Our son is a senior in high school and recently completed the homeschool basic level welding certificate. It was a great experience for so many reasons! As a college & career readiness specialist, i am thrilled to see hands-on trade opportunities for homeschoolers. I wish more trades offered homeschool classes like A-1 Welding for youth. Ms. Shonda and Ray are a positive, godly and wonderful team. They will train and support your child with great care. My son left with more confidence for his future and is excited to return in the spring for another course. Our family is so grateful for A-1 Welding & their homeschool welding program!

Our son came from out of state to take a beginning welding class here!! He very much enjoyed what he learned and would like to take more classes! As a mother, I was impressed by the communication. They would post a picture of your child in welding helmet online and praise them etc Later that evening, I received pictures and comments about my child from that day. He was there for 3 days in a row and this happened every day. I felt in the loop and that he was very well taken care of.

We signed my son up for a welding class not knowing what to expect. We were genuinely impressed with Ray as a teacher. He explains things very well so teens easily put his instructions to action. He is a natural at demonstrating, explaining, and stepping back to observe and help the student learn. We took every class they offered and each was set up well. Each class had plenty of time to cover the material but not too much time that it felt stretched. Shonda was excellent with scheduling and letting us know ahead of time any supplies we needed before each class.

I needed a custom fire pit cover and found this place on Facebook. Wonderful customer service working with me to design exactly what I wanted. Reasonably priced and was completed very fast! Would totally recommend to anyone who needs something custom welded!

I needed a very small (you can hold it in one hand) fabrication/welding job done and saw A-1 Welding's listing via Google maps. I should have called or emailed first, but I took a chance on dropping by, and it worked out that he could take care of my project right then while I waited. And he did, and the price was very reasonable, and the work is great!

Very impressed with A-1 Welding! I sent a message about a small welding job for our horse trailer and received a response within hours. I received an estimate (based on pictures), dropped off the project, and picked it back up all within several days. Couldn t be happier with the welding job and customer service. Great people that deserve your business!

Very friendly and informative before my son started his course and the basic welding class was spot on. He really enjoyed learning the basics of the welding trade and is planning on returning for more classes in a few weeks.

I'm so amazed and happy that we found this amazing company! My son took his first welding class with them, and he loved every minute. We were so happy to see him flourish there. He learned a lot and wants to take another class soon. The time and care the instructor takes is impressive, and we are so grateful for discovering this gem!

My son took a welding class at A1 Welding. His instructor was knowledgeable and ran on time (much appreciated since we drove very far for these!) There was a nice shady spot to wait, and an available restroom if needed. Not many people are invested in teaching the next generation things like trades; we are grateful to have discovered A1 Welding!

A-1 and Mr. Ray are great people.and teachers, they show the kids the basics and advanced fundamentals of welding. My boys really enjoyed the experience and I enjoyed the pictures of their learning along the way. Will definitely send back for refresher courses.

A1 Welding has such an awesome heart for the homeschool community. And Shonda really keeps in great communication. I've been able to get in touch with them fairly quickly... Via phone and online connection. They really do offer the best trade classes around! Grateful I met them.

I wanted a place for my dogs to be safe INSIDE my home so I had a bench seat built into the great room. Unfortunately, the doors with wooden dowels were just too flimsy and broke easily. I called A1 Welding and they came out, reviewed the layout and gave me a price that was AWESOME! They finished the work onsite, ensuring that everything worked properly. Very professional! They even cleaned up after themselves!! Highly recommend.

Just awesome welding school for homeschoolers!!! My son has learned so much!!! The school has been such a blessing!!! They only teach 2 students at a time , and its hands on! I highly recommend, its been such a great opportunity for my son to learn a skill!!

I have brought several design ideas to Ray and he has never failed to not only understand what I wanted, but also to improve on the design concept and offer insightful suggestions on construction and materials. He delivers quality work on time and at a reasonable price. I will continue to use A-1 Welding for all of my project needs.

My 13 yr old daughter took welding classes with Ray and thoroughly enjoyed them. Ray is patient and calm giving the kids the chance to really explore their skills in a safe environment. The workshop is clean, neat and well equipped. This is a fantastic family run business that I highly recommend to anyone looking to have welding work done or who s kids are interested in learning the craft.

Ray and Shonda offer a safe, fun, thorough learning experience for those wanting to learn the art of welding. Their communication is timely and thorough. Every week, I get a confirmation from Shonda a day before my son s class. Additionally, every week, Shonda sends photos of my son in action during his lesson. They offer a top-notch business! Their facility is neat and clean and lessons always start and end on time.

We bought the 30'' round 15'' deep pit from A-I. They are great folks doing very high quality work. The pit work from design to fabrication is extremely well executed. The fit and finish was great. Our pit is very heavy duty. It was one of the keys to a great Memorial Day weekend outdoors. We threw in some pecan, burned it down to coals and cooked everything from hotdogs to Fajitas, to Ribeyes. All of it was outstanding.I would not hesitate to buy from them again. I already have my in-laws wanting to get one. It is a bit of a drive from my house, but was definitely well worth it.

This family owned business is first class!Very responsive, professional and the quality of their work is amazing. Very happy with the customer service and our outdoor grill! They can fix anything! Not sure? Give them a call I m sure they are up for the challenge!

We had an issue with our pontoon boat, and they got us in within a day, did the repairs the next day. It s been 6 months and the weld is holding up great!Shonda was great to work with.

We couldn't be happier with our fire pit cover. It was a 6th anniversary gift for my husband since 6 is the iron anniversary. Everyone who sees it loves it! Thank you for helping me design it as well as bring my gift idea to life. Their customer service is AMAZING!

Excellent experience. Saw me on a weekend, I left two aluminum chairs that were repaired better than original. Work was promised Monday or Tuesday, I received a call that they were completed Monday afternoon. If anyone were to ever ask, I now have a welding service!

A-1 Welding helped up with a welding project for our travel trailer. Even had to do a little customizing on our project once we got started. They went out of their way to help us and am thrilled with their work. Would recommend them to my family and friends. We will definitely be calling them again when need arises!

Had Ray build a 30" fire pit for us with a few changes, he did a great job at a reasonable price. We've used it a couple of times and really enjoy it, next time we need something he will be our go-to. Highly recommended---and great people!

I had a need for a welder for a small job on my 5th Wheel RV travel trailer. Both Shonda and Ray were GrEaT to work with. Ray is definitely detail oriented which I liked. I d used them again and have already shared there name twice since last week.

Top notch customer service, they handle their business well. The outstanding quality of work performed obviously reflects knowledge and experience. A-1 is my "Go To" for aluminum welding on our pontoon boat.
