I highly-highly recommend West Erwin Auto Repair. Alan is honest, fair, affordable, and was quick in repairing my AC.Everyone else had a one to two week lead time and a high diagnostic fee- not this shop.Alan saw me the same morning and repaired it quickly. This shop is the BEST in the area.This will be my go to for all my vehicle repairs.

Needed AC repair done on my Dodge neon...assumed it was the compressor ..call for a estimate..was quoted around 600.00 dollars..after inspection of the vehicle..Allen discovered that it was only the suction line..charge only 290.00 for the repair...very honest business...5stars

They have been taking great care of my family's cars since 2001. My wife took her Honda to the dealer. (She didn't ask me) They said it would be $1,100.00, and also tried to frighten me into having the work done with them. We went to West Erwin instead. Fixed it for $280.00 with no scare tactics. Awesome. Alan is a good mechanic, honest, and he won't do stuff that doesn't need to be done. He has literally saved me thousands over the last couple of years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. You might have to wait a couple of days because people know he is honest, but it's worth it. Appreciate you Alan, you too George.

This is a solid mechanic, and he knows his strengths- no automatics here only standard trans whooohooo! Thank you for taking care of my dual clutch to the extent you did, next time I need service on the 4 speed it s all you!

I've been going here ever since I moved to Tyler about 5 years ago. These guys are exceptional at what they do and I feel very safe driving down the road, knowing I had them work on em correctly. Please go here for all your car needs you won't regret it!

Alan told me he would have my car done that day and that is what he did. No extra fluff, no hassle. He even fixed something that i didn t know about that was left undone by the last mechanic. For major work I m no longer going to anybody else.

If we could give 0 stars we would. We originally brought our 2000 Toyota Camry in to have a diagnostic test done. Our car was making a weird noise and had no get up and go. They did the test and told us we needed a new thermostat and a new intake nose. They were pretty sure this was the cause and would fix the problem. They gave us an estimate of $300-$350 . They didnt charge us the $45 fee for the diagnostic test. They said since we planned on having them do the repair they would not accept it. They said they would shop around to get us a better price for a intake hose since it was quoted $152 and they were pretty sure they could get thermostat with no problem. They could not find a intake hose under $150 . We waited a least a week and a half to get a difinite answer. And never heard back unless i called them. Which i did at least once a week. They claimed they had been busy so thats why they took so long to check. We finally told them just order the intake hose and get new thermostat. I showed up on time i set up with them to bring car in and waited a hr before they pulled in into the garage. The repair took at least 2 and a half to 3 hrs. When they estaminated 1 hr to 1hr and a half. Then I was showed the work that was done and then they said theres good news and bad news. Good news they fixed some wire that needed to be replaced for free and the bad news is the timing belt sounds worn and that's what the clicking sound is and it was a matter of time before it breaks. He listened to car originally when we had it tested and i just cant believe he didnt notice this until the repair was being done. He estaminated timing belt and water pump repair total cost would be around $650 . So we decided to call around Tyler area and get more quotes. We called about 5 places and got estaminates between $650-$975 We ended up taking it to our old machanic in Longview so we ended up being quoted $375. We took car to him and he said intake hose was barely on. So he fixed it . So i called the machanic and he said he put the hose on tight and our machanic was blowing smoke out his a** and didnt know what he was talking about. We would not recommend West Erwin Auto to anyone. You will have to be patient. Their customer service needs to improve and how they better treat their customers!

Ladies, finally a mechanic that not only doesn't cheat you, but shows you what is being done and explains it! Let me watch every step of the way. Prices were super reasonable and no wasted time. I recommend it for everyone!

Was going to charge a lot for a part that had nothing to do with the problem. Took somewhere else and it was just a dirty sensor. Fixed for free.
