5 stars aren t enough for the customer service offered at Phoenix Transmission! Exceptional through and through. Our 2017 Yukon XL with the dreaded 6L80 premature failure is our family ride. 5 kids and no other way to get them all to and from, Phoenix took us in a moments notice and had us back out with a fully built transmission better than the original within a day, all with a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty. Upgraded components throughout and all for a very reasonable price. They even offered me a ride to get it when I couldn t get all of the family up there safely to get it. What a fantastic company who truly cares about their customers. Don t waste your time looking for a better place to take your ride for transmission work, this is it and worth every dollar. Thank you Phoenix!

These guys are great. I bought a 1997 Ford F-150 at auction for $700 for my son and asked them to evaluate the transmission and rear end. They said the transmission was OK and the old tires were so noisy I had to get new ones before they could Road test the rear end. Best part...no charge! I'll be going back once the new tires are on.

I have been doing business with Greg and the guys for about 20 years. I have a Specialty Auto shop that has specialized in custom engine design and custom computer programming for over 33 years. I do not leave anything to chance with my client's vehicles - they expect reliability, drivability and perfection. When I task Phoenix with a trans build, it gets done when they say it will be done, for the fair price I am quoted, and the work and product are ALWAYS without issue for me.I had Phoenix rebuild and upgrade 2 6L80E units with billet torque converters in 2023. They got me in and out much much faster than expected, and the units were very crisp and tight in operation, and the clients could not be happier with their vehicles now.I have toured the Phoenix shop and James and Alex were and are very gracious in answering any questions or discussing what I wanted or needed for my clients trans needs. It is a real good feeling knowing these guys are experts in their field and in some cases, particular units. I really appreciate their attention to detail on every build and the customer service they provide, so please understand how big a deal it is for me to always be impressed and able to rely on Phoenix Transmission Products without any reservations.Thanks, Ya'll !

They built a 700R4 for my 59 el camino, asking the right questions like what engine, rear end gearing and tire size....worked great and then....when it broke 3 years later, they fixed fixed it free of charge....they told me - "It shouldn't have done that". Incredible service and quality workmanship.

My wife and I are very happy with the work done on our 2016 Yukon Denali s 4WD transmission. GM has a class action lawsuit ongoing now on its 8-speed transmissions. Gary s team remanufactured the unit and it runs like a watch. I totally understand why they have such a long backlog of work (over 30 folks patiently waiting their turn), it s because their work is stellar and as promised on cost and quality. I highly recommend Phoenix Transmissions, they are very special and honest people. Thanks again guys!Service: Transmission

I couldn't be happier! I ordered over the phone and it was shipped to me within 2 weeks Scott in the custom shop built me a 700R4 transmission for my '70 GTO and it drives and accelerates like a whole new car. He also built me a custom bracket. He spent a LOT of time on the phone with me advising me how to set up the TV cable. Don't go anywhere else!Service: Transmission

The story starts with a 1969 Chevrolet. the people at pheonix are so helpful. I got the third strongest transmission flavor for my bored and stroked 400sbc, Nothing insane but potent. Couldn t get a couple numbers off my engine with the covid thing going on but they worked with me and boy, it s payed out. It came in the cleanest crating iv ever seen. As well as the torque converter, which obvious care was taken. Everything hooked up like clockwork, and they were super helpful to my mechanic with the proper geometry bracket of my 700r4. I just jumped into my truck for the first time, drove around and it s tame when it needs to be and when you give it the brick, the truck goes sideways. You can t put a price on that in my book. Greg and his team are accommodating, know their trade extremely well, and courteous. They have worked on over 7 transmissions for me over the years, one of which was a full rebuild of my high school graduation present a 76 chevy with a turbo 400 transmission. Still in use today. Great place to do business. They have never misrepresented 1 thing to me in those years.

I had a leak in a TH350 coming from the bullet that holds the speedometer gear. I took it out and went to Phoenix to buy a replacement.They had the exact part I needed, and did NOT charge me for it. They have built me a trans in the past and a rear differential but, it was not for this vehicle. I was not expecting that. That s taking care of a repeat customer right there!We swapped car stories for 30 minutes and the part fixed my leak.This place is great and those guys know what they are doing!Thank you,Tom H.Service: Transmission

Thank you Phoneix transmission for a great service! Took it to another shop they wanted to put a new transmission in my truck (5200$) Greg took a look at it for me a with his experience and knowledge we were able to diag and $1500 later and a new convertor only. Just got a transmission rebuilt by these guys and they did a fantastic job!!! All new sensors are installed from mfg, not aftermarket. The transmission shifted beautifully!! very professional helpful staff. A++++ Thank you

There is no transmission service center in Parker and neighboring counties that is more knowledgeable, equipped, and ready to meet transmission issues.Prices may be higher than competitors; you get what you pay for - just sayin'..Daily driver. Project car/truck. Hot rods. They'll help with them all.

Can t say enough good things about Greg and his shop. The most honest shop I have ever dealt with. Greg could have sold me a full transmission rebuild but recommended a torque converter, and it worked! Saved me thousands of dollars. I ll definitely bring and recommend and transmission repair to Phoenix. They only offer top quality products as well! Thanks again

I had a call with Greg today and I will be calling back next Monday to see when we can get my truck in his shop. I have not used his shop before, but when I called Chris's muffler shop and they said go there they will do the best job and a good price. That is all I had to hear. if they are like Chris' shop I have found a great place to do business with.

A number of years ago they built a 700-R4 for my Suburban. The only one of all the major transmission builders nationwide to ask what was the trans going into and changed the tail shaft to fit the crossmember. Blew that one up because I had it built for 300 hp ( my fault). They rebuilt the trans for 600 hp (dynos at 450) and it has worked just great. On my 4th engine rebuild, if only I could find an engine shop the caliber of Phoenix. Great people and great work.Service: Transmission

We had a transmission put in a diesel pick-up with Phoenix. After repeated problems and taking the truck back it was never fixed properly or addressed. We have taken other vehicles here and not experienced this. The diesel truck was never fixed properly and we have taken it to another location to be fixed. I do not normally write reviews of this nature, but was disappointed we paid for the truck to be fixed and it was never done correctly. We have had other pleasant experiences here, but this one was clearly not.Service: Transmission

We had been told by another car shop we needed a new transmission. We brought it to Phoenix for a 2nd opinion. They found it was an issue with one part and it was a $20 repair versus a $4,000 transmission. Great service. Excellent integrity. Hard to find these days. Wow. Forget the Chain stores. Think back to simpler times when people actually took pride in the work they did. Do that, and you will have an idea of how this place operates. Full replacement of my transmission and a military discount. Do yourself a favor and take the trip to Weatherford. It's worth it.
