The day after Thanksgiving I noticed my SUV wasn't driving as well as it should. I stopped at one location and they did a test drive and advised I should take it to a transmission shop. We'll with it being the holiday weekend, I called around and no one was open in my area. I called Texas Transmission and spoke to Gabriel and he assured me that would look at my car that day. Well it had to be rebuilt. These gentlemen are so kind and kept me informed thru the repair process. They assured me I would be able to drive it home and they would pick it up the next day. They did a wonderful job and worked with my extended warranty company. Once repairs were done they even delivered they car to me. If you need repairs done you will be very happy having them doing the repair.Thank you Texas Transmission. .

Got back my truck last week Wednesday after Texas Transmission Repair had it for over 2 months. Rebuild it 3x and still the transmission isn't working properly. I paid almost $3000 for my rebuild. By Friday afternoon while driving on the highway my gears started slipping again. Today on my way home, the same thing. I want my money back but they refuse to give it to me. Do not take your vehicle here. I'm warning you. You're wasting your time and money. DONT DO IT.

1. They stole my catalytic convert. My truck still isn't running correctly as I have a delay going into 3rd gear. For what I was charged I expected better results. They quoted one price and then called saying they different factor in replacing the rear main seal. Then called again saying the found a hair line Crack which was another 250.00 add on. The guy who dropped my truck off tried to drive off while I was test driving my vehicle. I hope they read this review and know that this isn't the end. Let the fun begin.

I wanted to give this place a better rating like the rest of the reviews. The reason I went to their business was because of the great reviews. Unfortunately, my issues started in 08/2021. The service was great, friendly, on time as I expected. I got my vehicle back on 09/04/2021. At first, it was great and then I went on the Hwy. The gears were going all over the place. The speed did not want to go over 18 mph. We were stuck miles away from home going 1 mph trying to reach a family members home late at night. They provided another courtesy tow truck the next day. I've been going back to them for a year now with similar issues. Delay in gear. When you put it in Drive it takes a while before it actually goes. At one point, I had to start driving with both feet so I can accelerate while pressing the break so the car could go. This only happen when I stop and go. When we were going in reverse, same issue with using both feet to press the brake and accelerate. We had to stop driving the car. I asked for a refund but Luis says they never refund. Last time I brought it back was in June 2022. Luis said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and it must be the engine. I took the vehicle to get it check by Friendly Chevrolet. The Transmission Coolant lines needed replacing and the transmission fluid was low. (Don't know how TX transmission didn't catch that). I was willing to get any and everything check to fix my car if it was other than the transmission. Friendly Chevrolet said I need a Transmission rebuild. Crazy how we are back to square one. Brought the vehicle back so they can rebuild it once again. Guess....what. Same issue. Not as bad as before but it will be a matter of time before I have to drive with both feet and the transmission gives out. I do not recommend this place. The warranty sounded great but I will never get my money and time back.They've been friendly this whole time but friendliness doesn't get my issue resolved. Honestly, I just want a refund so I can take somewhere else.Update 9/21/2022Stranded again. Provided picture this time. Will keep ya posted and see if they make it right.Service: Transmission

This shop was was very nice, to me they did a great job on my 2016 dodge charger, needed a rebuild transmission that cost me 3k but it was all worth the price Chris the guy that works the front desk was a good guy everytime i called he answer the phone with a good attitude.They had my car for about 2wks i was so stressed out but Chris assured me everything was going ok with my car. And sure enough i got it back runs so good yes even the owner of the shop was a kool guy well thanks to you guys im back on the road again life time warranty baby can't go wrong with that.

I found out that I needed my transmission worked on and I was really scared because I called a few places and they were very expensive and not a lot of warranty. I asked my son if he knew of a place and he said that he had been over to Texas, Transmission , and that, they were very upfront and honest about fixing his vehicle so he told me to give them a call and I did. I spoke with Luis and he explained everything to me and just made me feel a lot less stressed and he gave me the price which never changed and they even picked up my vehicle for me from my home. I know that I will be recommending Texas Transmission to my friends and family. I just want to say thank you to everyone there and especially Luis , because he answered all of my questions, and helped me understand everything about my transmission!Service: Transmission

I'm from Minnesota was on my way to Galveston for a 7-day cruise, the transmission went out on my 2017 suburban in Ennis, TX. got online googling transmission repair shops, found five, all of them could repair the transmission, but it was 11:30am on a Friday none of them could get it done until the early part of the following week, and I would still need to find a tow service to get it to them. TX transmission said they would come get the vehicle repair it and have me back on the road before they closed that day. Everyone was awesome, very friendly, very informative. I was back on the road by 7:30. Enjoyed my seven days at sea and drove back to Minnesota with no issues. Thank you, Luis, and your team for being amazing, I will recommend you and your business to everyone. P.S. they also had the best pricing which included towing the vehicle.Service: Transmission

Worst.. I strongly suggest no one go there.. they destroyed my car neither they could fix transmission nor they could other issues because of the replacement of transmission which never worked.. they took all money and sent me after one and half months suffering without fixing the car... Worst experience..

Very satisfied with the repair done to my transmission. I had my transmission rebuilt 2 years ago by another shop and sadly had issues at the 1 and 2 year mark. Gabriel was helpful on all the options they provided. I couldn't resist going for the upgrades they offered. So far this has been the best my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 has ran since I bought it back in 2018. Definitely recommend this shop for your transmission repairs.Service: Transmission

We have heard how important good character is in life and at 72 years old I m here to tell you it is imperative if you are in pursuit of a good life. And although it is often difficult to describe, we usually have no problem recognizing it when we see it. From the moment you walk through the front door, this business exudes a high degree of character. A family owned and operated business; guided by a family patriarch, it s sole purpose is to build a family bond through excellent, professional service to its customers. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. A total transmission rebuild, I was in and out in a day and an extremely reasonable price. Amazing! I took my car in and had the transmission completely rebuilt. Luis gave me a very quick and free estimate on what it would cost. He was so helpful.The cost was significantly less than any other place I talked to and they were all so polite, concise and did an amazing job on the rebuild. Also... They have a lifetime guarantee! My car drives beautifully now. I very highly recommend this place. I wish I could give them 6 stars!******

Terrible! Less then 3 months after they rebuilt my transmission it failed. Now after another 3 months the transmission is leaking in 2 places. They have had my van for 23 business days total. Luis is a liar and Tony is sloppy and unprofessional. I'm walking away from their lifetime warranty.

I've had two visits here, one recent and one awhile ago. First of all, their prices are amazing. Second, they do a beautiful job. Cars are unpredictable but my last one drove beautifully for two years after her rebuild, after which I sold her for unrelated reasons.Had my fiance� bring our car in today for what ended up being a non-transmission-related issue, but they went above and beyond to make sure we got connected with someone who could help fix the problem. Amazing service, as always, and everyone we spoke to was so kind and helpful. I recommend these guys to everyone!Services: Transmission, Electrical

Luis was great (friendly, and honest). He provided a quick quote and stuck to it. The service was great. The price was wonderful compared to other shops. They picked my vehicle up and towed it to the shop. Then, completely rebuilt the transmission in a timely manner. Excellent and quick service. My car had a transmission failure and needed to be completely rebuilt. I asked for photos of the damage and was sent them throughout the repair service. My transmission looked brand new after the rebuild. They even had me come in to do a check up on it a week later to tighten anything that vibrated loose during commutes. They were very informative and professional. It was completed within the week and I actually got to take my rental back two days early. I am so glad I decided to go to them for this repair and would recommend them to anyone.

I am still waiting on my car to be repaired,I have had problems with my transmission since December of last year. I have been taking my car back for them to resolve the issue and as of today my car is still not running properly. They don't keep you updated unless you call them. I have requested to speak the owner Raul as of today I still have yet to receive a call . This is very frustrating and an inconvenience.

Had my GMC towed to this shop on a Monday after noon for a bad throw out bearing and Got it back by Friday. Good, quick service and good pricing. Happy, Happy, Happy!! We just got our 2004 VW convertible home 2 days ago and are so happy that it is back on the road. The 2004 have a record of a problem with the transmission, with no options for new parts or new transmission. After taking it to a reputable mechanic we were advised a rebuild was the only way to save our car. After reading the feedback we opted to take a chance on Texas Transmission repair (it was worth the distance for us, as it is about 40 to 50 miles away). We reached out and told them we knew we required a rebuild and requested a quote. No run around, we received a detailed quote lightning fast!! Free pickup of the VW. We cannot say enough about the awesome communication, excellent customer service, caring e-mails from Pamela when a family emergency caused a delay in one of my responses to their correspondence. Updates from Luis and always a thank you. Not only do we have an excellent warranty, but we have also received quick responses to our questions and courteous e-mails. These guys are good. They had the transmission in my truck rebuilt in two days. They do their work at a good price and offer a lifetime warranty. I will use them again if I ever need another transmission rebuilt.

Walking away from my lifetime warranty. 12 business days to repair my transmission. Less then 4 months the transmission failed. 10 days to repair the transmission again. Parts fail things happen. In the 22 days they have had my vehicle I found Luis to be a liar. Tony the owner is sloppy and unprofessional. Leaving my warranty and this subpar shop in the rear view mirror. Tx Transmission is a sloppy unprofessional shop with a liar at the front desk to cover for them.Service: Transmission

Raul and his Dad Tony are awesome! I brought my work truck (2000 Dodge Ram 2500) in on Wednesday evening and picked it up Saturday morning. Gabe was great to work with also. Tony warned me about a issue he noticed under my truck, above and beyond I thought. The truck drives great. The customer service is great. They also rebuilt the transmission in my 1999 Chevy Silverado about 3 years ago and did a great job. Highly recommend them to anyone.I got another work truck that Raul and his guys rebuilt the transmission on. These guys are top notch. Nobody else will work on my transmission. I had a solenoid go out on the 2000 dodge ram 2500 and they honored the warranty. It was in and out and back to work in a day.

On the way to West Texas from Louisiana, our transmission went out. My 2004 Avalanche decided to kick the bucket during the wonderful snow and ice storm that we had. Unfortunately it was my transmission but the good news is that I called around to many different places and wound up getting the best price with the best deal here at Texas transmission repair. The owner himself actually partakes in working on the Transmissions. Free pick up for my truck and a good price on the bid and they kept to their part of the bargain. If I have any more issues with any other vehicle that I own I will definitely take it to them.

Got my transmission repaired 2 years ago from here. I just came back 2 years later for a maintenance oil change to keep the lifetime warranty. The transmission is still working perfectly with no issues at all. Tony and Raul are awesome people who will take care of you. Definitely recommend you to give them a try at least for a quote.
