I needed the starter on my mower replaced. I was told to try taking it here to Capps. I am very happy I did! They did excellent work!This place is a true old school mechanic shop with great service and excellent prices! I am a new customer for life now!

Locals who treat people right and the most fair pricing I've ever come across. Capps wants your business and they achieve it by giving you more than fair pricing, honest answers and solid work.Capps are the go-to automotive repair in Temple. Hands down

Took in a starter to see if it could be repaired, or if I needed a new one. Doc took it and put it in his vise and started working on it right then and I was thinking, I wonder how much this is going to cost as the other shop in town said it's be about $230 to repair it and he wouldn't be able to even get to it for a day, then another day to get in the parts. Doc replaced the 4 brushes, two threaded studs and a piece in the solenoid. He put it all back together and spun it up. I told him I wasn't expecting him to actually work on it right then, but I appreciated him fitting me in. He told me he wasn't going to be around tomorrow so he wanted to get it fixed right away. I asked him how much I owed him and he said $65! WOW! SERIOUSLY! That was amazing as I was expecting at least a hundred bucks. I installed it and the truck lit right off without any issue! I will definitely use them again! Fantastic service! Thanks Doc! Good luck tomorrow!

Super sweet owner! Gave me honest, straight advice. Helped get me back on the road and it only cost $4 for fuel injection cleaner. Absolutly recommend for his honesty alone! But get the bonus of very knowledgeable and kind!!!

Capps knows his stuff! And he won t rob you blind! He has helped us with all of our cars and we send many of our employees to him because he is honest and will charge a fair price. Temple is fortunate to have a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. The place ain t pretty but no upcharge for gourmet coffee or a fancy waiting room. Pay for the service and get back on the road with money left for gas!! Highly recommend.

I called several times and the lady who answered the phone was very rude. When I can in after they told me car was fixed, I was happy. Only took them a day. I made it one mile away from the shop before my car broke down. Had to have it towed back and it took them another two days to find the real problem. Still had to pay for the first fix, as well as the second fix. Wasn t worth the $400 at all

Took an alternator to be rebuilt, I marked it so I ll know if bolts was actually removed. They was quick to charge me for a service that they didn t do wouldn t recommend this place for anything

I went in and Doc took care of me. He checked the starter and said it was fine and gave me some information on what to check next. Didn't charge me anything! Good place to use!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I would never take my car anyplace else unless Frank tells me too. He is the best. He will do you right. Just wish he had some help .

I would not take my car anywhere else!!! They are very knowledgeable and will not price gauge you. A friend recommended them to me now I recommend them to others.

Garbage. I spoke to some elderly receptionist to inquire about carburetor rebuild. Told her I was driving 35 mile to drop off my carb and then showed up only for the shop to be closed 35 min early. Waste of time. Junky, ghetto looking place with customer cars unsecured out front. You're better off at a gas station. Place looks like a junkyard.

This guys good fair and fast took a car had alt problems took 3 hours to fix and car still running fine year later only 90 bucks i let him have a 100 just cuz the guys was so nice and fast
