I have been going to this location for about 20 + years. I went to get my oil changed yesterday and I noticed they had taken the prices down for oil change, but I didn't think anything of it. When I got ready to check out my total was $105. I get synthetic and pay about $80/$85 normally. When I asked about it, the man told me the new owners hiked up the prices a lot. Their prices are way too high. I sent my brother to Valvoline down the street the same day and he paid $84, which is around the amount I normally pay. It's said to see a business price gauging like this. I will not be returning.

It seems things have changed here. We use our dealership for our oil changes and always get our inspections done here. My wife took new Bronco for first ever inspection and they told her she needed an expensive oil change and flush (we stick to the recommended OEM replacement schedule). Why the hell were they checking the oil for a state inspection????!!!!!! And how could oil be dirty on a new truck that has its oil replaced regularly?????Shame to see a place go downhill like this. Will not be using again.

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS. They did the $148 oil change and my car didn't make it 10 miles before the skid plate was dragging. I called the manager at Kwik Kar which I though would be an easy discussion. Nope - They denied any responsibility! Now I question what they did regarding the oil change. There are too many legitimate, responsible businesses around to risk your car with these guys.

This place sucks. They tried to charge me $15 to remove the skid plate on the bottom of my truck to change the oil. In the 15 or so times I've had my oil changed, no one has ever charged me for this. I will never go here again. I recommend Pep boys at 1580 west main St in League City. They're super honest, helpful, and will include a tire rotation with every oil change for free.

Never again! Tried to sell me things I did not need .Told me my oil was very dirty . And very low . It was not low ! Or that dirty over, exaggerated! Offered discount on an oil flush .. The autos these days have sensors So they smarter than the new managers.I declined everything!!!! Went down the street ! They said none of these issues existed. Prices jacked up

Usually only come here for inspections and the process is pretty smooth. Attempted an oil change with inspection on wife's car and they wanted to put the highest priced oil and added charge for skid plate drop. At least they asked me first. Oil change prices are not posted. So make your own choice when picking a place to go. Also gets a free car wash with oil change.

Great customer service. They explained in detail why some parts had to be replaced when completing the vehicle inspection. I appreciate it.

I went to rotate my spare tire to the back and they told me "we can't do it cuz it's too dangerous". They are a bunch of lazy people.Two blocks forward in another store did it with no problem.

charged me for a skid plate removal, but the truck doesn't have a skid plate. And tail lights were out but passed inspection.

Always used this place for a quick oil change and inspection, but will take my business elsewhere. Not sure what changed at this location, but this is now a typical shop that will take advantage of a woman in a heart beat. My wife dropped her vehicle off here today and asked for an oil change and nothing else. She was told that she would receive a call before anything else was done and when they were finished. Before leaving they pulled her cabin air filter even with out request and she was told it was clean. Upon returning to get her vehicle she was charged to change the cabin air filter as well as the engine air filter. When I went in to discuss with the manager he told me she agreed to changing the filters, however this is not true and we simply wanted an oil change like we had done many times before. Will not be returning and will be looking for a trustworthy mechanic moving forward.Service: Oil change

These guys arnt no babies!They can change the oil on anything!It makes one wonder why they can change my oil here but the same place on S. Friendswood dr dint want to bother with it and stated they know it's a hassle but they refer Jeep owners back to the dealerships.Really, Why!The time it took me to write this review these guys changed the oil, took my payment, vacuumed my truck and I'm on my way.Way to practice Great customer Service!Thank you!Please remember to hit the like button if my review helped you in anyway.

There are to many other shops that provide the same service in the area to waste your time here. Went in for a quick inspection and asked if it would take long because I had an appointment. I watched the guys shuffle around, stop and talk with each other, get in and out of my truck at least 10 times and after all that there were still minor issues I had to solve on my own. Nobody rude or anything like that, I just have had much better service at other places. Chose where you spend your money wisely and hopefully this helps with that discussion.

Wow!! I drive a Tesla and this place gave me the best oil change EVER!! It was super cheap and it only took about 15 minutes. I was in and out. The place really lives up to its name. If you can, request SAM as your technician. He s very talented and will get you taken care of.

I was quoted over $2k at my previous auto shop and they were able to quote me a quarter of that cost! Saving this much money was awesome, then my second car decided to die while my first was in their shop. They ended up taking both my cars and I still only paid a little over $1k. Plus had a driving vehicle within 24hours so I wasn t without (I drive for work). On top of that, their shop is so clean, they mop right after every vehicle and you get a free car wash next door after your tune up! They truly care about their service they are providing. Great job!

Been going here for years. New used car I brought in for oil change months ago. Convinced me to do an additional $125 service I agreed needed to be done. Got home no wiper fluid filled (was out ) , noticed no vacuuming. Should have recommended both cabin and engine filter ( both basically black and filler with debris). Then noticed I should have gotten wipers or recommended. I was upset because I not only requested these services and came in just for that oil change package , but I left spending way more than planned and with a check list of services and inspections that obviously were never even performed. Highly disappointed and on the fence about returning. What sucks is I loved this location so much for years I d drive all the way out just to get my routine maintenance done for years.

These guys are smart and honest. Have dealt with them for the past two years. Recently went by and assumed I needed an oil change and other fluids replaced. Instead the guy said, "No, sir. You're okay. No need to change anything." That was great. I got an honest assessment and saved money. Other customers have confirmed my feeling about the place. Highly recommend them. 10-10-17 Update - once again these guys came through in the clutch. They treat you like family. No BS like you see at so many shops. Will be restoring an old classic soon, and these guys will get the business. Manager Chris is a stand-up guy. Highly recommend them

I would not bring any of my cars to this place at any costs. They will waste your time and your money. Very unprofessional and always never on time. Please take your business some place else. They will fix something you didn t tell to do because they thought it needed to be replaced with no results whatsoever. They will rip you off. Unsanitary inside. Their lobby smells like dogs that haven t taken a shower for years. Always have different mechanics working on your car. Please take my advice and find a better mechanic shop to go and give them your money instead, maybe you ll actually get your car fix.Services: Transmission, Tires

Had an oil change done then off to their car wash. Had an issue with low hanging plastic under the car and the car wash equipment. Went back to the shop and the assistant manager, I don t want to butcher his name, but he was very understanding and was willing to repair the snapped off bit of underpinning right away. Thanks guys!

I came into the shop today needing an oil change and my air conditioner wasn t blowing cold. Eric got me serviced in less than 30 minutes and was so good about explaining what was wrong! I was afraid it was going to break the bank but it was affordable and fast! I can't speak highly enough of the people running this Kwik Kar. Everyone is enthusiastic and polite. In addition to oil changes (that come with a free car wash), they also perform most car repairs and allow you to provide your own parts. I always get the sense they are dealing with me honestly and in good faith, and for that reason I go out of my way to give them my business. Highly recommend!

I had my oil changed at this location a couple of weeks ago. I sent noticed an oil stain on my driveway. I called Kwik Kar Lube back and express my concern, and they had me come in; they corrected the issue immediately with no additional charge to me. I'm very pleased with their service.

My wife took our vehicle to this Kwik Kar location to get a state inspection. The tech told her the car battery died during the inspection process and, as a result, the sensors in the car had reset causing four of them to trigger not ready readings, so the vehicle inspection couldn t be completed. The tech then told her she needed a new battery and tried to sell her one. She declined the new battery, knowing the battery in the vehicle was only about 6-months old, and the tech said he would jump the car so it could start . The tech told her to go ahead and get a new battery, drive the car 50-60 miles so the sensors would reset, then come back to complete the inspection. She paid the cost of inspection and was told when she returned the re-inspection would not cost anything.That night, I tested the battery. It showed a full charge (12.7V). I took it to Advanced Autoparts and got it tested to be sure. Sure enough, it passed. I then tested it each day for the next 3 days and confirmed it held the charge.Four days later, after driving over 100 miles, she returned to Kwik Kar to reattempt the inspection. Again, she was told the car did not pass due to 2 Not Ready sensors. Initially, she was told she might need to drive the car another 100 miles for the sensors to reset . Then, the same tech looked at the paperwork from the previous visit and told her he had to test something else . When he returned, the tech told her the battery died again during the inspection saying it was a bad battery that needed to be replaced. She told him that we had the battery tested prior to the visit and it was fine, and hadn't given her any issues. He then went back to the car. When he returned, he told her the cause of the battery dying was the alternator. Knowing the alternator had been replaced a month prior, she told him that didn't sound right. After questioning the tech, he proceeded to flip back and forth talking about the battery and alternator, giving her conflicting information like he was purposely trying to confuse her. At this point, my wife called me to talk to the tech.During our conversation, the tech could not answer my questions about what he thought caused a perfectly good battery to die during the course of a state inspection. He repeatedly tried to speak over me, so I asked him to pass me to his manager. The manager got on the phone and immediately started trying to explain what was wrong with the alternator. At this point, I was fed up. I told him to put the battery back in the vehicle so my wife could leave.The next day, we took the vehicle to a garage to have the alternator checked. It passed without issue. We then took it to a third garage for a state inspection, and it passed without issue.If you ve had a similar experience with this Kwik Kar, please comment and let me know.

So I got recommended here by a friend and I must say I owe that friend lunch.My A/C compressor went out a few weeks ago and I had called around to get quotes, which turned into being a guessing game reading reviews and checking parts prices. I will admit that this place was 75$-100$ more than the cheapest quote I got, but the customer service was phenomenal. I called ahead and they had the parts there the next day when I came in. It only took 4 hours for them to get my car in and back to me. Of course A/C work is not cheap at the tune of 1200 but it was par for the course.Fast forward 2 days later and I had liquid dripping onto my floor. I suspected the evap core gave out ( not their fault as it was a part they had not touched ). They took my car back in, inspected it and found the evap drain was plugged. They cleaned it out, let it drain and they were NOT going to charge me for it. I still asked them to add some labor ( as they did work that was not part of the original repair ) onto my ticket which they added 20 bucks, very fair in my opinion. I would recommend this place for your repairs. They only state what is wrong with your vehicle and do not try to hard sell you.

At first, I left a bad review due to the charges that weren't explained properly. The manager called me today and apologized for not breaking it down and asked if there was anything he could do to make it right. For that, im now leaving a better review. Called to confirm they could change oil on an Audi; was told no problem. Driving down the highway twenty minutes after it was completed, the front skid plate comes flying out from under the car (causing significant damage but fortunately not harming anyone). Towed to the Audi dealership where I was informed the geniuses who drained the oil forgot to put the screws back into the plate when reaffixing it.
