THEY CRASHED MY CAR. I wish I could give zero stars. I went in with a small cut in my tire and asked if they could patch or replace my tire. They told me while they were pulling the car in to the garage, they hit a pillar. They also said they couldn t patch my tire because the cute was too big (it s two centimeters long and I got it patched today by a different auto shop) or replace my tire because they didn t have any of the type of tire I needed (I looked it up afterwards and it s the most standard, basic tire). What a joke. According to Yelp, they ve crashed other people s cars too. Beware of this auto shop.

Strangest customer service. Called to see if there was an opening for a tire rotation and was told they were finishing the only car on the rotation rack and to bring it in. Brought it in and they acted like no one talked to me. Finally admitted they did. They lost my trust for good. Tried to follow up with Coorperate but did not seem like they care either.

They charged my $1792 in advance to order parts AND made me pay for the service that had not yet been performed. We contacted them the next business day to cancel the order. That was 5 weeks ago and we still do not have our refund. I have contacted corporate customer service 6 times, and have been repeatedly told that they have put in an "urgent" request for a call back, yet NO ONE has returned my communication. Oh, and by the way, the part they needed to special order for $1300 - readily available from multiple online vendors for $250.

I have taken my car up there SIX times because it keeps overheating! They have replaced 4 different parts and it still having the same problem! $1500 later, 3 rentalCars and 4 calls to corporate and NOTHING has been done! Communication is by far the WORST! I ve had to leave my car MULTIPLE times because of no one available or just lack of communication! This place is full of shade tree (one even called himself that) mechanic s definitely will be calling my lawyer.

I had a bad battery come up Saturday and Pep Boys was a close availability.The bays were full, but the service tech was able to get me in into one quickly.I was shown on a tracker that the wait time would be at least an hour, but the battery was installed much sooner; more like 1/2 hour at most and this was no problem since I was an unexpected customer.The cost of the battery was too high, in the $250 range, but I blame that more on the national BIDEN inflation situation than anything else.

This place will take an advantage of women. Thank goddesses I know something about cars or they would have put parts on that was not needed. Be careful when they tell you your lugnuts are swollen. These people are pathetic.

I usually buy my tires from pep boys in waco tx. I recently will no longer do business with this company. I work in gatesville tx, one of my tires keeps losing air. So I have a warranty (roadside hazard) so I go into the Waco location, waited for at least 6 to 10mins. Another customer comes in and he decides to go where it says employees only to get help. Employee comes out, I tell him about my tire. He sadly says he can only air up my tire, he is unable to take care of any warranty repairs. He explained that I would have to come back and see the mgr, then wait for the mgr to tell his regional manager. I explained that when I purchased the tires and the warranty no mgr was called, nor regional manager or corporate. So I will never give this company money. This is sad, you took my money with no problem but you have to call everyone and the president to honor the warranty that I paid for. I will be taking my business to discount tire.Do not buy tires from the pep boys in waco. Horrible service. What is truly sad when I purchased the tires, this girl put the wrong size of tire on , I had to come back and demand for them to put the correct size of tire but she got the other tire size correct and messed up just the one.(This is when I originally purchased the tires

I was satisfied with my car. I didn't like the attitude of the Assistant Manager his name is Gab. He told he been at work all day and he is trying to get off I was taking to long paying $900.26. I felt like he was rushing me and when I have to spend money like that I am going to take my time. My response to him customer come first and this is his job not mine then I ask him for the manager number.

My friends and I are on a road trip and ended up getting a nail stuck in our tire over an hour away from our hotel. By the time we got the spare tire on and able to drive over, it was past 7pm but Bill and Thomas still took our car and patched the tire for us so we could get back to our hotel and continue on our way. These guys were super nice and extremely accommodating and very helpful. Thank you again!

We went in today to Pep Boys valley mills just about 45-60 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, we had a screw in our tire and it was REALLY messed up. It couldn t hold any pressure at all as in, we had filled up the air at a quick trip 3 miles up the road and our tire was flat by the time we made it to Pep Boys. When we got there, we talked to Shawn, the store manager. Upon first speaking with him, he told us that they were completely booked, and we could tell they were understaffed on top of everything. But when we let him know our situation - we were more than an hour from home, the tire issue was completely random, and all of the other tire shops were closed - Shawn made a way and got us taken care of. We d checked multiple places and we really had no other options, we would have been stranded if he hadn t been able to help. We got super lucky and they had a tire in stock, and he was able to get it switched out for us even though it technically put them past closing. I am very pregnant, we d had our vehicle for less than a month, and my husband was VERY stressed. Shawn really didn t have to do anything, he had no obligation, but we are extremely grateful that he did. Thank you for being sensitive to our situation, and for exceptional customer service!!

We have been looking for a new place to take our vehicles to. We've had to take 2/3 cars we own in for various problems and they have been timely, courteous, and knowledgeable on everything.

TLDR: repair costs are incredibly high and you have to call consistently to get updates, they will not call you. Sean was very kind throughout this ordeal.I originally was not going to leave a review, but after going to other shops and confirming the pricing on the repair for my vehicle, I realized that this service was way outside the pricing that it should have been. Originally I came into Pep Boys because my transmission was overheating. They were the only shop open on that day that I came in and they were able to take my car and have it looked at in between appointments, which I appreciate 100%. However during the next 2 days I didn t get any updates on my vehicle. I called and Sean the representative was able to give me some details about what was going on with my vehicle. However I did not find out until the last minute and multiple calls that the issue was the valve body needing to be replaced. They quoted me almost $4000 for this repair. They already ordered the part without my knowledge, but I ended up declining this service.I was able to get this repair done for half the cost I was quoted. Great service reps, but the cost is not competitive.

Excellent service.With NO appointment in & out under 3 hours. Fixed an issue that two other shops failed to fix in two attempts each.Not to mention, WIFI & ports available, so I was able to sit there and get my work caught-up, while eating my lunch.I will be back In fact going to make an appointment for more work right now One caution: I will say: be sure to go over your estimate thoroughly and tell them to call you if they re going to deviate from it. Otherwise, you might run into a bit of a surprise when you go to pay.All in all: A rare shop in the world of automotive today that gets the job done right thefirst time. They also honor and stand by their work and warranties!

Guys didn't speak to me as I entered the front! They were on the phone and/or computer and didn't even acknowledge I was there. I was grateful they could work me in the same day. However, their prices were exorbitant!! After being diagnosed (which cost me over $55) and told the crazy estimate, I called the (Toyota) dealership just to check prices. In the end, I was worked in same day at Toyota and paid HALF what I was quoted at Pep Boys!! Part of that was they resurfaced my back rotors, which should have been offered by Pep Boys. Even comparing same services, I saved tremendously by going to the dealership!! Guy at Pep Boys was sweet about it at the end, but do your homework!!

Bill and Thomas really helped us out. Coming from out of state I got a flat tire and were 1.5 hours away from my hotel and and everywhere else had already closed, I didn't know what we would've done if not for their kindness.

I'm so amazed and thankful with the service I received!Gab and Shawn took great care of me and my car. I had a flat an hour away and when I called they personally went and checked to make sure they had my tired instead of just relying on their computer inventory. I told them I was an hour away and wouldn't be there until after 7 (they closed at 8) and they told me that they would still be able to help me.When I got there they were very professional and didn't try to rush anything even though they were closing soon and were already busy. The store its self was clean and I was able to relax comfortably while I waited.Even though I told them they could just throw the spare in the back of the trunk they ended up putting it back in the container.I was traveling over 8 hours and still had more hours to go that day they and they made an extremely stressful situation into a stress free experience for me.THANK YOU!

Was able to get in and out of there on a Sunday morning in less that 2 hours with one car in front of me. Would be five stars, but there was only one tech working so things were much slower than what I am used to at Discount Tire. They did a great job of fixing my damaged tire and did it for $24.95. All that seemed reasonable. Just wish it could have been taken care of a little quicker.

Update: There is no update because these people made me upload copies of all the documents I had from my visit and email them to Pep Boys, That was on July 12, 2023 There were about 4 to 5 emails asking what going on and they kept promising to have a field rep call me but at this time six weeks later still no call back. Please stay as far away from this Waco location as you can, Can't imagine how many people they have stolen money from without any kind of repairs.

On two occasions I encountered the store manager Sean who would vent about how his mechanics were no good he did not get lunches and when he did the mechanics would call him on his lunch and he would have to ask him if he could at least finish his sandwich before he did any pep boys work he also stated that the car company MEI/Automax mechanical work. He also stated Tri- color was another company to not do business with they also sold bad cars and never wanted to get them fixed up in fact his wife's wrecked SUV was probably on the lot of my car dealership waiting to be sold. He also stated that tri-color old almost a million dollars in fees to pep boys and so they no longer with service their cars. I catch a uber and I leave and I come back once I am sent the text message that my car what's completed with the diagnostic test results. Upon arriving back at pep boys I sat outside for about 15 to 20 minutes looking at my car in the mechanics and no one ever touched it I went back on the inside and I asked my husband if he could step outside and see how far they had before they were putting the car back together or if they were going to fix the car on that day. He came back in about 20 minutes later and stated that I may want it to go and talk to the guy at the counter as the mechanic told him they were not working on the car as the store manager Sean told them not to that they had to find the part first and get the okay from MEI/Automax in order to fix the car. I then approached the counter and off top Sean was very dismissive to me stating I'm still working on it very aggressively I then stated to Sean that I had a question on if the car was being fixed or not because the mechanic stated that it was not. He stated he was trying to locate the part but he was not able to, as pep boys doesn't carry it and he has exhausted his search via internet. I then asked Sean if I should come back tomorrow. Sean then stated yes but I cannot find the part so I don't know when and if we'll be able to fix it. I then stated to Sean well is it possible I take the car with me since you cannot find the part anywhere and you can still send the estimate to the dealership once you do. Sean because angry and stomped off. I then told my husband to go outside with Sean and the mechanic so that they all could be on the same page. Sean then came back inside and stated we could take the car. I then asked Sean for a number for his manager. He stated I will give him your contact information. I stated well I would prefer to contact him. He then stated well I don't know if he wants me to give out his number...he walked off and came back and gave me his business card with the number 1800pepboys written on it and stated his boss directed him to give me the card instead. I called and made a complaint as I walked out. Later that night my car salesman text and States Sean said I was rude and impatient (I'm the same person Sean was okay with venting to..soon as he's upset..he begin to speak bad about me. I then advised the car salesman I could say the same thing to him..Sean has a history of bad mouthing people. I then make contact with corporate again to add to my complaint. I was told twice the area manager was going to call me back. He did not, yet replied to the complaint as if he did stating I was upset over the "time" which was very incorrect. All about the things above. I then called the 1800 again ths am as my car dealership was able to send the part to Waco for themm to repair the car. I'm still having the same issues and same dash lights. And the manager hasn't gotten back to me. A kid at the 800 number stated the Area manager, regional manager and general manager are all the same people and there was no where else I could file a complaint.

Avoid this place at all costs. They are complete scam artists and thieves. I took vehicle in to have some work done. Check engine light came on immediately after picking vehicle up. So they told me to bring it back for no cost diagnostic because I have an extended warranty. However, they call after doing said diagnostic to say that they couldn't fix the issue and I needed to pay $100 to pick up the car. Warranty company is opening a dispute against Shawn and Gab at this location because they are pocketing illegitimate fees. Don't be the next victim.
