Have a situation where you bought a part for your car and need a mechanic to put it on or replace part? Herr is your place. Great Customer service and very informative. Brad helped us and even found a new customer discount after hearing our situation to replace a faulty alternator. Not easy to find with GPS. They are behind the Colony Cafe if that helps. They offer nice warranties on parts and helps in most situations where other mechanics won't as most franchise mechanic shops will only sell you their parts and not assist in putting on or replacing a part you bought from autozone or O'Reilly. They will do it here and that is the reason why they keep loyal customers coming back.

Please read all++++Old management review got one starCharging me $500 to just to diagnose /look at a transmission... Told me it would be used towards the next transmission I bought... I ended up taking my vehicle to the Ford dealership imagine how they are so much cheaper than you are You quoted me $5,000 for a new transmission when all it was is the clutch for $1,500 wow.... I will not be coming back here again. You deleted my last review. I will keep posting.This was last year under old management.There is New Management Rich and Dave!They are awesome. They go above and beyond to make sure your issues get fixed.They deserve 5 stars. Straight to the point no confusion. I guarantee you will leave happy. Definitely love this New team. I had my vehicle inspection done at Dave's in The Colony, TX. They were so nice. And I love the fact that they called me a few days afterward to say, "Thank you for the business!" True professionals!

Just got my car checked and fixed at David's Automotive Repair in The Colony, and I can assure you that that's where you wanna go if you don't want to get ripped off by the dealerships or Midas and all those big repairs shops.Good service at cheap price in minute. Take a tour, you won't regret it.

I can say this with all confidence from both turning a wrench and having one turned for me. David's automotive repair is far superior to any shop I have found in the area. They warranty their work extremely well and they are very efficient. The most important thing about my experience was I felt like I was at home. Some of the nicest folks you will meet.

Best Automotive car repair shop I've dealt with. I take all my vehicles to David's Automobile for maintenance and issues and have always left satisfied. Staff is friendly as well. Rich is great at helping you through the process and explains everything well. They also provide convenient shuttle home if needed. I wouldn't take me vehicle anywhere else.

I stumbled upon David s recently and I ve been so happy to find them! I have 4 work trucks and they have taken care of two of them so far. One was a planned visit and the other was unplanned- they re fast and thorough and got me back on the road so fast it made my head spin.Thank y all so much!! I took my truck to David's (45 miles from home) because my daughter took her car there for repairs. She told me they were honest,professional and performed the work and only the work needed with her car being ready when they said it would be ready.My truck needed extensive front end repairs plus much more. They provided me with a digital vehicle inspection with NEEDED repairs along with suggested repairs that could be done later. I found the DVI quite helpful for planning purposes and also educational. David's communication was exceptional keeping me informed throughout the process. From the managers to the mechanics, these folks delivered what they promised and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. My truck had a squeaky noise coming from the back end of it. Had that problem for a few weeks and naturally, when I took it in, it went away. The mechanics still looked at it and at the end didn t charge me a dime. Very respectful and fantastic customer service. Will be my regular place from now on

Don t trust these people. I went to get an inspection on my vehicle and they told me it would be approximately two hours. I said OK no problem. Can I just make an appointment for two hours and come back. They said it was against the law to make an appointment to get your car inspected. They just wanted me to wait there for two hours. I checked with other Automotive companies, and there is no such law. They should have just told me the truth and said please come back in a couple of hours. I don t know why they had to lie.

Best car repair experience I ve ever had! Didn t realize this level of customer service existed outside Chick-fil-A! Brad communicated along every step of the process. I knew exactly what was going on the entire time. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of car repair, regardless of where you live in the metroplex.

Went for my yearly inspection as a 1st time customer. The gentleman behind the counter educated me on how dodge is Dodge and Ram is Ram. It s no longer Dodge Ram. That was interesting. Excellent people and services.Initially I had my concerns after the repair. David s called me and helped me to take care of concerns.The work done by them is of best quality. And they treated me very nice.It s rare these days that auto shop goes out of their way to make you satisfied. And this auto shop did exact that. Went out of their way to fix the car right and that too with awesomeness.

My engine light came on and I thought it was my transmission light. I went to Oreillys to get transmission fluid. They were out of funnels, so the guy sent me to David's. I went in explained my situation and was directed to pull around. Joaquin checked my fluid said it was good. He then checked my engine oil and it was bone dry. He filled it up. Asked me some questions about how my car was running and then suggested I check every 2 weeks. I asked how much I owed and was told nothing. Living in the times we do, to have a business save my car, which I depend on and tell me your good. WoW, mind blowing. Shout out to Joaquin, Cheryl, and Rich. When I need something done in the future, David's Automotive is where I'll be going. Prices for parts are rising and having people you can trust is priceless. Thank you!

I have taken a Nissan Altima and Toyota 4Runner to David s multiple times. They are friendly, fair, and take time to explain things, plus I like supporting local businesses. Definitely reccommend.

Just want to clarify here, in the reply they said they contacted me several times. They never did. No single call from them. Complete lies.=================================================Overrated and overcharged business. Really disappointed and started to question how many good reviews here are real. They charged over 500 to replace EVAP, which is definitely on the high end, but it was fine. They also tried to charge us over $100 to change a windshield wiper(which usually should be $25-$50) and I refused. That was still fine... But from then on, my vehicle started to have a crack sound when I start engine. So we took it back for check, the answer was that they couldn't find anything wrong. That was also fine, but then they forced us to pay $60 for fixing nothing. That was just not fine to me. It's like you go to a restaurant, after paying $100 for a meal, you find a bug inside. You call the chef, they take the meal away and return it back with the same bug inside and charge you another $20 for just looking but did nothing! Ridiculous indeed.

I don t even review much but anyone taking their car here needs to be warned about the incredible premium you pay. Nice people, but over $700 for a diagnosis seems hardly legal. I came in today hoping that David & his team would be able to pin my skid plate back up. They were able to get it taken care of in a timely matter and everyone was SO SWEET! I felt right at home! I came to David s shop because of the awesome reviews & the convenience of opening early & they did not disappoint! They will be my go to shop in the area when I need something done on my car. They seem very trustworthy & knowledgeable. You can t ask for a better group of people!THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!- Morgan

My husband took our car in for an estimate on cost and time to repair yesterday. I have not had many good vehicle repair services experiences over the decades and when I did I/we stuck with them if we were unable to make repairs ourselves. We moved to the area a year and a half ago and needed a new car repair go-to place. They gave a decent cost estimate and took the car in and even gave my husband a ride home and picked him up this morning when it was done! What great customer service and repair services! Feel relieved to have David's nearby now.

These guys were great. Kevin, Adam, Rich, and everyone else I dealt with.I had a transmission issue and had to have it rebuilt. They did it quickly, and the truck is shifting great now.They also gave me a ride home when I dropped it off, and picked me up to get it when it was. Super convenient and really nice guys.I ll stick with this place any time I have issues with my vehicles.

If you are in The Colony or surrounding areas, THIS is the ONLY place you should be taking your car. I have never had a better customer service experience than with Rich and his team of technicians. They were able to get me in immediately day-of and went above and beyond trying to make sure they were keeping me in the loop with budget $ and timeline. Not to mention how caring and sweet they were when I had a mental breakdown over the repairs my car needed. Needless to say, they have found a customer for life with me and my family. OVERCHARGE ! Had a 2015 Jeep w a transmission issue (as the engine light stated) However was charged $700 for a diagnosis and was told another $6000 to repair. He wants to say his experienced ASE technician's ... but come on... thats excessive. Have some feeling for the average customer.

Rich and the team at David s are friendly and pleasant to work with. When what we thought would be a quick and easy fix turned into a 2 month debacle of replacing multiple parts, several trips to the shop, etc, they did not charge me beyond what we originally paid for the work. I appreciate the integrity of the staff at David s Automotive, and would work with them again in future.

These guys are the best! We needed the system in our Volkswagen reset after changing the battery and this was the only shop around who could help. They were very friendly and got me out the door in no time. Plus piper the pug was super cute! Will definitely be back here in the future

I got the windshield water hose replacement and state inspection done today. The entire team of David 's automotive repair has been very nice. They explained every detail about the problem.
