I've been bringing my '98 Saturn to Stewarts for about 10 years and they have always been so kind and thoughtful with my old car and this old lady. I highly recommend them to my friends. This visit was sort of a mixup but in the end they stepped forward and fixed the issues right away. Even remembered to keep my driver's seat way back since I have very long legs that don't always fit under the steering column.

The A/C wasn't working in my car, and Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive was recommended to me. They were very fast, and extremely friendly. I mainly interacted with Gary. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very fun to talk to. I will recommend this place to all friends and family for any automotive needs!

Customer service of the kind I received at Donnybrook is rare these days. I live in Houston, but my adult daughter, who also lives in Houston, called me from Tyler to tell me her car wouldn't run, so she had left it at a convenience store and taken an Uber to her destination (heading to hospital where a friend was having surgery). I got on Google Maps to find the store where her car was, then looked for nearby auto repair shops. Jackpot! Donnybrook Automotive was nearby and had excellent reviews. BUT, it was late. Luckily, Donnybrook lists an after-hours telephone number on their website, and when I called, the owner, Gary Stewart, answered! I explained my complicated situation, and Gary took it all in stride. He put me in touch with a reliable local towing service that picked up my daughter's car (without her having to be there), took it to the shop, and left the keys in the Night Drop. The next morning, Dean called me and explained the car's problems in detail, putting me at ease with his obvious expertise. That afternoon, Debbie (I think) called to tell me the car was ready. I was even able to pay the very reasonable bill over the phone so my daughter wouldn't have to worry about it. Crisis averted, and Daddy looks like a hero!Donnybrook Automotive is so good, it makes me wish I still lived near Tyler so I could take my cars there!

I needed a fuel pump placement and had originally gone to another shop in town and got estimated $$$$$ so I started looking at other shops for comparison and what do you know, they were price gouging me by a landslide. I called and spoke to Gary at Stewart s and he gave me a fair and quick estimate that was much much more affordable and he had the work done pretty quickly too. I m extremely happy I called this shop and now have an automatic goto shop should I ever need it again. Thank you!

I have used Stewart s for the last few years. They have always been knowledgeable and honest. As a woman I really appreciate the fact that they do not talk down to me or try to sell me things I do not need. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. On my last oil change, Gary spotted something that if left unattended would have been a very expensive repair. He was able to repair it for almost nothing, because they care and pay attention. On my most recent repair, they were able to offer me an affordable option to replacing an expensive part. If there is a way for them to save you money without compromising your safety, they will do it. You can tell, they truly care. Thank you Gary, Dean & Debbie!

Gary was able to diagnose my car when other mechanics couldn t. That in itself was a huge relief. He worked my car in quickly knowing I travel for work. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly and professional. I will use him in the future for all my care care needs.

I have only ever had pleasant experiences with Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive. Gary & Donny are amazing ambassadors for their business, and the mechanics are top-notch. If there is a service they don't offer, they will provide you with someone they would only personally use. Cannot say enough how much I enjoy doing business with them.

Just after leaving my house, my 2006 Toyota Corolla decided to go on the fritz. The gear shifter was just sliding and the car was stuck in park. After manually getting into drive, I drove it over to the trustworthy people at Stewart s Donnybrook Automative. My car has over 400,000 miles on it and a ton of problems! I asked them to please ignore those and only get the gear shifter working. I had no doubts about trusting them. I have taken my vehicles to them on 2 other occasions. On both of those instances, they provided me with answers/solutions to my problems at no charge! Because of this, I knew they couldn t be trusted to get my old hunk of chunk going again without trying to upsale me on a ton of other fixes. Sure enough a few hours later I get a call telling me the problem was fixed and it was only $135. I told them anytime something goes wrong with this car my mind immediately starts telling me it s time for the scrap yard! Gary assured me not to give up on it until I bring it to them! He has been fair and honest in the past and today was absolutely no different. I absolutely recommend them to anyone with vehicle issues! Thanks Gary!

Dean was great as always, fixed my truck for a fair price and was honest about what I should and should not do now instead of just finding as many things to change for as possible. This is why I always go here!

Take your money and don't fix your car. 2 different vehicles I've put in that shop, charged over $4,000, and came out with more problems than when I dropped them off! Total con-artist. They replace parts and don't know how to actually fix a car! Don't take you're vehicles there unless you wanna get ripped off!

Gary Stewart has always done great work on our vehicles so when an essential home system failed in 108-degree heat on a Saturday night, I asked Gary who he thought I should call. Even though it was not an automotive related issue, Gary did not hesitate to recommend someone to me, and after calling who he had suggested, we were back to cool runnings before early church on Sunday morning. Thank You Gary Stewart! Good reliable advice is hard to come by in times like these.

They are wonderful here! I have been looking for a mechanic that is honest, knowledgeable and treats me with respect. They have won my business! They let me know how long it would take to diagnose and give me an estimate. They called me before doing any work. My bill was detailed and exactly what they quoted me. They take the time to answer my questions. I am so grateful to have found my go-to mechanic. Thank you for taking care if my Tahoe!

Gary and Dean are terrific! We have been taking our cars to them for years, and they have been trustworthy and have provided excellent care for our vehicles. Several times, I have taken one of our cars in due to a noise or some other question, and they have sent me home assuring me that it is nothing to worry about. They treat their customers the way they would want to be treated. You will not regret seeking automotive service from these East Texas brothers!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful this place is. Had a gear shift mess up on me. With a contract with Crow, towing was seamless. The fix was apparently easy and in the process they saved me money. Not only were things explained to me in human terms, but they went out of their way to be friendly. No car trouble is fun, but when you can drop your car off and not worry that is going to be fixed, well piece of mind is worth gold to me. 150% recommend this place!

My car wouldn't start randomly. Still not 100% sure why, but the Stewarts got me running again in less than 24 hours. Love this place! Keep making commercials! You can see them over at Grand Slam before any movie. My favorite!

This is my "go to" place for auto repair. More knowledgeable than most of the dealerships. One of the last true honest auto repair shops around. Great communication & always tell you their options. My highest recommendation!

Fantastic service!!!! I went here based on a word of mouth recommendation. As soon as I walked in, a woman sitting in the waiting area was telling me how she d used them for over twenty years and that they d always been there to take care of her. I d taken my car to a previous automotive shop that hadn t been able to find what was wrong with my car, which was worn down brake pads and warped rotors. Within a few hours (even without an appointment), Stewart s was able to tell me what was wrong and ordered the best value parts they could which arrived the next day, even with all of the part shortages. When I went to pick up the car, the battery wouldn t work it was about four years old and had chosen that time to give out. They charged it up and replaced the battery within 10-20 minutes and didn t charge me for labor. Both owners were very congenial and they even shared some of the fudge another customer had dropped off for them while I was waiting. I ll definitely be going to them in the future and telling all my friends about their service!Services: Brake service & repair, Battery

I have no idea how they have so many stars I consider myself a pretty patient person I would definitely not consider them patient at all. The woman who works at front office is always snippy and I tried to understand that she s probably just busy, and both gentlemen argued with me and were acting offended and all I was asking was just regular questions they insinuated that I sounded like I breathe like I was irritated or something over the phone it was the most drama I ve ever experienced from a company. Today was the last straw I was gonna still give them a shot hoping that maybe they just had a rough day and she was rude to me again I really don t understand how they have all these stars try give them a call and I m sure you ll see. I don t even leave reviews for people I usually don t have time but it s worth my time to share I just am in shock at the treatment I received I was going to take my car there even after the drama but in this morning she was jumping on me saying she had other customers and I was literally on the phone for maybe less than a minute with her.

Dean & Gary won't let you drive away unless your car is completely safe. Very affordable. We are so lucky to have them in our home town of Tyler!

Being from DFW and now as a new resident to the area, I needed to find a car repair shop in town that I could trust - I certainly found that here with Stewart Donnybrook Auto!! Gary and Dean took the time to talk to me about the issue with my car, went over what they needed to do, and let me know if there was a change in the plan, which made me feel at ease.I had gone to another shop in town, but felt I needed to get another opinion. I was so very happy I was told about them and I did. Not only do they treat you like a longtime friend, they also helped me save money, which is such a blessing! I cannot sing their praises enough....talk about the gold standard of customer service....this is the place! From the minute I arrived for them to take my car in while speaking with one of the guys, to the minute I left after getting my very much missed A/C fixed, I was very impressed with everyone I spoke to. They are the best in the business as far as I am concerned! Will definitely recommend them to everyone!! Thank you to all of you at Stewart Donnybrook Auto for being so awesome and I appreciate your help so very much!

I was a first time customer, but I was treated like a longtime, valued customer. Dean and his staff were friendly and they're knowledge was evident throughout conversations about what needed to be done. On top of doing a great job on the issue I brought my vehicle in for, they fixed an issue with the door hinges and showed me what they did (I knew there was something wrong with one door, but thought it was something else). They did this for free just because they knew it needed to be done. I'm very happy with the service I received and this will now be my regular shop.

A wonderful and comforting experience from start to finish. The entire crew at Stewart s Automotive are so incredibly kind and their work is top notch. I called concerning issues with my engine temperature and Gary took a look at my car and found out that my radiator was causing all of my issues. He explained everything thoroughly and worked with me on a payment, which I am eternally grateful for as this was a completely unexpected issue that popped up 2 days after Christmas. I have never experienced such excellent customer service from an auto shop and although this was my first time at Stewart s Automotive, it certainly won t be my last. I plan to go to them for any issues that may pop up in the future and for all my car maintenance needs. I can t stop singing the praises of Sharon and Gary and everyone at Stewart s! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a hometown feel with outstanding service. Thank y all again so much!

I really have mixed reviews about this place because the mechanics are good at what they do but it comes at a price. To give you an example my F150 key ignition was loose and I decided to get a new one after viewing YouTube videos on how to do it I was convinced it was simple. Long story short I messed it up and decided to go to Stewart's place for help. Well the mechanic got it working but all he did was fiddle around with the old one then went and bought a new one and the total bill cost 200 dollars. I thought that was a lot but I did not argue with that but after thinking about it I wondered if I got had. To me I am not sure about them. If I needed to go back I would ask how much it would cost before giving them my keys. Also I think all the pumps for gas are all cash only.

Gary and Dean never fail to disappoint! I've been coming here for years and with multiple vehicles. I needed to replace a part and the dealership said it was backordered (like most things from COVID) and to just order and wait. I tried to find online but kept running into dead ends. Dean went to work and found one in Tennessee! He jumped on it and had it overnighted. These guys go the extra mile! The friendly atmostphere as soon as you walk in is a bonus! They always go out of their way to say hi. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Way over priced, & not willing to work with you, same prices as dealershipsI reviewed your insulting response to my review; however I have been in to your locating two separate times regarding two separate vehicles. I was under a different name because I have since recently married. All information I provided is concise & true. I am not looking to ruin anyone's business whatsoever, I have a large google presence in followers; the record will show I don't hardly give bad reviews.Shame on you for not being the bigger man in my respect. I was offended & that's all that should matter at this point! Based on your response you wished evil on me for exposing you, this just goes to show the character of who you are as a business owner.
