These people are great. I wish I found them sooner! I have had a lot of problems with repair shops in Lubbock, but this place has taken very good care of me at very reasonable price!

Best mechanic in town. Does very good work for a very fair price. I'm far as I'm concerned this is the only guy I'll take any of my vehicles to.

I had my check engine light come on so I took my vehicle here. Sunset automotive said I needed my knock sensors replaced and charged over $600 to do so. After they replaced it and told me it was fixed, the same check engine light codes came on after driving it less than a mile. I took it back and they said the internal thermometer needed replacing and charged over $200 to do that but my check engine light was still on. They said they couldnt figure out what was wrong and couldnt help me anymore. So after spending $800+ and fixing nothing, I took my vehicle to a different mechanic. He said there was a pin that wasn't hooked in for my knock sensors and that was the reason for the check engine light. The mechanic said it was a simple fix and was surprised Sunset automotive not only couldn't figure out the error but also incorrectly diagnosed the problem and charged me over $800 for it.

Simply put, I had issues with my van. I had it repaired at Sunset automotive. The candor and forthright performance of Artie and his team is beyond reproach. That will have my business going forward. There is no second choice for me

Had my son s Mustang at another shop for over 3 weeks. They finally said it needed a new computer i said no thanks and went and picked it up. The day of our appt Sunset told me it was a cracked spark plug. They fixed it in 1 day! We will be back.

Called in to see if they can repair a tire since I didn t see a puncture. The wonderful lady that took my call gave me the brilliant idea to just drop off the tire, since their hours are my hours of work.Already on first contact: They problem solved.Came in during my lunch and while they looked at the tire, performed an oil change.Issue with my flat: cracked wheel allowed air to leak.Solution: they do not sell wheels, but the same problem solver introduced me to a site she used in the past for wheel replacements. Wow. What a great business here with wonderful people.I came in a few days later and I walked through the door and the same problem solver asked me upon walking in, you re here with the wheel replacement? Geez.Good, good people. Honest work. Great prices. Couldn t be happier with the services here.Service: Oil change

Very friendly staff and excellent automotive services. The pricing is fair and they are the quickest automotive shop that I ve ever been to! I started going here whenever I first moved in Lubbock area and I ve never gone anywhere else. Even when a minor mistake was made with my vehicle, the owner of the establishment called me personally to remedy the issue. I know this may seem silly, but as a female going into an automotive shop, they never made me feel less than or talked to me like I didn t understand anything. Love this place and will continue to go back.

Very un attentive service, the workers enthusiasm and desire to work is dry. They had a bad attitude. Also the fact I drove from Lubbock just to be serviced by them because I thought they would give me a better job than take 5 I should ve just went there. I highly recommend Artie and his team! They are fast and straight to the point with any repair. I have had nothing but positive experiences anytime my husband or I have stopped in. I wont go anywhere else!

Moved to the area and got a vehicle inspection done here for $7. The inspection took faster than expected and when I needed to take the tint off my passenger and driver windows to pass the inspection, they took it for me for $20. They were extremely quick about removing the tint off as well.

They always charge way to much for any service I've needed done or my friends needed done we paid 800+ . Also the vehicles were never fixed and ended up having problems again. I'm sketched out by this places high pricing and track record on my vehicles.

This is a really great auto shop all around. Everyone they have there is down to earth and easy to work with. They've worked on both of my vehicles and I would recommend them to anyone. Prices are reasonable and they don't always charge for every test or diagnosis they do. They also do what they can to save you money if they know about sales on parts or other specials. I got a pretty good deal on some new tires thanks to Artie.

Artie is the best! Most honest businessmen I've ever met, not just speaking about mechanics. He will only fix what's broken and he will save you as much money as he can. I highly recommend Sunset Automotive for any auto issues you may have.

Operations Manager communicated proficiently, clerical was knowledgeable, and their team achieved a quick turnaround time. OpMgr was economically aware.Customer asset security is low and needs improving to afford peace of mind. The customer lobby is spacious and provides narrow chairs for non-corpulent customers. The nearest food establishment is within walking distance (no sidewalk) but crosses under a major roadway. No in-house shuttle service is provided as well as fleet car (rental).

I needed an inspection done on my alternate vehicle. I was unaware one of my tail lights was not working. Instead of doing a detail workup costing lost of money the mechanic simply put in a new bulb and charged me under a dollar!! Then I got my inspection done. I always trust Sunset Auto to not over charge me, nor any other customer, and to also not say work is needed when it isn't. You won't find a better place to get your vehicle worked on or simply go for a quick oil change or inspection.

I usually always go here to get my oil changed, or get inspection sticker done.. Artie & Debra & Christy are always very sweet & friendly when I'm there, & course I'll always get our ( my parents & mine ) vehicles looked @ and or fixed here!

I've been using Artie and his team for over 5 years now, they are always very reasonable with their pricing and extremely honest and reliable. Most repairs that I've sent in can be accomplished in a few days and he has never missed a promised deadline.

Had a rear diff go out on me and was a student at Tech so didn't really have much to spend. It cost about $3000 to repair one but without asking Art found an used one that was in great condition and only cost me $1000 to repair. That w is s back in 2007 and I've been going here since. Never been disappointed.

The best place I know to get an oil change. They have the friendliest and sweetest staff and they are very fair on pricing! I have NEVER felt like they try to take advantage and upsell me things. If I ever need actual automotive repair, they will be my first pick!
