I've been coming here for the last several years. Ray has always been honest with me and has never charged me for work that didn't need to be done. I call Ray for all my automobile questions, even when I'm thinking of buying a used car and he always tells me what he thinks and I totally trust him. He's never done work without letting me know how much it's going to cost and what needs to be done, and it's always done right. I own 5 different vehicles and Jim & Dean are the only ones I trust to work on my cars.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Fair pricing and friendly. Went for a rotor resurface after NTB told me the rotors needed to be changed and couldn't be resurfaced. Jim & Dean's did the work for half the price of $200. They were complete in one day. The garage itself is pretty dirty and not kept up very well but the overall service and experience was enough to return.

We had brought our vehicle to Jim & Dean's auto repair because there was a leak in the coolant system. It wasn't obvious where the leak was coming from, and the leak was a slow drip which required the coolant reservoir to be filled every few days.We were told that the engine manifold would have to be removed to determine where the leak was coming from before they could give us an estimate for repairs.After two days Ray from Jim & Dean's contacted us to tell us that there was a coolant pipe that runs under the manifold that needed to be replaced because it had rusted and that this was a common issue with the type of engine that was in our car. They had also told us that the had performed this type of work before and that they would be able to repair the vehicle for $1400.After having the vehicle for a week and a half, they called us and told us that it was ready for us to pick up. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, we were told by Ray that we needed to check the coolant levels to make sure it wasn't losing coolant any longer. We thought this was odd because that is what we paid them $1400 for was to fix the coolant leak.After a couple of days we noticed that the vehicle was still losing coolant and that the engine temperature was now extremely high, almost to the point of overheating and seizing up. We did not have this problem before they tried to repair the vehicle. I immediately contacted Jim & Dean's to tell them that we needed to bring the vehicle back over because it was still leaking coolant.After not hearing from them for another two days, I called them to find out the status of my vehicle and was informed that they couldn't figure out where the leak was and why the vehicle was still losing coolant. They couldn't fix it.At this point, I told them that we needed our vehicle repaired and we were going to come and get the vehicle and take it to another mechanic to get a second opinion. Ray told us that he thought that was a good idea.We took the vehicle to Christian Brothers in Rockwall and had them fully inspect the vehicle. They reported to us that coolant was "cascading" from underneath the manifold where the supposed repairs where made. In addition, they told us that it appears that the mechanic had used a product called "Leak Stop" to try to seal up the shoddy work that was done. In doing this, they completely clogged the radiator which caused us to have to have it replaced. The new estimate from Christian Brothers was $3,100.We were told that Jim & Dean's did not properly replace the pipe. The mechanic at Jim & Dean's used RTV Silicone sealant on each end of the pipe they installed to try to stop the leak and cover up their poor, improper repairs. Silicone is not suppose to be used on this type of connection, the pipes are sealed by an O ring.Jim & Dean's Garage refused any kind of refund and would not stand by their work. We were out $1400 plus the cost of having to replace the radiator that was clogged by the Leak Stop they had put in it.

Took my truck there because the heater wasn t working. They we able to get me in and get it fixed quickly, and they don t price gouge like a lot of other places

Stopped in with an airbag light on Ray took good care of me. honest people if you have a problem I definitely recommend stopping in at Jim and Dean's garage for all your Automotive problems.

The owner of this business is very knowledgeable and will tell you everything you need to know about what went wrong. We have had work done here for many years and have never had any problems.
