l almost always go to Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Richmond Rd. to get the oil changed in my car. I never have to wait more than about 5 minutes for them to start on my oil. They change the oil quickly and are very courteous and professional. Most of all, they have NEVER pressured me into buying filters, wipers, etc. Many other places have tried to pressure me into buying additional services I do not want. This has never happened to me at Valvoline.

I usually come to Valvoline to get my oil changed, but this experience was just truly exceptional! The staff were very courteous, kind, and quick with service. I would love to give a shout out to Whip and Ayana for their friendly customer, service, and professionalism. Whip who I believe is the manager, took my Groupon and let me know more information about it, because I was skeptical about it in the first place. Whip reassured me that if there was anything that I ever needed that she would be more than happy to help me out. Everyone was so amazing and I just wanted to make sure that all all of you know how great they are so go to Valvoline and get your oil changed!

Went to get my car inspected this morning. Got there at opening. Lady comes out and tells me they do not do inspections till 10:30. They were open and nobody was there. She said they needed to wait for more employees to show up. I kind of got the vibe they are not real interested in doing inspections. I realize this is a low profit item. However, do not advertise that you do them if you are going to turn customers away. Otherwise advertise that you only do them at certain times.

This place is amazing. I didn t even get out of my car. I pulled up at 11:10am and was on my way at 11:30 am. If you need a fast oil change and service, this is the place to go. They did an oil change and my filters for a very reasonable price and honored the coupon you can find on their website. The techs work in a team of 3 or 4 to get you serviced and out the door. My team was Isaac, Sam, Matthew, and Nathan. I was asked to turn on my car to see if there were any leaks and poor Nathan, who was working bottom side, had to deal with me turning on the engine and moving forward. I almost killed him! Or could have. They had a good sense of humor about it but I felt bad. Note: do not pull forward if they tell you to turn on engine! Great customer service and I will be going back to them. They will also clear your oil change warning light. They waved and told me to have a nice day. Hardly anyone does that anymore. Great Job Guys! You are rock stars. Service: Oil change

Visit incurred on 1/19/24I visit this location often due to the quality of customer service and their ability to get the job done in a timely manner. Basic oil change is what I get, I'm not offended if the employee offers to explain any additional services that may be suggested. On this visit, I arrived with two vehicles in bay 1 & and 2, and another's customer was pulling into bay 3. I awaited for the staff to great me and was met by a new employee. He did his job, guided me, and did what was required at the time. I counted 6 employees within sight. The Manger, which on previous occasions is very nice and working with her crew, seemed a little more relaxed in the role that she holds. There was another female for whatever reason told another employee (dressed so warmly that you can only see his eyes no name tag) that she was going to take her time and make him wait to do her job. I waited in bay 4, while bay 1,2,3, received their desired services. Once I waited for an additional 15-20 minutes for them to complete the oil change in bay 3, I was then guided into bay 4. The manager that popped out of nowhere prior to the completion of bay 3's oil change, she scanned my car and proceeded to ask for the desired service. I responded with a basic oil change, and she commented basic oil change and then vanished. I noticed she selected max life oil change and informed the employee (dressed so warmly) that she had made a mistake and that I requested a basic oil change. Before he did his inspection, I informed him that I have a K&N filter and do not require them to remove it and show it to me. The female employee that had earlier commented to another employee she was going to intentionally make wait proceeded to remove my air filter. Then tell me, "I'm not sure what this is. We don't carry this, but this is what it looks like." Then I realized why she wanted me to wait. She had intended on using the oil extraction devise to proceed with my oil change. Luckily, I was paying attention and informed her that was not the service I requested and would like the oil drain from the vehicle by removing the drain plug. After I was given a look of discouragement/disappointment from this female employee, I waited an additional 10-15 minutes for the oil to be drained. To have my favorite female employee use a retrofitted jug labeled synthetic add conventional oil to it. The process of taking an automated device to pour it into a jug that has been labeled appropriately only to disregard what contents it should contain in the service shop blows my mind. Please use the automated pump and dispense the oil directly into the engine to avoid contamination. Then, use the dipstick to check an accurate fluid level. Instead of this jug that has who knows what in it being used to check the accuracy of the automated dispenser. Instead of adding oil the logical way with a device that I'm sure has millions in engineering and research & development, she grabs the jug to only discover now she does not have a funnel. Luckily, the manager dug one out covered in grim and left my imagination to what the inside of that funnel looks like. She added the oil through this dirty funnel (visible mud) and then watched it as she got the lost drop of the mystery jug oil. She proceeds to wipe my driver side fender, headlight, portions of the hood, and front bumper with paper towel that has repeatedly used to check the oil dipstick. Things need to change at this location to prevent someone from an experience like I had to endure. I honestly hope someone from corporate reads the entirety of this and digests the information that was given.

Wonderful experience! I needed to do 2 State Inspections today, I was immediately greeted politely and professionally. Each inspection was quick and thorough and attention was paid to safety without a doubt. Both inspections were done while I was in the car the whole time instead of waiting in a room, only had to get out of car for break test. I highly recommend this place! 2 thumbs up and a well deserved 5 star review!

They couldn't even handle a phone call asking if they could service a 2016 Smart Fortwo- thanks Shay, sincerely because of YOUR incompetence, I was able to find out that Oil Changer on Texas Blvd is AMAZING!! And the 15+ minutes I wasted "on hold" was made up by the speedy service of your replacement!! Thank

This place is the best place to get an oil change!! You stay in your car and just sit tight without having to be in uncomfortable, hard chairs in a stinky waiting room!! Chris greeted me and explained there was a wait that was quite long due to a staff shortage. Well these 3 guys worked like a well oiled machine! (No pun intended!) there were two cars ahead of me in one bay that were getting oil changes and two cars in the next bay, one needed an antifreeze change, the other needed a tire rotation. I ll tell you, I was in the bay being taken care of in no time! Chris was so nice and he was just a knowledgeable and friendly person. He took my information, he asked about services I might require, he inspected everything on my car from the tires up. He topped of all my fluids, and then they changed my oil. They are funny because they yell out their safety checks, Washer fluid cap! Antifreeze cap! Belts good, check! Oil cap! Oil pressure check! All goood! It was like nothing I ve ever seen or heard! It was almost entertaining!! I actually had fun watching and listening to them work on my car!! And when I was done, they triple checked to make sure I did not have and oil leak and made sure I was road-ready once again. It was a little pricey, but I had a coupon for ten bucks off, so I went. I m so glad I did!!! They gave me confidence in their service! I m a fan and customer for life!!

Waited 10 min while the lady doing my inspection jumped from car to car after finishing mine for her to do the wrong printout which wasn't noticed til I went to register car right after that. Came back and waited in line for 30 min while she took her time inspecting car in front if me. Not once did I get out of my car nor did the person getting inspected when I came back and waited for more than 30 min to get a correct printout. Won't ever come back here. This is the one on Richmond road and her name is allyssia Bryan. Very slow. Update, waited 45 min for reprint so far.

Ok so I went over for my usual oil change waited for almost an hour in hot car triple digits had several folks act like they were gonna help me they finally did but were out of stock for the 5th time for my cabin filter. Mostly new help did not really act like they wanted to be bothered. There is a nice manager there that is why I go there. But also tried getting car inspection 6 different times also to No avail. Had to go elsewhere. They been dropping the ball lately.. not to happy with service lately something needs to change.

Do not recommend for inspections. Was told I needed to change my headlights in order to pass inspection. Changed headlights and came back in less than 30 minutes now I m being told I need to change my high beams. Stop playing with people and tell them everything that needs to be done the FIRST time.

BAD service, you keep inside your vehicle, they check everything. I only asked for the cost for the change of oil and filter and they tell me that it will be $ 58.00 plus tax, and in the end I paid $ 79.96 without that they will explain why they raised $ 30.00 more They do not do well not to tell the client because it is adding up more and in the end it only remains to pay for the work they already did. It is a total deception, I will never return and I DO NOT recommend it

Perfect service. On the road from Texas to NC and pulled into this location due to proximity to the interstate. Conner and Whip were extremely professional and very precise. Would yell out confirmation of lights, blinkers, brakes, everything. Very pleased and I would highly recommend this business.

Went here for an oil change and tire rotation. Oil change was a little pricy. They didn't do the tire rotation even though they got the lug nuts of Said they couldn't get the tire off the hub. Went to Samsclub for the rotation. They said they had no problem getting the tires removed.

The stuff and workers are not professionals. During their change of oil filter they touched the touched other part of the van and the van start to make noise. The most import part is that they didn t want take a responsibility. Even though I raised a question they just said that everything is good and the problem is related to the transmission.I took the van to a different person and they have found that they left one of the filters loose.Update: Valvoline s mechanic touched an air filter of my van. There is another mechanic fixed it and they charged $67

Took my vehicle here to get an inspection, I knew everything worked other than my daytime running light and was okay with them changing it HOWEVER! They put the wrong size wiper blade on, and the back one got stuck then they tried to tell me my blinker was out and that s why my running light was out, proved them wrong on that part because it s two separate lights! On top of that they charged me 14.99 for a bulb they didn t put in, I had to go by it myself because they didn t have one! I go here with all 3 of my vehicles for oil changes regularly, but that has now stopped! I will NEVER return to this location! The manager or at least that s what his shirt said was not knowledgeable at all of Texas Vehicle Inspections. This place has forever lost my business! Too many other places that can do a better job!

Disappointed this time. Tried to fill my engine with conventional although I paid for MaxPro. Spilled oil all down the engine then said they were washing the engine down. 10 seconds later they were done running cold water over the engine cover on top. Still have oil dripping in my drive way.Unfortunately I went back for another oil change and inspection but this didn't happen. Since I was getting an inspection I was put to the back of the line and watched 3 vehicles pull in and go ahead of me and another guy being treated the same. Was told they only do inspections when there are no other services needed by others. If other kept pulling in I could have sat there till they closed and never gotten my car serviced. Sure was convenient for years but after these two bad experiences none of my vehicles will be back. Not sure if it's the location or the company.Service: Oil change

I visited this location yesterday to do state inspection and was told the inspector was not in. I was told to come back about same time (3:30 pm) today. I saw the location was not busy when I got there and also checked on line. Again the guy said they can not do inspection now although the inspector was on duty. I told him that this is a second time I am here. I asked for appointment and he said they don t give appointmentsI will not go there again

Unfortunately they weren't able to help me as they only have one state inspector, and that person was ill on the day I came through.

I ve been coming here for 2 years now but that will change! The new manager is very rude and disrespectful! He has no people skills and is a liar! I took my car to get my oil change and they couldn t get the oil filter unscrewed under my car and tried to lie and say it was melted on! I told him that this is the only place I bring my car to. He then tried to lie and tell me my last oil change with them was September 2021 and when I asked for copy of the invoice or receipt he lied and told me I couldn t get it and that I had to call costumer service. I ended finding my receipt and seen that my last oil change was December with FULL SYNTHETIC OIL and I ve only driven it 5k miles from that date! He then tried to lie and tell me that I got my car serviced at Toyota! I called Toyota in front of him and they told him that never got an oil change! And that they will print out my two services! (tire rotation, and broken door handle) I then told him that they did this to my car and that they were going to fix it. He told me to leave! told me it wasn t his problem! I m 9 months pregnant and never have I experienced such rudeness from a manager! I ended going to to Valvoline off state line and was treated with such kindness and sympathy! The manager and staff there went above and beyond. They went to take a look at my car and was told they could take it off which they did! And come to find the employees at this Richmond location left their tool under my car attached to my filter! Which was both dangerous to me and other cars around me! Do not come here! The manager is trash and very rude. He is a liar and will try to blame everything on you! He needs to be fired!! I will be calling costumer service tomorrow to file a complaint! Take your car to Valvoline on State Line!

I just accompanied my friend while she went to get her oil changed today. (Because car maintenance can sometimes be boring!!!) Although at first we were going to just go to a Jiffy Lube, this Valvoline was the first place we saw, so we stopped there for convenience. Upon entering the parking lot we were immediately greeted and taken care of! While an efficient young man, Tazz, was doing the specifics of the oil change, another personable man named Michael detailed us on the types of oil they offer, as well as making sure my friend s car lights were all working correctly. What is usually annoying car maintenance, turned into the most pleasant oil change experience I have ever been honored to be a part of, all thanks to Michael, someone who pleasantly appears to care and enjoy his job!!! My brother used to be a mechanic, so needless to say I have had experience being in lots of different car shops, and I was so shell-shocked at how it seemed everyone had a smile on their face and how the whole place just seemed like a well-oiled machine. (Pun intended) So, Michael: If you see this, Thank you for being an awesome person who appears to radiate the qualities of a leader and a dependable employee, while also making the experience of an oil-change not be so dreadful. My friend and I think you rock!
