pre-pandemic, I think only wealthier people will be able to travel and vacation. My only complaint was the hotel does not keep change for their soda or laundry machines? I was told by the office I'd have to go across town to get quarters at the gas station. How difficult is it for management to keep a couple rolls of quarters for guests? Such a simple thing to make their guests stay a much better experience.

Clean and very large room. Bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we ve had in a while. Has indoor pool and hot tub, we didn t use but saw several others there. No frills, privately owned place, we d definitely stay there again.

This hotel has large rooms, is very clean and well cared for and has a nice pool, so overall we really enjoyed ourselves. That being said, you will want to know that it is an older hotel, and because of that there are a few quirks. It looks a bit dated and it smelled a bit musty when we first came in. Opening the window quickly cleared it out. The plumbing is very noisy. We could hear our neighbor's showers and toilet flushes very well. If you are a light sleeper who goes to bed early, this could cause a problem. The older floors also make it very easy to hear every step taken above you if you are on the ground floor. Also, I'm not sure why, but the shower head is pretty low, so that could cause a problem if you're tall and want to wash your hair, lol! Really, these things are pretty small issues that did not bother us at all, but are good to know in advance. The staff was very polite and accommodating and we had a pleasant stay. Also, I loved the VCR/DVD combo machine that took me back in time to the 90's. It made me chuckle.

The room was better than expected. It was clean, well maintained and spacious. We stayed in the single story units on the east side of the property. The room had a newer tv, microwave and refrigerator - thus, all worked well. We also appreciated the use of the covered pool and hot tub. The only downside was these units had dirt parking spaces in front.
