I m 40 yrs old and finally found a shop you can trust without crazy mark ups. Office staff is very friendly and has great communication. They even stayed after closing hours so I could get my truck back that day. And the most important thing is trustworthy mechanics. Everything they say adds up right without ridiculous add on s. They don t just throw parts at problems. My truck has been here several times and this experience has been consistent. Quick diagnosis as well. Happy customer and the only place I ll take it to.

Went in for a simple repair, and after waiting over a day for an estimate or any type of information about my vehicle, these very unfriendly folks, gave me a crazy amount for repairs that I did not ask for, and apparently my car was completely taken apart, despite not asking for that at all. I declined service and wanted a second opinion, which I eventually got, because after leaving this place, my car started acting very weird before literally dying on me. It had been running fine before, other than the basic repair needed. They totally screwed my car up just because I declined service with them. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. -3 for customer service, 0 for timeliness, -18 for the work done, 0 for price. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Jeff has repaired my 6.0 F-250 numerous times. As we all know that's not an easy truck to work on. Every time the problem was solved and fixed correctly. Hard to find folks like this anymore.

Previous review commented that City Auto must've been good in the past, based on previous reviews. It's been my experience that the company either doesn't care abput customer service or is just incompetent. A few months ago, after reading all of the reviews I took my F150 over to have some driveline work done. This is farm country, so, you'd think that the mechanics would be experts on the F150. They're not.If you're in the area and looking for a mechanic my advice is to try and get the guys at Good Ol' Fashioned Oil & Lube to fix your rig.

Charged me $2,800 for a rebuilt transmission, sounds good right? Transmisson wasnt fixed correctly. They were also supposed to replace the rear main seal too, They claimed to change it well turns out they did but with the wrong one the size wasnt for my transmission which caused leaking again. Fuel pump was replaced there as well charging me $150 for labor not that bad but apparently fuel pumps at shops cost $300 called a couple other places they get them for my car for $170 so what was the other money used for? Horrible service, Dont recommend, People like that working on cars just to take their money is ridiculous.Service: Transmission

Nice to have a place to go and trust the mechanics. This time they suggested I don't fix the issue with the light that went off specifically because it reset in only seconds.

KEITH In service filed a mechanical breakdown claim for a mutual customer. Everyone was quick with every document we needed to cover the cost of the repairs. KEITH was quick and polite and got our mutual customer back on the road in no time. KEITH needs a raise for exceptional service.

First time customer! Took my F150! With 187k miles had transmission serviced and leak repaired installed new shocks and struts . Truck now drives like a new one and not a 2010. I highly recommend this company only problem is that they have too much business . Good work and honest fair pricing . I highly recommend this company! I love that this is a family business! Ms. Rosie, up front, as wonderful to deal with. She was so sweet and very helpful. Took my 2011 Kia Soul in because a/c was blowing hot. They were able to diagnose what was going on, and get the necessary parts ordered within a day or so. Once everything was in a/c was blowing cold again in 2 days. I think it is working even better than it was before! I really appreciated all the communication from them throughout the process.Services: A/C installation & repair, Oil change

We have always felt like their honesty and transpatency about cost has kept us going back.We recently had daughters truck in the shop and City Auto did a fabulous job. Our daughter keeps saying the truck is running like it was new. Thank you Keith and all.

I highly recommend City Auto Service for all your vehicle needs. In looking for a Repair shop with a rapid return and great prices, I gave City Auto Service a chance. I quickly found what I was in the market for. They offer exactly what I needed as well as good customer service. Not to leave out the great communication service they offer. The friendly staff always welcome you regardless by phone or in person. To receive this type of friendliness speaks volume about your department.I encourage you to give them a try. Thanks for all that you do!!!!!!!

I went here about six months ago because my belts needed to be replaced. The labor seemed a bit pricey (over $180) but I had been trying to find a local place because I hate driving into Hutto. Anyway, they replaced them and a few weeks ago the power steering belt started squealing and acting up again. They warranty their parts (I think these cost a whopping 3 bucks on line but 20 bucks there) but still wanted to charge me $90 for the labor for something I watched a guy do in 15 minutes by himself in his garage. I've had some of the bigger chains completely waive both the fees for the part and the labor when the problem repeated. Not only was I not satisfied with the work, but the business lacks customer service as well. So then I did some in depth diagnoses and research about the problem and discovered it wasn't even the power steering belt. The last time I took it in, they did not properly tighten the alternator belt which powers the power steering belt. I could clearly see that the bolt was off by about an inch. I don't know if they did this intentionally knowing it would eventually cause the belts to slip and cause me to bring it in to charge me more money or if it was incompetence the first time they replaced the belts. But either way, don't trust them. An honest mechanic would have said let us figure out what's wrong and if it's our mistake we'll fix it for free...which is exactly what it was. But nope, they were ready to hit me with more charges for something that wasn't even the problem.

Maybe it used to be good based on the reviews but its not anymore. Vehicle is still broken, horrible customer service, felt like they just took the money and don't care.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

They were so kind and wonderful. The customer service here is amazing. My husband went into hospital shortly after dropping vehicle off. They fixed the vehicle, held it until he was out of the hospital and were kind and caring. I can not say enough good things about the customer service and all the work was done at a reasonable price and done when they said. The went above and beyond my expectations.

Though this is ill-advised per commonsense, I'm going to write a review while my vehicle is still in the shop. This is twice now that City Auto has identified mistakes a prior shop made and has addressed in a timely and correct manner. FYI, the first visit resulted in 100% satisfaction. While I'm capable of handling many mechanical procedures on my old truck I greatly appreciate a shop that has the expertise and honesty to chase down issues that I've failed to find or a little intimidated to tackle myself. My 79 is in the process of restoration and I have a few important but not critical projects in the future. After working with City Auto on two separate occasions I will definitely visit again for anything I need extra help on.

I drive a high-mileage diesel. I took it to city auto on recommendation of the wrecker driver. I thought I had a bad injector pump and was about to have to drop a couple thousand dollars. Fortunately for me City Auto is honest, and they replaced a primary fuse for nearly nothing and I was on the road in no time. I would definitely go back and tell friends they should use City Auto. Great experience all the way around.

I broke my serpentine belt on my 2007 Pontiac G6, I called the next morning for an estimate ($333.00 USD) to replace the belt and tensioner. I dropped the car off at about 11AM and the car was ready by noon the next day. Actual cost $240.00. I was very pleased.Had a second round getting my emissions working. The repair took longer than expected, but that was due to a defective part they received. Once the new catalytic converter was replaced with another, the car was working fine. Like the previous work, this was done within the estimate and only issue was the delay caused by a faulty part from their supplier. Still very pleased

Took my Jeep here only because I was in town for work. They diagnosed my motor as having no compression in the #1 cylinder and told me I needed a new head. Over 1000 dollars later I picked up my Jeep to head back to Houston.. I didnt make it.. I had to have my Jeep towed to my hometown mechanic. He diagnosed the exact same issue. No compression in the #1 cylinder and told me i needed a new head.. I tried to work this out with the manager here and he was adamant on screwing me out of ALL labor costs... I had to pay City Auto over 1000 dollars, i also had to pay for a tow truck to my mechanic's shop and had to pay my hometown mechanic to repair the EXACT SAME ISSUE CITY AUTO diagnosed my Jeep with.. STAY FAR AWAY..

Excellent service, nice people and its great dealing with a local business you can trust. Took my 2007 Toyota Tacoma to replace transmission/driveshaft seal which was leaking; so far so good. Keith recommended using the Toyota OEM part for this repair, the part is cheap, but it is a labor intensive repair and according to the internet, Toyota improved the replacement seal. Then two days later, took my wife's 2005 Camry at 9:00 AM; they diagnosed the noisy issue as a bad alternator, recommended replacing the bearings and reinstall. At 2:00 PM the repair was completed. Prices were very reasonable.
