This is the place to go for your car if you are looking for honest and professional customer service! My husband and I went there because our car would not turn on and the battery had to be jumped every time. Someone else told us we had to replace the alternator which was expensive. We came to Pepboys and the first question they asked us was what model and year was our car (Honda 2016) and they said oh it is not the alternator! Not with this type of cars!! They assured us it was the battery! They didn t pushed us to buy the battery from them! We purchased it somewhere else and our car turned on perfectly!! And the Pepboys gentlemen didn t charge us for the advice!! Excellent service!!

I would not recommend this location at all!I brought my car in when the engine light came on. I paid almost $2,000 in getting it fixed. I drove off and a few days later it came back on again. I called and told them and took my car back in. They kept my car for almost a week to tell me that nothing was wrong with it and that it was a recall and to drive with the check engine light on. Something about that didn t seem right so I went to the dealership and they told me that there is no recall for my car. I then went to take it to pep boys again and same thing they said it was just a recall and to keep driving it. So I drove it for a few more weeks and then it started to make a weird noise. I then again took it to Pep boys to get looked at and this time they told they couldn t tell me what was wrong and it needed to be taken to a specialized mechanic. I did that and was told that my engine was about to go out cause the problem was never fixed and I continued to drive it like Pep boys told me to. I called Pep boys asking for a refund since they never fixed the problem in my car and a manger agreed to start that process. Then a few weeks went by and I heard nothing so I called back and was told that manager no longer works there and the new manager told me he will not be reaching out to corporate to issue the refund as it is not going to get approved. I honestly would not recommend anyone to this location and wish I wouldn t haven taken my car there in the first place.

The customer service is excellent. My tire was flat and still under warranty. The shop replaced and balanced the tire. We were out of there in 15 minutes.

Service is a little pricey compared to some others, but they communicated well and worked with me. My only gripe is my original appointment could not be honored because there was only a tire guy working that day, and I only found out when I arrived.

Thanks to Aziz at the front desk for checking me in and getting me situated. He provided excellent customer service and told me everything I needed to know on how to get my check engine light off. Also thanks to Chris, the Pep Boys mechanic, who looks at my car and gave me a thorough diagnostic on my vehicle. It s really hard to find a good mechanic shop in this world, and Pep Boys in Tyler (TX) was the best mechanic shop I been to in a long time. They get the job done and take care of you. Thanks again guys. Also, lastly thanks to LAX, the Pep Boys associate I talked to over the phone. He was very helpful as well! I ll definitely be back again in the future if I have another problem with my car.

Assistant Manager was awesome.He got the truck in the bay and worked with us since we still had 800 miles left to go on our trip. Tech was super slow and did everything but work on the truck. All we needed was 2 new tires. The truck sat in the bay for almost 2 hours and the mechanic probably got his steps on his Fitbit. Lol He probably walked a mile back forth from the front office to the truck stopping and talking to everyone along his path and probably 250 trips to the toolboxes.

Be careful with the services you recieved here. I return within 10 minutes of pucking up my vehicle the reading indicated tire issues. Upon return service guy Jason aired all four tires up and told me that I had to drive it a while for tire notification be reset. That didn't happened. Return next day car breaks was making a gushing and grinding sounds that even trying stopped the vehicle was a problem. I made it there trying to avoid hitting anyone. The manager Ekin and the other mechanic was so concerned that I could lost my life because the mechanic Jason failed to screw all that was needed to secured my tires. I am very appreciative for the manager and the mechanic that worked on Wednesday morning opened up on time and I could see and examine my car on site. These two guy's needed be honored for acknowledgment and correcting the problems that was done the day before. Both men were very professional that I felt that I wasn't going be taken advantage and I was getting the problems resolved.

At first I gave a good rating but then when I ended up having 2 different tires in which 3 are the same brand but all same size tire. I was told the truck would deliver end of the week and my fourth tire that I had already paid for would come in so I went by there on the following Monday but the truck didn't come in but would be there that day. They had all my information and was suppose to call me never heard from them. So needless to say I will not be going back to Pep Boys at all. Very disappointed at this point.

Brought my daughters car in for an a/c diagnostic and told me it was a shredder valve leaking and added 5 cans of Freon to her car, because since the valve was leaking we needed more Freon in they quoted me $417 dollars to fix it so I said I would come back and get it done. Had a second opinion today and he checked our Freon and it was way over full so they let some Freon out and got our numbers to where they need to be and the shredder valves are not even bad. After letting some Freon out her car is back to blowing cold. So glad I got a second opinion or I would have been out $417 bucks and a vehicle that wasn t fixed. Also I m glad it didn t mess up my compressor having that much Freon in it. Don t trust these peoples word. Always get a second opinion but the guy working the front was very nice and friendly.

Very professional and polite. Very knowledgeable and helpful explained clearly. I am convinced that I will return for any future work. I have only 1issue. They have no water for customers, not even a vending machine.

So in January I went in and took my wife s car to get the ignition coil pack and the spark plugs replaced. Well the car was running just fine for four months and then the problems started happening again. Well I took my wife s in today and they replaced the parts they originally put on for absolutely free. Thank you guys for being honest and fixing the problem that we originally paid for. Definitely will be taking any future car problems to you guys for being so honest and dependable.

I came in 5/28/23 to have a free inspection done on my truck. I told them I believed my rear driver side bearing was out because it was making a noise. They walked me to my car did a quick walk around and said I can guarantee you I know what your problem is. Supposedly it was my brakes were slapped on . They told me they would take it for a spin and do a more thorough check up if I left it with them and came back in a little bit. Left it with them and came back 4 hours later for him to tell me yeah it s the rear brake pads and rotors they need to be changed . They literally tried to charge me like $600 to change to brake pads and rotors lol what.? I told them I d think about it. Left . And did the brakes and rotors myself. There is no way I d let someone do that for $600. Well now that I ve spent $200 on the brakes and rotors they have not fixed my issue. Still sounds the exact same. Never trust what these people say. They will try to make them trust there opinion only to try and make you pay for their overhead and scan the heck out of you.

I usually go to AutoZone next door, although they match prices it is just easier to go to Pepboys to begone with. The parts guy is friendly and very helpful. They were the only ones I could find in town last week with 13" tires I needed the next day. Service was great then two.

I made the mistake of going to a competitor (Firestone). I won t be doing that again. I popped into Pep Boys as a Hail Mary, talked to Tim, and he was incredible. He promised to inspect my car and see if they could complete the work. He then sent me an update with a quote. He was honest about the time it would take. And Jacob (the technician) did a terrific job! Pep Boys has earned my business. Huge thanks to these two gentlemen!

I brought my car for an oil change, then I tried to do the next service by myself founding they put a wrong drain plug that was in really poor condition (rounded)....I ask them to remove the drain plug so I can do the service and replace the drain plug and they offered to do the oil change free, thank you for that but they should put attention so they can avoid this type of issues...

It s very rare in todays world that you can take somebody at their word and not have anything in writing. The Store Tom kept his word on everything he said he would do, it was a long process of getting my truck fixed, with multiple visits, but every time Tom made sure everything went smoothly, and didn t overcharge for parts/labor. The new lead Tech is fantastic too.

Thank you Jacob!I was visiting Tyler over the weekend & when I walked out of my hotel room on a Sunday morning I saw that I had a flat tire. With no spare tire I contacted my Roadside Assistance & had my truck towed. Being originally from Tyler I knew there weren't a lot of options for repairs on a Sunday. I work in the automotive repair industry for CBA in Dallas, & this was the first time I experienced what customers with auto trouble actually go through. Uncertainty, stress, anxiety, cost, down time, etc... Once I saw that Pep Boys was open I called them, because I refuse to go to Firestone. The first blow of relief came after speaking to Jacob, from Pep Boys, on the phone. He assured me that he could get my tire looked at promptly and repaired/replaced quickly. Once I Uber'd to Pep Boys while my truck was being towed I was able to speak with Jacob, discuss my options, & come up with a plan. He listened to my concerns & wants. Once the truck arrived he determined that the tire definitely needed replacement. He then showed me his findings reassuring me that the tire was not repairable. He proceeded to change the tire in the parking lot so my rim didn't get destroyed by pulling it inside the shop. Once he got it mounted he then pulled it up to the shop and torqued my lugs nuts. He was so professional all the way around. From his customer service to his quality of work. Again, I work in the automotive industry so I can greatly appreciate his hard work & the service he provided. Not just getting me back on the road quickly but how relieved he made me feel from the very beginning. I paid my bill & bought him lunch, happily because he deserved it.If you're visiting this location, I strongly recommend Jacob as your Technician/Service Professional.Thanks again!

I took my car for an alignment cause my car had a slight pull to the right. They then told me that they couldn't do an alignment because I had all these suspension issues. Mind you I had just gotten an alignment from them a week and a half ago and got the problems they said were wrong fixed. When I got back in my car my car was not running correctly at all. It was driving way worse than it was when I brought it to them and they said they didn't do anything to it but the man was in the front cussing about something before he brought me my keys. Don't trust these people

Maybe the worst experience I ve had at a tire shop. So much confusion on which tires I had purchased, pretty incompetent worker who joked around too much and was not professional. Made an absolute mess of my wife s car. Also was told that they balanced all of my existing tires, I feel sorry for the technician who did that because after he was finished, the guy who was joking around being unprofessional told him oh sorry, those tires are being replaced with new ones. I won t be going back. There are far too many tires place options in the area to deal with this. Bad experience overall.

Called on 6/28/23 to get a quote on getting my car fixed. ( 3 ingition coil), check the brakes and plugs. The gentleman told me $270.00 parts and labor. THEN today 6/29/23 I brought my car in earlier than my appointment explained to the clerk what I had called on the previous day 9:20AM (YES SIR EVERYTHING IS STILL 270.00)5 hours later I had to call and get an update on my car. Come to find out that WHOMEVER gave me the quote did not put in the right information neither daye and it went from $270.00 to $2000. I don't understand that..Then you're going to charge me $99 for a diagnosticThen when they ran the diagnostic they told me it was the same things that I just told them a day before... SMHNEVER AGAIN!!!

I was checking on the status of my (truck) repair process. I'm not pressed for it. The service manager Roy said it will take a moment to get everything just right. I'm okay with that. Attention to detail is better than a rush job. Everyone is doing an outstanding job!

it was 30 min to close and I had gotten a flat was able to air it up and make it to pep boys and they still provided excellent service. Very quick and friendly!
