I recently took my vehicle in so they could fix an issue with the transmission. while the vehicle was in their care, and being left outside unprotected, there was a storm .. causing hail damage to the vehicle. when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told that customers whose vehicles were damaged are SOL because our insurance isn t covering an act of nature if you re in business and assume custody of someone s property then you re responsible if damage happens while you have the car.so what started out as a simple repair has turned into over $2,500 in hail damagethis company should own the responsibility and fix the hail dings

If you want to take your vehicle to a shop that DOES NOT stand behind their work, this is the place for you. My vehicle started having problems about 9 months ago, I'm new to the area and this place was suggested to me. $1,600 later they claimed to have fixed the issue. 2 months later the same issue reoccurred. I took it back to them and they claimed to have fixed the issue again and only charged me for the labor ($400), fortunately for me the part was still under warranty. 2 weeks later, the same issue happened again. I took it back and they claimed it was a defective part. They claimed to have fixed it (again) so i sent my son to pick it up and on the way back from the shop the issue happened again plus the vehicle got hot so we took it back. A couple weeks later they called and said they fixed both issues(another $250). My daughter lives in Waxahachie so I called her to pick it up and you guessed it, the original electrical issue happened again and it got hot on her way home from the shop, stranding my daughter on the side of the road. So, I took it back (for the 5th time if you're keeping track)I waited three weeks for a call, finally I called them to get an update on my vehicle. They claimed to have been trying to get in contact with me (no missed calls on my end and no voicemails)Now they are saying they will no longer warranty the part and that I'll need a new engine. I was told Aaron would call me back to discuss it and I bet you can guess that I never received that call back. Never once have they accepted any responsibility or offered to give me my money back or any other solution. So here I sit, down nearly $2,300 and the vehicle is worse off now than when I first took it there. The only positive I can think of at this point is that they did not charge me this last time for looking at it. Communication is horrible, they apparently do not test drive the vehicle when they "fix" it and are quick to pass blame elsewhere. You're welcome Anglen Automotive for my charitable donation to your business.

The nicest guys ever. We had several people come out before and no one could help- the gas pump got stuck in our truck and no one could get it out. They came out quick and got it out quick free of charge. The nicest guys ever and saved our entire trip. Call them!!

Going to Anglen Automative I am very grateful for. They fixed a tire for me and have worked on both of my vehicles. As a single mom and someone who has to handle car places by myself it always makes me nervous to take my vehicle in. I have gone to many places for simple things, like an oil change and have been done wrong. At Anglen's automative, they always tell me the truth about how much the cost will be, the time and are always so helpful to get me home if I need it. I appreciate their honesty and integrity.

I absolutely avoid writing reviews of any kind, but I m out of options at this point. We reluctantly took our 2016 Honda Pilot to this business to address a check engine light and three other lights that were on the dash. i say reluctantly because we have had some local friends comment about how much Anglen has been charging, but we needed the convenience of a local mechanic. The automobile was there for a little over two weeks and they said that made some repairs but we needed to drive it for the weekend to see if the lights came back on but we needed to pay them $2400 for whatever they did to the car. We drove it less than 100 miles and all of the check engine light and other lights came back on. They told us to bring the car back and they would try to fix it. We dropped it off and the car was there for another week. we picked it up all the lights came back on. we brought it back another week. (i m not upset with the time it took btw) This time (around week four of dealing with the issue) they let us know the check engine light was due to the catalytic converter and needed to be replaced for $1300. i told my husband we would just pick up the car and deal with it later at another business, i did not want to give them any more money. We picked up the car and two days later alllll the other problem lights came back on, plus some new ones. I m just confused as to what we paid $2400 for .and discouraged that the problem that supposedly cost us $2400 seems to be completely the same even worse. i will say that they have never been rude and have been professional when dealing with us face to face but i m loosing sleep over the fact we have paid that $2400 plus $600for a rental car while waiting on this auto to be fixed the car is exactly the same as where we started. i m not sure what it has all been for?

I can't say enough good things about Anglen and their knowledge, professionalism and courtesy. They were able to solve my problem quickly. My thanks to Jason for getting me back on the road home to Houston. I wish Icould give Anglen 10 stars!

These guys did good work on my older truck - had a very high quote from the dealership, and these guys did it for about half with a used part. Cost was fair and when I brought it back in for a minor adjustment, they had it ready to go quickly. Just be prepared to wait a few weeks if this is for a big repair - they have a lot of cars waiting to get fixed.

I was on my way to Colorado from the Galveston area when my car broke down. I was referred to Anglen by the staff at Jiffy Lube. (I started there hoping the problem with my car was something minor)Aaron and his team were able to look at my car immediately (even though it was 2 days before Xmas) and diagnosed it with a pretty major problem that made the car unsafe to drive. I was devastated my kids and I had been planning this trip for almost a year!! I am a single mom and coming up with money for airline tickets or a rental car was not an option. The whole Anglen family came together and made sure that we got to Colorado. Their generosity and kindness were just the Christmas miracle me and my kids needed.I sound like a broken record but THANK YOU to Anglen Automotive and the entire Anglen family! You are amazing!! I really like Anglen Automotive because:1. I trust them.2. They never do needless repairs3. Their prices are ALWAYS better than the dealership.4. They stand behind their work.5. The worst thing is that they're usually busy.... which is to be expected. I highly recommend

There isn't a service these folks haven't provided for my small personal fleet. From antique GMC, to Hyundai, Honda, Chevy and Ford, these folks have fixed it all. They saved a car that was literally submerged in a parking structure for two days. They dried it out and got it going again. The refurbed the interior of our old truck, they've done transmissions, ad a lot of other stuff i don't understand. They take the time to explain. They threatened to pursue legal action because of my bad review. Spent over $900 replacing the alternator though the real issue was my transmission, which i waited weeks for and it never came. They told me they'd have it done in a week. I asked for several days in a row for them to get me the transmission number so I could look into finding one myself since there was clearly no progress being made. Each day they said they'd call me back with the transmission number and any information on the ETA of the new transmission. They never called me back. They claimed that there was only one transmission for my vehicle which was not true. My original review had the numbers a little off and i rounded up, which is apparently grounds for legal action so that's why I'm revising this post to give you an accurate example of how terrible my experience was. The owner was also incredibly rude.Original review: Dishonest and overpriced. Charged 1000 dollars to replace an alternator that probably took under an hour to replace. Charged 500 for labor and 500 for parts. An alternator for my 1988 dodge dakota costs under 200 dollars. Do not trust these people.

Thank you Aaron and team for an outstanding job installing the receiver hitch on my vehicle when everything seemed to be working against getting it done. Looks great and can t wait to use it in a few weeks. Both of our vehicles are serviced by y all and the quality of work is very appreciated. Fairness and honesty is very evident in everything y all do. Highly recommended!

The only reason this business doesn't have less bad reviews is because the owner makes people take down their reviews! He offered me to take down my review if he tried to fix my truck again but honestly it wasn't worth it! POOR QUALITY WORK! UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE OWNER!!Had my truck serviced 5x by them for the same thing, turns out I had my other mechanic look at it and right away pointed out the issue!Never again, don't waste your money! I SPENT $1500 here and what a waste of time and money.

I just recently visited this shop and had the WORST customer service. I came early in the morning and there were 3 gentlemen working in the front. There was an older gentlemen who did not even address me by saying good morning or anything. There were 2 gentlemen behind the counter, and as I walked up they waited to finish their conversation about the weekend before one gentleman addressed me by saying "What do you need?" I should have taken this as a sign to leave, however I gave grace and tried to continue to be kind. As I was reading my paper to tell him which brake pads needed to be fixed, he was making faces acting annoyed at the fact I was reading info from my paper. I left my vehicle and called 6 hours for a progress check and that is when an older gentleman told me I was far down on the list and that they would not touch my car until tomorrow. He was extremely rude and uncaring as I told him no one shared that I would not get my car back the same day when all I needed were brake pads replaced. I did not plan for transportation, therefore I needed my car the same day. After two encounters of RUDE service, I kindly came and picked my car up. As I asked for my keys, the gentleman didn't even inquire as to why I was picking up my car. He did not care and showed no interest in why I was picking up my car. I don't care what kind of day someone is having, if you work for a company CUSTOMER SERVICE is KEY. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there at all and did not trust they would get the job done from the RUDE service I received from my very first encounter with not one but THREE gentlemen who were ALL rude.

I'm going to use 2 words in the review that should be much stronger, but I will refrain. Those words are rude and unprofessional.We recently had one of our new trucks brought in to have lift/level struts installed, new tires installed, and an alignment. All of which are not tough tasks for a decent shop. The morning it was dropped my business partner was addressed by the older gentleman who, at the time, seemed a bit on edge and was a bit rude. The description of work was given as well as the parts. He was told 4 days to perform the work. There was an appointment made for this visit prior, so to give 4 days for a job that would take an experienced shop 3 hours is a bit out of line. This shop is clearly unorganized and takes on more work than they should. upon completion the truck was looked over (for damage, dings, ect.) and brought back to our place of business. That evening I looked over the work. I will say I'm not going to crawl under a vehicle in a field where it was parked at their shop to look over their work, nor should anyone have to do that. What I found was the top strut nuts (all 3 of them) were turned on finger tight, 2 of the tires not installed in the correct orientation, and the truck would wander slightly left when driving down the road. We contacted Anglen a few days later (we are a busy business as well, and the truck was not being put into service). We dropped the truck off with the younger gentleman at the front counter. We walked outside and he agreed that the items that I noticed were not done correctly and we were assured it would be taken care of. Now upon pick-up from Anglen after fixing the issues we talked to the older gentleman (I'm assuming at this point he is the owner) and they handed us a bill. I simply stated we are not paying a bill for work that was done incorrectly the first time. His response was "we already fixed the struts and the alignment under warranty but you are paying to have the tires flipped" He said this as RUDE (< Insert a few profane words) as he possibly could. He wadded up the bill in angry and said " you both just get out of here"...... No problem jack! you won't see another dime from us and I'm hoping this review will make others aware of their ways. Not only is this place unprofessional and their owner rude, but they can't even perform the simplest of tasks. I wouldn't trust them to fix anything automotive, in fact I don't believe they could fix a sandwich.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

After: They burned out my motherboard by some freak accident, then repaired it and when they gave me the car they warned me that it would never run well again and I d need to get rid of it ASAP.Before they burned out my motherboard: An automotive mechanic that works with integrity and finds solutions when they re hard to come by. I m new to the area and Anglen Automotive is refreshing and gives me faith that his auto repair shop will find a way do the right thing to take care of customers. They have a great reputation around town and now I see why.

I was in town from Memphis TN for work and the wheel bearing started grinding when I was driving through Arkansas last week. I was robbed from my hotel room in Nashville TN and when the police recovered my car. It had been totalled and abandoned so I wasn't sure what the extent of the damages were. I have a double degree in mechanical and mechatronics engineering and I've worked on everything from lawn mowers to bulldozers to locomotives. When Aaron Angelen looked at my car, he backed out up, pulled it forward, and came back into the lobby to tell me that it was too dangerous to drive and worked up a $1,000 estimate without actually looking at anything. He had decent reviews on Google so I agreed to let him do the work but when my friends came to pick me up, they told me about their experience with his shop and how he had taken advantage of them so I started reaching out to some of my contacts in the Waxahachie area. I called Aaron and told him that I had found the parts for less than he had quoted me for but he immediately told me that they were the wrong parts and he wouldn't install them. I found it hard to believe that I can find parts for 150 year old machines but not a Honda Civic but he was so rude that I didn't argue. The next morning I called and told Aaron that I had found another shop to work on my car and he wanted $60 to release the car and when I got upset he threatened to have my car impounded. The roads were iced over so I had to call a friend that had 4 wheel drive to take me to the shop where he had me sign a release of liability stating that my car was unsafe but he wanted me to drive it off of his property in inclement weather before he had it towed from his property? The mechanic that I took it to called this morning after he tore into it and it just needed a new wheel bearing pressed into the knuckle and will only cost a fraction of what Anglen automotive was wanting to charge. Aaron was rude, unprofessional, and caused quite the inconvenience for us.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Traveling to a college visit for my daughter and accidentally mixed regular unleaded in my diesel. The first automotive shop we called to see if they could help us turned us away and let me tell you how thankful I am they did. Ended up calling Anglens Automotive and Aaron was super helpful. Told us what he thought was best for the situation and ordered an additive to help and told us what to do once we got home and the craziest part he did not charge us a dime. We are so thankful and appreciative for his help and time. Definitely would recommend to anyone!!

Honest shop full of great people and affordable prices. Very much a local mechanic shop that can do anything and not a chain that looks for ways to rip you off!Had a $2500 quote for about 8 different things wrong, ended up paying $200 here and the car ran great another 60,000 miles before we traded it in for an upgrade.

I had an incident where my vehicle would not start at times. I couldn't pin point where the issue was coming from. I have a friend , Merritt, who works there, told me to bring it by on a Sunday when they were closed. I got a call around 8 am Monday telling me exactly what was wrong with it and how much. I feel they were very honest and sincere. i will keep recommending this place. thank you guys. .

We recently took a road trip to Texas. On 35E I hit a debris (a large piece of rubber from junk tire), and it unfortunately bent a metal part that coming in contact with the drive shaft (I think). My car made loud noise whenever it's get accelerated. I called this mechanic shop and explained the situation. The person answered the phone was very much understanding and willing to help with this emergency even though their schedule seems quite busy. We took the car there and they helped us solve the issue within 10 mins after finding the root cause. They saved us big time and we were able to arrive OKC on time that evening. Thank you so so much!Very friendly, professional and honest people! I would take my car to here for service if I get to move to Dallas area.

I took my car on a here Friday to have my car serviced. I paid $59.99 to have my air-condition serviced, which I was told by the Dad I needed a compressor and a fan but I could probably drive my car like that thru the summer. When I took my car in this shop it was blowing cold air, as long as you are driving but cools off if The car is idle too long. When I got my car back it was only blowing hot air even when you drive. So I called them back that following Monday after they kept my car four days and ask them and asked if they could order the parts to fix the air that following Monday, their response was, CAN YOU BRING THE CAR BACK IN LEAVE IT WITH US A COUOLE MORE DAYS, SO WE CAN LOOK AT YOUR AIR CONDITION AGAIN. I really didn t understand that when they just supposedly looked at my air three days ago and charged me for it.Also my car was there for them to find out why my front end was rubbing and squeaking. THE son Jason looked at my car and told my it was a hub, which I had just had both front hub and breaks repaired in January by another shop. So Jadon took the hub off and my husband took the part back to Autozone and returned a new one to Jason. In the meantime I get a call saying he broke my AB sensor and him and his Dad talked about it. Can I pay half of the price with him to replace it. I said ok at this point because I just need my car fix and ready to. I was borrowing someone else car while they had mines these four days.I get my car back and the front end still squeaking and I don t have air.. These auto repair place beat me out of almost $300 dollar.I called an talk to the Dad his attitude was very rude. Beware of this company they try to draw you in being nice but they are sheep in wolf clothing. NEVER WILL I GO HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

Amazing service! I was driving from Austin to Dallas with a friend when my car broke down outside Waxahachie. Anglen was open and said they could take a look after I got a tow. The idler pulley on my little civic was busted, but my friend and I were trying to get to a wedding that night. Not only did these guys call all over town to get the part I needed and fix it up before they closed for the weekend, they even arranged for me to pick it up Saturday from their lot. Super nice guys, very helpful, and I'm so grateful for their willingness to help out two girls from out of town.
