My overall experience was great! Richard in sales was easy to work with; he was attentive to my wants/needs for the vehicle I was interested in. The sales manager worked out a good deal in my favor, and the finance manager did a good job explaining the warranty and gave me excellent recommendations. This is the second vehicle I purchased at this dealership.

I had the best experience this week at VW Patterson. Richard was able to show me the car, test drive, and get the process started fairly quickly. The customer service is top tier & Richard truly took care of everything for me! I love my VW & I can t thank the team enough for getting me in my first VW!

I m giving this five star review for Richard Empie. This is my fifth vehicle I have purchased from him in the last decade. From personal vehicles to work trucks. Every time he does his homework for me finds me the best suitable vehicle that fits my needs and always comes through. Just purchased another Nissan Titan from him today. I highly recommend, this gentleman for your vehicle needs.

We spent some time picking the right vehicle for us. Lots of research and visits to different dealerships. Richard was very helpful and did not pressure us as we made our decision.We narrowed our search to two dealerships. The vehicles were close to meeting our needs. The vehicle we chose is not the one we drove home. Why? Richard treated us with respect and was very helpful throughout the process. He made the difference.

Salesperson was fantastic. Finance was great. The wait time wasn t pleasant. Having purchased several new cars, the best experience was having everything completed prior to arrival, signing paperwork, and out the door. This purchase took 3 hours which wasn t ideal. Everything had been completed in plenty of time to have the deal closed. With that being said, I will return to Patterson for future purchases. Just hoping for a quicker close to reduce wait time.

I can't say enough about our experience at Patterson Volkswagen of Tyler. My wife and I had just suffered a very traumatic experience when I was in an accident with our previous car that had been T-boned and thus totaled by the insurance company. We were shopping around several dealers in Dallas-Fort Worth and Tyler since we live in Canton. And my wife finally decided on a Buick Enclave red with the sport touring package. She found one online at CarGurus and it turns out it was listed at another dealer in Victoria Texas that was owned by the Patterson group. The first agent that contacted us said well I'm sorry we share website that vehicle's not located here in Tyler there's not much I can do to help you. And then we received the phone call from Richard Empie at Patterson Volkswagen of Tyler and it was the absolute best experience I could have ever asked for he picked up the ball made arrangements to get the car to Tyler worked out all the details, since this was going to be a Christmas present 37th wedding anniversary present and a birthday present for my wife he went above and beyond the Call of Duty in every way I could have ever hoped for! Richard and I handled the negotiation through text email and phone and it was absolutely seamless and when we picked up the car on December 9th on Saturday it was an absolute Joy and a great experience! I cannot thank Richard enough for everything he did for my wife and myself and making this experience the most joyful and elating experience we've had in buying a car. It was absolutely a dream come true for myself to have this car ready and detailed and a bow on it from the picture that I have attached for my wife to feel very special! Richard alone deserves the five stars for everything he did to make this experience absolutely delightful and I cannot say enough about Richard the dealership that would let him get away would be a fool! Absolute worst service I have ever had! I would rate it zero stars if that was an option. 1 star is overrated! I have bought many cars and have never had an experience like this! We bought a used car for our son 2 months ago and it has been in the shop ever since. Thousands of dollars later, many of which should have been diagnosed during inspection of this vehicle. They were very attentive when buying, but the minute you pull off the lot they wash their hands of you! Todd in service was extremely rude. Sales guy has ghosted us, managers will not talk on the phone, only by email, but will not respond half the time. We are now stuck with a truck that has cost us thousands to fix in just two months. If you are looking for attentive sales guys that can get you in a vehicle quick, this is your place. Just pray once you pull off that lot you have zero issues, because they DO NOT care and their customer service is the worst I have ever seen!!

This is now the second time I have had a problem with this Volkswagen. I drove 45 minutes ** I called at lunch and they said as long as I was here at 4:30 they would get me in. I was in at 4:37 due to there being rain. They could not get me in for an oil change. I will never coming back to here. I ve lived in Georgia and in Nevada and have never had so many problems with a place. Sucks but I ll give my business elsewhere! Was even on the market for a new car. Will skip past this place. Now I m Tyler traffic for nothing! Yay glad I took off work for this. Yes I m very frustrated.

Patterson VW is the place to go! I just purchased a VW Atlas Cross Sport. Richard, Marcus and Greg were so nice and helpful. Answered all my questions, made sure I was knowledgeable about all the features of the vehicle. Called me to check and see how things were going and if I had any more questions. I recommend Patterson if you want a great car buying experience

We had a great salesman by the name of Richard Empie , he helped us find the right vehicle at the right price even though it took a month or so to find that vehicle he stuck with it and delivered what we asked for, so even though we had lost interest in purchasing a new vehicle , we went ahead and bought it, because Richard did his part so well, we wanted to honor this type of salesman. A salesman that helped us and did his Job without pressure and silly sales gimmick games that plague so many other dealerships..The finance manager Did well alsoGetting us in and out in a quick and reasonable amount of time.My experience to this point with Patterson has been Good , even a little higher quality than I had expected. A good portion of that credit belongs with the staff, that began with a good salesperson Mr. Richard Empie..

What an awful experience we've had trying to get PVT Owner and Sales Manager (Dyshan) to do what any decent dealership would do, take care of their customer when they sell cars that need overlooked repairs by their "certified inspection" process. We bought a truck (see Mandy Miles' post) LESS THAN 2 months ago and NOTHING short of issues they should clearly be responsible for, but they they refuse to help out with. Love how the PVT Owner responds with great customer service words like, "excellence, build relationships, trust, and we'll strive to get better". IN THIS CASE, you still can do the right thing since the car isn't fully repaired for 2 more weeks. It's like your company's google mantra of customer service doesn't hold weight when your Used Car Sales Manager Dyshan refuses to respond to your customers and is sitting on at least 2 emails right now for over a week. How is that taking great care of your customer? Maybe you as the owner should take over his email so you can deliver on all this customer service you so desperately act like you provide. We don't want to hear about giving you another chance and hoping to regain trust when you have us still working on this issue. But I guess its easier/cheaper to kick the can and just say "we'll do better next time" vs doing what other legit dealers do and fix the problem now while you still can. Guess we'll see and would love to pull this review and say how well you truly take care of your customers. Thanks for your time PVT Owner and feel free to pass along to your Sales manager Dyshan who doesn't seem to carry out anything you pretend to represent on these google reviews. - Todd

Richard Empie was great. My wife and I had our vehicle in for service and took the opportunity to look at a Golf R to see if it might be a suitable replacement for our 10 year old VW. Richard took the time to show us the car and, when we decided it wasn't right, asked if we had considered an Arteon. We hadn't, but even though we were not intending to buy, just looking, we now own a new Arteon. We took a lot of time to decide and Richard was very patient. He never tried to sell us anything, only helped us buy. Finance was great too. Thank you Richard!

RICHARD OUR SALES MAN WAS THE BEST. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.IF WE HAD WENT TO THE FINANCE OFFICE FIRST WE WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED. HE RUINED OUR WHOLE EXPERIENCE OF BUYING THE NEW CAR. HE WAS VERY RUDE AND PUT OUT AFTER REFUSED HIS SALES PITCH FOR ALL THE EXTRA WARRANTIES. IF THE CAR IS NOT WORTH A YEAR THEN I DONT WANT IT.

Jacob was awesome! He did everything he could to find and get us the car we wanted! He got us as much as he could on our trade in too! The finance guy did all he could to get our payments where we wanted, so we could walk away with our new suv! Even the final stretch of signing papers was awesome! He gave us the best deals for all the extras! Definitely recommended and highly appreciate their efforts and hard work!!!!

Bought a brand new Volkswagon Taos here. One of the doors rattles with back wave from the speakers. Some of the team was unsure who to ask or send me to fix this. One of them said they wouldn't help at all.I was directed to the wrong Call number, which in turn escalated my situation further than it had to be. After multiple days of calling different people and eventually having to speak to VW customer care. They agreed to work with me and fix the Back wave coming through the speaker housing rattling the door.Overall they worked with me on my issue, my review would be 5 stars if I wasn't redirected to 3-5 different people before the dealership finally agreed to fix my issue, that could have been resolved the day I took it in for the specific problem.The majority of the team was down to earth and willing to work with me. However lack of knowledge, or experience for who I should have talked to about fixing this I believe was the downfall here. Seeing as my issue could have been solved the original day I took it in for service, instead of a week, and 5 phone calls to different levels of the company later.

A year ago I purchased a 2022 VW Atlas at Patterson VW in Tyler. For several months there has been a very loud screeching sound and grinding vibration when you use the brakes. I have brought the car in twice and have been told it s probably just condensation and it s typically weather dependent(even though it happens at all times of day and night and regardless of the weather). They say the pads are at 70% and the braking system checked out fine. Driving the car, anyone can tell there is something very wrong. We have received multiple calls from the sales team because we looked at cars on their lot a while back before our issues, but they ve never called about our brake problems. If you are looking for an eager sales team, Patterson is the place, if you are looking for solid customer service after purchase, I d recommend elsewhere.

Compared to several other dealerships that I contacted about my vehicle problems, they not only wanted to help me, they went the extra mile to keep me informed and made me feel like they had my best interest in mind. I appreciate that and was pleased that I was able to get the necessary work done in Tyler, even with the fact that I had to truck transport my vehicle there from West Monroe, Louisiana. I would recommend their service department to anyone. Thank you.

My wife brought her 2021 Tiguan in on Thursday to have the oil changed and for you to investigate a grinding noise when brakes were applied. You found no issues with the brakes, when I got home I found a brake rotor to be metal on metal with the brake pad.

The service went fine. I would have given 5 stars if I was not waiting so long. I waited over 3 hours for an oil change, tires, and alignment. All services at this location seem to take a very long time - even with an appointment.

I waited almost 3 hours for an oil change and to check a fuse. The fuse was never checked. Two days later my car quit at a car wash being due to the battery being completely drained.

Wasn't really going to trade-in my vehicle, but told the salesman what I wanted & what I expected, & to my surprise he came thru on both my expectations & what I was looking for. We told them the right front brake was dragging and they responded with "excessive brake dust, we cleaned it off" we were preparing for a long trip so I ended up changing the pads myself. Backside pad was down to the metal. Thanks VW

I felt they had changed their procedure, since previously I had driven up and been met at the entrance while I was in the car to determine what I needed. I had to go inside to get help this time, and there was no signage to help me navigate that process. That said, once inside I was very pleased with the interaction and felt I was handled in a courteous and timely manner.
