I wish I could rate each part of the college individually!Be sure you are the type of person that will stay on top of things! Administration is not very forthcoming on what you will and will not require. We learned we needed a parking pass and student id only after getting a ticket.Division secretary Michelle Smith in vocational science, she was a gem! She was so helpful getting us registered and everything!My son is there for welding and as of yet I have zero complaints regarding this department. They seem to truly care about the students, their safety, their learning, and that they enjoy themselves.There is a gentleman in the security office who is the absolute sweetest person and is so helpful. He told us to file an appeal about our parking ticket, and he probably wrote us the ticket.

Would give a negative amount of stars if possible. This school's denist program is full of racists. Ride the minorities hard while letting the whites off. Not due to lack of effort for precision, just out of straight ignorance and racism motivating their decisions. From the teachers to the Dean of the school, completely horrible people who should be locked up for scamming at the very least. 1st year out of a 2 year class they fail pretty much anyone that isn't white so they can get at least 3 years of pay out of them instead of 2. Complete garbage of a place, staff and Dean that is using it to indulge in their ignorance and greed.

The staff is so nice and accommodating. Thanks for guiding my son through the registration process. We went to many different departments and EVERYONE met us with a smile and a kind word. I highly recommend this Junior College. They go above and beyond!!

This college just wants to take your money away. The professor Kayla Drabek is heartless and is so controlling that while on maternity leave, she still insisted on grading finals while caring for her newborn. Towards the end of the spring program 3 professors out of 4 were gone and there was no proper guidance. So many people got kicked out of the program. It went from 80 to 20!!! Beware of this college and go to lone star or hcc instead of you want to get somewhere. They feed you hopes full of lies. And then you end up with debt and no degree. Your whole family future down the drain.

Avoid dealing with Emily Voulgaris concerning transcripts. She leaves early, does not respond to emails until deadlines she set have passed and passes the buck instead of helping process students. I am unimpressed with her work ethic and level of consideration and impressed with her ability to somehow retain employment.

Wharton County Junior College is a fantastic alternative to attending state college right out of high school. I was able to pay my way through WCJC without student loans, and the professors were all knowledgeable and professional. I'm grateful for my start at WCJC.

I was sent back and forth from one window to another with different answers, when I wanted to know why all my classes had been dropped. All along I had been thinking that I had financial aid, and a small balance that could be paid before school started. Admissions, financial aid, payment office just aren't on the same page. Admissions first told me that I accidently logged on and dropped the classes myself, then they told me because of the balance I had which was 179 dollars that wasnt paid was the reason I was dropped. Finally went over to financial aid to come to find out that I'm on financial aid suspension. I was suspended for dropping my summer session(2) 2 classes that I paid for out of my OWN pocket! Nor are you notified!! With drop date being today August 17 I still to to this day have not received a letter/EMAIL saying that Im on financial aid suspension. The issue is that a letter was not sent nor email notifying me to haul behind and set up a payment plan! The financial aid office told me that I'm responsible to check online of status when online I was still being awarded money it had not been updated that I was suspended. I had registerd for Fall17 classes did my financial aid early and had been awarded. I wake up this morning and everything has been dropped! As soon as registration opened again the class that I really wanted is full now so Im patiently waiting for someone to DROP! Kindly spoke to the financial aid supervisor the answer to my question was under staffed is the reason a letter or email was not sent to me, and also that he was retiring soon one reason being of how under staffed wcjc is.

Great place to learn a trade and grow in your educational experience. Masks not required now. Very knowledgeable teachers and staff. Beautiful campus.

Bunch of crooks. There are better institutions I can assure you. Business office sucks and add fees after you have paid for classes.

Love this place...it's great how the employees actually care about the students and us homeless people who just stop by to cool off and charge a phone...wish more people were like this...faith in humanity restored
