It took us years to find a good, trustworthy and reliable mechanic in the area and I don't know how we missed this place. Any time we bring in a vehicle, their estimates are honest and accurate. They've taken a vehicle in shortly before closing and worked hard to get it ready by end of day. The rare time we had an installed part fail, they fixed it under warranty with no issues.

I took my 2002 Toyota Camry here because of the positive reviews that I read here.Initially I went there because of suspension but then it was the oil leak and the check engine light. They changed the engine gaskets but the first time it did not work and the oil leak was still there and a week after they redid it and the check engine light was also gone.I can say that the guys are honest and decent and trying to do their best.Price wise I did not compare with other automotive but I can say that s it s not a labor for 25$ when it comes to working with engine.I got work to do on my car so I m definitely coming back here.

Best mechanic shop in town! The store manager is awesome, he makes sure to take care of all your needs from beginning to end also very knowledgeable. Ive also heard something about Smileys Speed Shop

I recently had a fantastic experience with Mike Tates Auto! I was referred by a friend after my dealership quoted me almost 1,000 for a repair (a sensor) that Mike Tates did for 200. They fixed my car promptly, did an excellent job, and charged a fair and reasonable price. Mark and Marcus at the front desk are so helpful; get us in and out quickly and give a reasonable time that our car will be repaired. It s refreshing to find an auto repair shop that values both quality service and fair pricing. I highly recommend Mike Tates to anyone in need of reliable car repairs. They ve earned my trust, and I ll definitely be returning for any future automotive needs. (I ve been back with different family members and each has received the same type of exceptional service as I have)

I ve been bringing my vehicle here to be serviced for about 1.5 years now. Every person who works here is incredibly helpful and provides excellent customer service. They are honest with their assessments, they will let you know if your vehicle needs attention, but will explain if it s urgent or if the matter can wait. These gentlemen go above and beyond, even when my understanding is lacking, they are patient to explain and make sure I drive away feeling secure in their service. This is a great place!

Highly recommend this location and its sister location, Mike Tate's "99" Tire & Auto. Went in for an oil change last weekend and despite all of the service bays being occupied, was in and out in less than an hour. Staff was very respectful, professional, and knowledgable and prices are very reasonable. The lobby/waiting area has a water tower, coffee, plenty of magazines, cable television and plush leather sofas, as well as a Roomba vacuum perched in the corner. I have taken my Acura here once in the past and would happily return again in the future. As an added bonus, they also report to CARFAX, so your service records will always show on your vehicle's history report.Service: Oil change

I heard about this place from the provider I work with, she comes here to get her maintenance done and she told me great things. Unfortunately we had to come to Telfair Automotive due to my husbands catalytic converter being stolen. I had the pleasure to speak to Mark and others and they where all so pleasant. They made our process so easy, they helped us with even calling our insurance. They are honest and tell you exactly what s wrong with your vehicle and are upfront with the price. They won us over. I just showed up to Mike's this morning saying my rear passenger tire was leaking. The PSI dropped from 36 to 32 in just a few days and I gave them my details. They took my car in pretty much immediately, found the nail, and patched it all within 45 minutes. I paid $16 total and they did not push me for any additional services. It was as painless as I could've imagined and they were really courteous the whole way through!This is my first time coming to Mike's for my car and will surely not be the last. Thanks for taking care of my car!

I had intermittent trouble lights on my Toyota Avalon and took the car to Telfair Auto. They thought they had the emissions canister repaired and returned the car to me. About a week later, the lights came back on, and they said bring it back. After several attempts and discussions with Toyota, they finally got it fixed.Intermittent problems can be very difficult to find and fix, particularly when the on board computer isn t giving specifics as to the problem, but they kept at it until it was resolved. And there was no charge for all their additional work and required parts!Truly a great shop! Fair prices and honest. I highly recommend them.

The guys here take care of my car well. Been using them for my Lexus oil changes ever since they have opened at this location, and also a few major repairs along the way. They also have changed my brakes. I'm happy with their services and recommend them.

Received a $1400 quote for a broken rear driveline disk from another shop. I thought the quote was quite steep. So I came by to Mike Tate s Auto Shop, spoke to Kevin there and he broke it down for me in a way I could understand and helped me determine whether I really needed this service. Kevin was approachable and straightforward and a wealth of information. This shop has won my service and loyalty. Thanks Kevin.

BEST SERVICE, PRICES, and above all HOSPITALITY.I have been a regular customer of Mark (manager at Mike Tate s) for probably over 2 years. I take all my cars to him for service whether it be my pickup for work or Sunday cruiser. When you are a customer at Mike Tate s you can be sure that the staff will have the customers best interests in mind. They have NEVER recommend a service or repair that was unnecessary and Mark always makes sure to let me know of maintenance that may need service soon (ie: brakes and pads can last a bit longer before replacement). Mark also texts or calls to give regular and consistent updates on repairs or anything else that may have come to his attention. When I need a ride back home the guys at Mike Tate s are always happy to drop me off. I have been to many dealership and third party service centers and I can say without a doubt that Mark and his team have by far the HIGHEST level of Service, Professionalism, and HONESTY. Everyone always greets you with a smile and a great attitude.If you are looking for a service center that cares about YOU then look no further, Mark at Mike Tate s Telfair will take good care of you. Called in while I was passing by looking for a quick tire patch and they were "too busy" couldn't get around to it for two hours. Was hoping he could recommend another independant or small vendor but he meandered on about how stuff like that doesn't exist anymore.Drove down the road a few miles and found someone who got me in and out with a tire repair in about 30 minutesIf they aren't reliable in small matters, they won't be reliable in large matters.

My tire pressure light illuminated on my CRV. I went to Mike Tate s Telfair Tire & Auto. This was a first visit for me. I told Mark that my left side (driver) tire has a nail in it. He told me he ll take a look at my vehicle and check my tires. Mark was professional and courteous to check all tires during my visit. Upon inspection of my tires, Mark came back and stated there was no nail, but my tire pressure was low on all my tires at about 25 psi. I had mentioned to Mark that I had recently done my yearly inspection (August) at the dealership and the tires checked out fine.Mark explained that due to changes in weather, air pressure in tires may change suddenly. I still believed that there was a nail stuck in my front tire. Mark got in my vehicle and turned the steering wheel, so he could see what I was talking about. When he moved my car just enough to see, I pointed out what appeared to be the shining top of a nail. Mark confidently stated it is a previous plug repair on my tire. Sure enough I had repaired my tire about two years ago. Mark knew as they work with tires all the time. I looked closely at my tire and it wasn t a nail after all. The tire pressure light on my Honda was reset, Mark s team had equalized pressure to 32 psi on all tires. Aside from a smaller metal screw (no issue) that they removed from one of the back tires, there was nothing wrong with any of my tires.I then proceeded to pay for their service, and Mark stated nothing was done and I m good to go. I insisted on placing something for the tip jar. Mark stated they were happy to check and that's all.In today s service village, our experiences stay with us. I ll remember Mark s knowledge, professionalism and the time he took to check my tires.Thank you very much Mark! Excellent customer service from you and your team!Service: Tires

I take my tires here to get mounted and balanced because I don t trust other places. I had a minor issue on my last visit. I contacted Mark (manager) immediately and he took care of it promptly. Fantastic experience! I had never been here before, but I badly needed to get an inspection and an oil change, so I decided to stop in. The employees were SO CORDIAL and the waiting area was spotless and wonderfully comfortable. I believe these guys are honest, and the service is simply top-notch.

They were very helpful and repaired my car in 1 day. They gave me a ride home and picked me up when it was finished. They gave an explanation about what was fixed and the estimate was the same as the bill. Everyone there was very nice. Highly recommended.

This place wants your business. I went to one and they could not fit me, so they picked up the phone and with a short little drive I was able to get into the sister shop. I didn't have much time so this was very welcome as this was the third shop I had visited, next time I will go here first. My tire is constantly losing air, so I brought the car in, turns out it's a nail in the tire. Very friendly crew. Good wifi coverage in the comfortable waiting area. I went in and out in 20 minutes. I will definitely use them again.

I visited for the state inspection, and was told that my plate light bulb must be replaced first.Although their asking price is 10 times higher than the item price, I still agree to pay in order to pass the inspection. In the end, they asked me another 60% higher and told me this was because they didn't expect the repair to be more complicated. This is not the worst part until I found out that they broke my AC blower and tried to hide the problem through the maximum AC vent.Services: Electrical, Air conditioning
