I love this place. Everyone is so nice and they do a really thorough job. I didn't get any work done here yet, but they did more than I expected when checking my car over for the issues it has. Their quotes aren't a bad price either. I will most likely be coming back for my tie rod They also include pictures when diagnosing, and the online explanations are so awesome. I've never seen that before!!

Recently, I brought my Jeep Wrangler in for repair after it wouldn t start. The techs at Golden Rule quickly diagnosed a faulty fuel pump. They took the time to address other needed repairs and services and provided to me a clear concise list. I chose to fix the fuel pump and have a few service issues completed too. They did not pressure me to fix anything else on the list.The Jeep is now running like new.From quality mechanics to outstanding service writers, everyone at Golden Rule lives up to the company name.

Excellent service and explaining everything. My car was having intermittent electrical issues and they tested it multiple times over multiple days but unfortunately were unable to reproduce the issue. They waived all the diagnostic fees even though multiple people looked at it several times taking their time away from other repairs. I really appreciated their honesty and timeliness to not just make up a repair that may not have addressed my main concern. I ll be going to them with all of my vehicles for life now.

Just updating my previous review. I have been very pleased with the work performed by Golden Rule Auto Care the last couple of trips I've had to make there! Their customer service is second to none that I've seen and prices are reasonable. Work pays for maintenance service on my vehicle, but anything else I have and my wife's vehicle will go here as long as I can help it. Thanks guys!

In the hunt for a reliable and trustworthy autoshop, this gem was found. Took my 94 Corolla here for a lot of work and made it feel like a brand new car. Communicative and upfront with details, great website view of all the changes and recommendations, and overall great experience. Fair with pricing as well. Will be taking my cars here for a long time.

This shop is my favorite and it's conveniently located near our home. Everyone at this location has been just awesome and very personable. Graham, Johnny especially have been extraordinary. Not to mention fun to talk to.

Golden Rule stands true to its name . Let's face it, nobody likes to pay to have their car fixed but there isn't another car shop in DFW I'd rather do business with. Golden Rule is reasonably priced and always makes you feel welcomed. They are extremely friendly and always do superior work!

The Golden Rule team are an awesome group of people. Graham and Johnny were great, they had the team diagnose an issue with my wife s car. They were honest and didn t try to upsell me on any other issues. Definitely going to be returning.

I normally do all the maintenance on our vehicles myself but can't do that right now due to wrist surgery, so took my wife's 2015 Honda Accord in to Golden Rule.Their shop rate of $153.89/hour as of November 2023 is a bit high but I understand inflationary pressures are affect everyone, nor are the hours quoted super inflated. The issue is the predatory markup on parts. Every shop marks up the price of parts and I get that. The issue is how much they mark them up.Using the EXACT same part numbers they did from either Rock Auto or Auto Zone, here are some of the most egregious examples:Front strut assembly (Monroe PN : 172971)Golden Rule's price: $393.39 x2Rock Auto: $112.89 x2Markup: 248%Sway bar links: (Moog PN: K750650)Golden Rule's price: $143.82 x2Rock Auto: $17.09 x2Markup: 735%Rear strut assembly (Monroe PN : 172984)Golden Rule's price: $250.88 x2Rock Auto: $73.99 x2Markup: 239%Again, I get that there's a bit of a parts markup everywhere but all in all I was quoted total of $2545.57. I could buy the exact same parts all day long for around $850There was also an unrequested line item for fuel injector cleaner ($91.79 for the part, a can of Berryman B12 fuel system cleaner is under $5) and a $92.33 labor charge to dump it into the gas tank.I really hope anyone bringing a car here checks the quoted price on parts and looks up the part numbers.The guys running the shop seem really pleasant so it was really disappointing when it became clear that they just take advantage of people who don't know any better. When I nicely told the guy at the counter that the reason I'm declining everything was the crazy markup on parts he just smiled, said "We're the best" and gave me a thumbs up. Cool, thanks.I'll either go somewhere else or wait until my wrist heals and just do it myself.

I took my car here on 11/08/2022 and they replaced my valve cover gasket. This cost me $731 of a bill that was just over $1,500. They also had two fees for a Engine Diagnostic test and Electrical Circuit Diagnostic test that totaled $280 and a $72.13 Shop Fee they tacked on to the end of my bill. 9 months later on 08/14/2023 I took my car to a shop that doesn t nickel and dime the customer and they found that I needed my valve cover gasket replaced again!! Replaced gaskets should last anywhere between 7-10 years and what ever work Golden Rule did only lasted 9 months! Now I worry that the other work done on my car by Golden Rule is just going to have to be redone. Only bring your vehicle here if you like high prices, excess fees, and sucky work.Service: General repairs & maintenance

OMG! They deserve five stars to infinity. I know it s a competitive business out there. But I m telling you it s well worth paying extra. Because these guys not only that they see you as a human being. But money is not the first thing on their mind. Your safety is. And you don t feel pressured. They don t make you feel incompetent because you have an opinion about something you probably don t know much about. they listen as you are the only customer in their busy schedule. These are a good group of guys. The mannerism is not just one or two. It s equal throughout the shop. Even the ones that you don t talk to. The vibes that they send off is very welcoming as well. Thank you special hats and thank you. Off to Jeffrey and Graham. I don t have my cards in front of me if I butchered your name I apologize.

May seem that I am piling on here, with a 4.8 star rating, but now I see why. I had a 1st time visit in maybe 7 years to this shop, and boy what a great honest resource for auto repair. In my case, they diagnosed a loud squeaking noise as a failing drivetrain on my 2020 Ford Ranger. Fortunately it is covered under a Ford warranty. I am so glad I started a relationship up with this auto shop!

Excellent place to bring your car for oil changes and mechanical problems! The staff is kind and friendly. They are honest about the work needing done on your car and are supper helpful with questions for people who may not know anything about cars. In addition, they have a really nice spacious lobby where you can comfortably wait. Golden Rule is my most trusted auto shop, I take my car here every time. Take your car here! Highly recommend!

Graham and Johnny are 2 of the most likeable and knowledgeable, good old country boyz. I've been bringing them my vehicles for the past 2 years and have not been disappointed. As the cost of maintaining vehicles is on the rise, I have seen a few ex-dealership patrons come into the shop and rebel against the over charging and up charging tactics of those big dealerships. Prices are fair and their local.
