Im a 100% disabled Veteran on a fixed income. I Have a 03 gmc dually that had been sitting for 4 years. The gauge cluster, radio, ac and some of the exterior marker.lights weren't working and the batteries werent holding charge. Truck.still.ran great just electrical issues. Took it to Sammy's Automotive in Tyler. We spoke multiple times on the phone and I relayed every time that my budget was $2k and I couldn't go.over that. After a month he said he couldn't fix the radio or ac unless he went over the 2k. I told him that's all I have so dont worry about the radio or ac. He told me I was at 1800 and it just lacked a couple.side marker.lights working and license plate light. I asked if he could get an inspection on it as well and he said he can and with everything it would be $2k exactly. The truck.was up there over two months and he kept telling me end of the week for the last 3 weeks. Come yo find out he had parked it and hadn't been working on it. Finally.got.him to finish it up.this week. He called me this.morning and said it's ready and the total.is $2500. I was speechless. I told him my budget was $2k and reminded him we had discussed that multiple times. He said he knows but that what the bill was. He then said, " I can go.out there and rip out the wiring I did or remove the batteries I installed if you want it at 2k. I went to pick it.up and paid, got the.receipt. after that I simply told him that I wasn't happy with the overcharge and that when a certain amount is discussed that someone can't go over then he should stick with that amount. He said "it.sounds like you just are not appreciative of the work.i did on that truck". I told him that no, I am not when I'm told I owe 500 more than we agreed and that I had.told him multiple times I can't go.over. the guy started screaming and cussing at me and flipping me off and told me to get off his property and never come back.. after that I screemed and cussed back at him.. But, I was asked to leave his property and wasn't about to trespass so I left. And, he didn't even do the inspection.This was the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic and I finally understand all the stuff ive heard in the past about scummy mechanics.EDIT- the reply below is a blatant lie. Check out all the 1 star reviews. I wish I had before the truck was taken here. I was told by himself that he would stay under $2k multiple times. When I picked the truck up, I didn't yell or even say a.word.until after.i had paid the bill. Sammy started yelling cussing and.flipping me.off and a lady who.worked there tried.to calm him down and he.shoved her out.of the way and screamed at her.to stay out.of.it. I am a retired, 100% disabled Chief Warrant Officer 2 with the Army.

they fixed our Hyundai Santa Fe.it is purring like a kitten,they are extra nice.very professional,highly recommend them.

Excellent, Fair, and Fast service from Sammy. I've been to dealership after dealership looking for good and fast service and I have never gotten the service that I received from Sammy's at any dealership. I will be going back. I will keep recommending Sammy's, and I trust him and his techs to work on my next vehicle. 10/10 the very best service I've had in a very long time in Tyler from an automotive shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Have carried my 2009 dodge truck here on several occasions...brakes, a/c work and computer problems. They are fast and reasonable price. I would recommend Sammy's automotive in a heart beat to anyone.

Sammy did a great job on my minivan. Has all the equipment to diagnose problems. He and his crew are very friendly and explained the work needed in terms I could understand

Great service, techs are knowledgeable. Got my full ac system replaced in 2 days, had a problem with my radiator during the install and was fully reimbursed. Hands down the only shop I will use

Dealership estimated repairs to be 16,000$ Sammy s auto shop we re able to find and fix the real problem and it came up to a very manageable 1,500 10/10

Bad experience don t recommend it will guess after charging you for the diagnostic and expecting you to pay em even when the vehicle is not running..2,000 was lost for nothing on my vehicle and still not running...y all watch out!.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Llebe mi carro para que le compusieran la computadora y cuando me llamo el senor me dijo que nesecitaba los rotos Y los frenos tambien que se los cambiaran como lo nesesitaba yo se que soy mujer y no pueden aser eso. Le dije a mi esposo y mi esposo me dijo que el se los cambio y no nesecitaba la senora que estaba en la oficina se enojo conmigo cuando le dije que estaba mi esposo en el telefono para que le explicaran de lo que le hisieron ahora no les quise pagar por esos reparros y me dijeron que no me podia llavar mi carro. Mi esposo tubo que salirse del trabajo para benir hablar con el dueno. Nunca llego el dueno y hablo mi esposo con Joe y lo dejo llevarse el carro mi esposo perdio su dia y les dijo que le poniera los rotos y frenos que tienia mi carro.
