I had an issue with another shop and Austin was able to diagnose and get the car back on the road again. He is very down to Earth and talks to me like a person and not a business transaction. I ve been to a few shops with my big turbo build and I have never felt as a customer but more of a transaction. At six star I had lots of questions and Austin was able to answer them and put my mind at ease. I drove 3 hours to that ship and will definitely go back in the future if needed.Update: so the car is making 40lbs of boost and over 700 and I could push it more but rather not. Austin did an amazing job and attention to detail so big or small job he s got you.

Austin provided a second opinion on a fix which saved me over $6000!! The Subaru dealership had misdiagnosed my car s issue. Austin was honest, fast with his responses and fixed what the REAL issue was. He s got a customer for life!

Terrible service, says they re open at 10am but they don t get there until 11am. I made an appointment to get my AC looked at, after waiting for them to show up for an hour I was told I need an appointment after already setting one over the phone 2 days prior. I asked if they could just look my my AC real fast and give me a quote but they refused. I was there promptly at 9:55am, and spoke to the little guy with the napoleon complex.

Decent experience marred by severe oversight. Austin, or whoever serviced my vehicle, had failed to catch issues with my axles and control arms. I d imagine any reputable shop with lift jacks would be able to see an exposed axle, but people make honest mistakes. I called the shop up today and Austin was gracious enough to give me a partial refund on the other maintenance services I had paid for.I d like to recommend this shop, because their maintenance services are a fraction of the price you d pay at a Subaru dealership, but ultimately I d advise newcomers to be wary. I only feel the need to leave this review as this mistake could have ended with an axle blowing off in the middle of the road with me none the wiser. Ownership is personable and I have no complaints on how everything was handled.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

George and Austin helped me with my rear differential on my 2015 wrx after finding out it was going bad when changing out the gear oil. They were very helpful and patient with me after i kept calling them looking for another rear diff making sure I wasn't getting duped trying to buy another one. They made sure I got the best deal for installation and took care of my car like it was their own! Can't express enough to take your car to these guys and their shop! They treat you like family!

I took my 2014 Subaru wrx for a clutch swap and couldn t be happier. Most professional shop I ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They did an amazing job to get my Subie back to me the same day even with things coming up that were unexpected. For any of your Subaru needs I would recommend them 100/100 times. Thank you again for all of your help.

I own a '06 WRX that needed coilovers to be replaced due to the SA pot holes. Quick search led me to this shop and boy you best believe in the 5 stars they earned. First off, the communication and customer service from Austin and George are world class. Especially coming from an auto repair shop is quite unusual. These guys are here for you and your Subaru. Whatever budget you have, they will definitely work with you to reach your goals. Anywhere from monthly maintenance to full on track car builds, these guys can do it with flying colors. They live, eat and breathe Subaru. Don't be shy or intimidated to take your subie there because they will make you feel at home. Literally started off from a house garage building Subarus to this repair shop while still maintaining that humble feeling. 3 weekends in a row, they helped me fix my WRX and now she's been a dream to daily drive again. Give this shop a chance and I promise you won't regret it!

Late last year I had some transmission problems on my Outback and took it to Six Star. We agreed that the best thing to do would be a complete replacement of the transmission. I authorized the work and they went ahead with the job.Once it was done, on the drive out I began to experience extremely heavy wheel-hop, but this time just going in a straight line. I stopped the car immediately and had it towed back to the shop.Six Star Auto informed me that they had ordered a used transmission for a Legacy GT thinking that it would be a direct replacement for the transmission that was in my 11 Outback. I understand that this is normally true with other model years. Unfortunately, in my case, the 11 Outback was a one-off model transmission-wise, and with that came a proprietary rear differential. So, as I gather it, Six Star had put in the wrong transmission in my vehicle and that was why my car was undriveable. They had informed me that it could be fixed by replacing the rear differential with one from a Legacy GT, so that it would match the transmission that now sat in my car.I desperately wanted to have my car back at this point, so we decided to go ahead with the job (keeping in mind that I had trusted the shop to know which transmission was the proper one to replace in my vehicle, and that if they had replaced the transmission with the correct one, we would not be in this situation). They did not charge me for the labor, but they did charge me full-price for the differential. Not but a few months later, my clutch was stuck to the floor completely. I called up Six Star and we talked about a completely clutch replacement since the mileage on the vehicle definitely called for it.They finished the work and I went to pick up my car. On the drive back, I began to hear an incredibly loud grinding noise that was in rhythm with the wheels spinning.I took it back, they fixed that up and did not charge me anything for that. I am still very appreciative of that, and figured it was about time considering the major mistake when they replaced my transmission.Again, within the span of just a few months, the car would not shift into 5th, 6th, or reverse. I had called up Six Star and we agreed that the best thing to do would be a complete replacement of the shifter assembly. I had my car towed yet again to the shop and they did the work. After completion, they tell me that the car is still not shifting correctly and that it would require a new gear select cable. The initial quote for the shifter assembly plus labor was $380. This new situation brought the quote up to $550. Again, desperate to get my car back and thinking that at this point, the shop had exhausted all other options and this would be the fix, I went ahead and authorized the work and they did it.I spoke to Six Star about a week later when they had told me that they were going to go ahead and order both gear select cables, and whether or not we need them and I just don t charge you for the other one, or we don t need them and we return the other one, we will get this done (Austin Sierra) so I said let s get it done! I forget to mention that they have had my car for two months time at this point.Somehow, after being reassured this wouldn't happen, my bill jumped from 550 to 800 dollars.I went to pick up my vehicle and I pulled out of their lot and after being unable to shift into reverse still, I called Austin back. He told me to bring the vehicle back to him so they could take a look. After spending a week and a half in their shop, they were unable to find the reason why my vehicle will no longer shift into reverse. Austin offered to give me back $400 of the money that I paid him for the trouble and basically told me there was nothing they could do.The Subaru Dealership told me that they could not even begin to diagnose the vehicle without charging "open time" due to the mismatched trans, and that Six Star had actually broken a few bolts in the shifter.I now have a daily that doesn't reverse, and has a broken shifter assembly.Service: Transmission

Great little shop with devoted techs. Professional, outstanding, and upfront. A great shop for everything for your Subaru from routine maintenance to speed shop needs. I would check this place out before the stealership prices and support local small businesses.

Probably my 5th time dealing with Austin and 6 star, and other than my car not being fast enough, I have nothing but great things to say about these guys. Honors warranties without question, and solid customer service. Deal with confidence.

I told my girlfriend that I knew a reliable, knowledgeable honest mechanic. The owner Joey has repaired many of my family's cars. She has the same same type toyota as my sister.my girl Mary had 4 warning sensors lighting up on dashboard.. Two were brake warnings and two others from engine sensors. We dropped it of by 830am hoping he could fix everything in one day. He called me up around 3pm and said the cars ready to roll so come on down. He repaired or replaced the ABS SENSOR a fuel and check engine sensor.. Total cost was a relief when he said $125 dollars. I was thinking it was going to be cost much much more. I've taken her corolla there once more for another issue. Repaired properly the first time everytime.

If you own a Subaru you should be taking it to them. Hands down the most honest, hard working automotive techs when it comes to Subarus. If you like Bananas and have a Subaru go see these guys, you won't be disappointed.
