HONEST Family Business!!! Been entrusting our auto repair at J & I for over 8 years and the jobs have Always been done right and at a great price. I Highly Recommend this shop for your repairs!UPDATE: January 2024Still a Great auto repair shop! Had a transmission go out, it was replaced with anew one, my Tahoe runs like new!

I want to start off by saying Jason is the Man! This guy is honest and will tell you and show what is wrong.I have been away for awhile but came back. I have a1965 mustang convertible and will not trust with anyone else but him. All my cars go to him.

Okay, let's be real: repairing your car isn't cheap unless you do it yourself. Jay is a stand-up guy, so don't waste his time and he won't waste yours.He did bodywork on my girlfriend's car and did an amazing job at an amazing price. Then, I took my Subaru for a full check, convinced that the brakes needed to be replaced. However, he informed me that I could wait for another oil change or two. Now, that's someone who cares more about the livelihood of your vehicle than putting extra change in his pocket. I give him a perfect 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend him.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Tires, Painting, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Oil change

Mr. Jason was very friendly from the time I pulled up to the time I left with my vehicle. Mr. Jason even offered me water when I dropped my vehicle off, which to me was a very friendly gesture. Mr. Jason took the time to explain and show me what the issue with my AC was. I dropped my vehicle off Tuesday close to closing and by the next day before noon, my vehicle was ready. Mr. Jason works fast and seems lime a very honest mechanuc which is hard to find nowadays. Think I just found my new mechanic in my area.

I have been going to J&I for around 8 yrs and he is the most honest shop around. I moved to Missouri City for a couple of years and I still brought all of my vehicles there for work to be done. as long as I am around his shop I will never use another shop.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

This place is the best auto shop I have ever been to. I have been the 3 shops in the past year because my car has had so many issues and every time they told me it was nothing or would replace something and by the next week it was back to being broken. This shop told me straight the problem, fixed it, and gave me a good price. 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

Jason is the the kindest and most honest mechanic. He helped fix my car s AC after another shop tried to tell me my entire AC system needed to be replaced for 3000. Jason fixed my AC by replacing a tube for 600. I found his shop by accident but will be a loyal customer here for all future car needs.

Some time has passed, and the good news is that I have not had a problem with the repair. But I have had a better experience at another shop nearby for a couple of reasons. One is that I can ask whatever questions I need to feel comfortable, without burdening them. The other is that I don't get vague, unspecified $41 shop fees.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Let me start off by reminding people how hard it is to find an honest, reliable mechanic who legitimately knows what he or she is doing. It can be near impossible, especially if you are new to a city (or even if you are not new). When I found out my car needed transmission work, I was less than thrilled about having to look for someone to do the job.After reading through Google reviews, I found Jason at J&I Auto.I cannot say enough good things about Jason. He has been nothing but honest and transparent since the first phone call I made to his shop. Laid back, easy to talk to. No sugar coating. Patience of a saint.The man knows his profession, and to say he knows it well is an understatement. I got my car into his shop and diagnosed quickly. He told me my options, got the job done fast, it was done correctly, and it was done at a unbelievably fair price. I never felt like I was being pressured into getting work done that I didn't need, and I never felt like I was being cheated or taken advantage of.It's safe to say that Jason cares about his customers. I highly recommend J&I Auto to anyone who is needing work done on their car or truck. When my car needs work, no matter if it's an oil change or if it's rebuilding my transmission, J&I Auto is where my car will go. Customer for life!

After reading several good reviews and getting several recommendations on this place over the course of many years, I finally took my vehicle there. J and I Auto did not disappoint! I found the gentleman who worked with me very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and honest. I haven't seen Jason in 6 years. He was as friendly and helped me with my Mom's car which both save me time and money.He always checks prices and assesses trouble before he does the work.He saved my Mom over a $1000 by taken it to him versus the Subaru dealership.He only fixes what needs to be repaired.No surprises and no upsale.J&I has been my go to guy for over 10 years.Thank you Jason

I had a rental car the other week. My clients ceiling in their parking garage wasn't high enough for the expedition. Busted up the roof rack. Out of town and need a trustworthy auto repair place - my client tells me to go to J & l. The experience could not have gone better. They were awesome, honest, quick and fixed the truck in 24 hours. I knew how much parts were going to cost but I had no tools and frankly I didn't need them. J & l was great!!! Honest, fair and reasonably priced auto mechanics and body shops are hard to find. These guys are a gem in a sea of crap. I'd take my cars to them if I lived here and if I ever have another problem while traveling here I will go back

Jason and his team have been servicing my '07 truck for years. His fair, timely maintenance and repairs keep it in top shape.While it's true that their prices are fair, the greatest value lies in the quality of their workmanship and support of.But, I've been a client for so long and will remain so for the foreseeable future because of Jason's mastery of relationships.If you want dependable no nonsense automotive service while being treated with the utmost respect, look no further.

I have used J & I ever since I moved to Clear Lake 13 years ago. Jason is honest and knows his business. I often recommend him when someone needs auto repair. He will explain your options before he does the work. I ve had him work on probably a dozen different makes and models and have never been disappointed.

I've taken 3 different vehicles to J&I over the last few years and always gotten great service. Last time my 2007 Dodge quit the dealer said they couldn't look at it for at least two weeks, and Jason had me on the road the next day for much less than I would have paid. He shows me the old parts and really communicates well. I most recently had an AC compressor changed, and he did the research and told me I really needed to change the fan clutch as well, and showed me a warning about the fan clutch that came with the compressor. I'll continue to use him.

These people are so honest not sure why you would go anywhere else.They have saved me thousands with their honestyMost recent had an ac go out and one shop very close by quotes me 400 they fixed it doe free and didn t replace any parts it was just a wire.

Jason is awesome. I m new to the area and was having some car problems. He got things done quick and even rode out the lot with me when I was worried that my brakes were still being crazy. He s honest and chill as well. I needed a mechanic and took my truck to J&I ... that was 10 years ago and Jason's still my mechanic.Shortly after my son joined the Air Force his compressor went out. J&I repaired his car, charging only for parts. When he ask about the labor charge, Jason and Irma said "Thanks for Your Service to Our Country" ... no charge.I've recommended J&I to my friends and family because he knows how to fix vehicles.

I'm so glad I was referred to J&I. This place has saved me so much money and the job gets fixed the first time. Jason is very professional and he actually knows what he is doing and talking about when it comes to mechanics. This is his thing, this is what he does. It's his area of expertise. Him and his whole crew are very professional and quick at getting the job done.I was so sick of taking my car to these big name places (NTB) and constantly having car issues afterwards or things on my car would go missing. Then I realized, those big name places are run by a bunch of kids who aren't experienced or knowledgeable and usually don't plan to stick around so they are usually careless.Everyone should have their vehicle taken here! I trust this place with my car 100% and will continue to use their service in the future should i ever have a car issue again.

I went to j&i with a problem the Chevy dealership couldn't figure out and the folks at j&i took care of it for less then then what the dealership charged me for the diagnostic. The problem they couldn't figure out was taken care of by j&i. That was 8 years ago and since then they have been my auto repair shop. I recommend j&i to anybody. Great people. I love them

We drive older vehicles and have used J&I for all of our repairs for 10 years. Jason does a great job of making sure the issues are addressed and because he knows our vehicles he can provide that extra level of service. I don't think of any other place to go for auto repairs.

After working on my car replacing parts that "tested bad" I still couldn't get it going. Came on here to see which local shop had good reviews and turns J and I rated the highest. Stopped by and talked to Jason to get the ok to have my vehicle towed there. Dropped it off a lil before closing time... Recieved a phone call the very next morning that my car was fixed. Turned out it just had a bad power connection and the charge was only half the costs of the diagnostics. I've delt with a lot of dishonest shops before and this is one of the first times that I actually feel like I under paid. The costs to have my car towed was double the cost of the repair. Really a breath of fresh air to know there is still honest mechanics out there.

Jason (the "J" in "J&I") is my family doctor for my cars and for my friends' vehicles that I send there for service. Like your favorite doctor, Jason listens carefully to your problem. He researches it if necessary from his extensive computer data base. He gives you options if there are any and the plain truth if not. He is especially competent with problems with your car's computer and can fix corrupted software. Besides all that, he is friendly and his prices make you sure you are getting fair treatment.

J&I Auto has delivered nothing but good business to my girlfriends grandmother and myself (she actually recommended this establishment to me!) The work is punctual and Jason will always keep you in the loop. Definitely recommend for a family mechanic.

Took my car here to get my thermostat replaced. Not only did they do a stellar job, but also beat out anyone else in the area by almost half! Quality work and fair pricing?! You can't beat that. I'll be back the next time I need anything repaired on any of my vehicles.
