guess i got the naive woman treatment as well, as someone else mentioned. they ve done decent work in the past. i decided not to go with them this time around because they tried to charge me $1400 for brakes & rotors. as a business owner myself, i don t usually question prices & fully understand charging your worth. however this felt like an insane price gouge to me. charge whatever you want, but what ultimately left a bad taste in my mouth was the continuous over explaining of the price & back pedaling after i already told them i didn t want their services anymore. it just gave me dishonest vibes. LUCKILY there was a customer in there who overheard this & gave me contact info for another mechanic. I left & got my front & back rotors done for $600 elsewhere! Lucky me

Jay did a wonderful job on my alignment.. he also explained everything that was done .Before I received my alignment they wanted to change me a crazy price... the next day it was different price... I took it to my mechanic who fixed it much cheaper.... less than 1/2 of the cost for parts and labor... SMH.

They have my car sounding perfect. I got my exhaust work done a few weeks ago, they let me listen to different options and really guided me to find the best sounding set up. I can't recommend them enough, I highly encourage you to visit here. Brian and the team are awesome! I'll post some videos later but the camera doesn't do the sound any justice.

Guess I got the naive woman treatment. I came in 2/20 for wheel alignment and oil change. They then tell me I needed rotors and engine mount replacements. After spending over $1,000 I return 3/4 due to my check engine light on. Now they are saying I have a faulty 02 sensor resulting in $285 and exhaust leak. The first service provided vehicle inspection yet they saw none of the other problems. Then tell me those 2 items werent included in the inspection. Yet when I come back they just happen to inspect again and see more problems. I'm so sick of humans getting over and not providing quality service to everyone. They say ma'am and act so polite and concerned but just another scamming company finding more wrong after the fact. No you won't ever work on my car again and God will bless me to find a company that values me as a customer and not another dollar.

The guys here worked really hard on my car and took the time to help me understand what was wrong with it. They also called my dad and explained it to him because I didn t understand (my dad is a mechanic in another state and usually helps me on my car). I will be bringing my car back here every time because I trust they do quality work.

Came here with my Jeep patriot for what First time having any major work done and I was scared i was going to have to get a new car if they quoted me something ridiculous. I needed new wheel bearings and they ended up finding something else that needed to be fixed but only charged me the cost of the parts since they already opened up my car. Everyone was very professional and made me feel better about fixing my car. Thank you Louis and Brian and everyone else who helped me!

Really quick service, they got done what was expected in a timely manner. Tony was helpful and friendly in our interactions. Wasn t the best experience however and am giving 3/5 due to the following:1) The waiting area was filthy, my guess is there is no regular cleaning done here. There are bugs and dust bunnies all over the floor along with a lizard carcass underneath one of the chairs (See attached picture). There is dirt and grime on every surface. The AC works which is nice, but there is condensation that drips from the ceiling in multiple spots around the waiting room.2) Services are completed around the back of the building out of view. It s always nice to be able to watch what technicians are working on.

Came in here when I was a naive kid in 2010-2012 to get an exhaust leaked fixed on a mustang that had no cats and an aftermarket exhaust from the previous owner. The employee or owner of this place, not sure who, told me he can t touch my car unless I had catalytic converters installed. He charged me $250 for that before he would even touch the exhaust leak. About a year later I took it to another shop after my car was running poorly with an improper air/fuel ratio (was running rich) and the mechanic told me that I only had one catalytic converter on a single bank of headers, which was tripping out my O2 sensors.Southwest Muffler had my car running poorly for a whole year because he wanted to shadily make a quick buck off a naive teenager.Avoid this place at all costs. They re dishonest people.

I was referred to them by my mechanic. They promply fixed my daughter s car the same day and then called to check on us the next day. Awesome people!

Great service. The place was pretty busy when I came in on a Saturday but they were still able to get to my car pretty quickly, less then the estimated 2 hours, great service and friendly staff.

I really like Tony s job. He is excelente mechanic and have outstanding personality. The place is okay with average prices. But can be more expensive compare with some other stores.

I took my Range Rover to Southwest muffler & Brake and I received the best customer services from Bryan and Don! Not only worked in my car fast Don did a wonderful job. Always the best service, great customer service, Tony and Don and the other staff are very nice men they treat everyone with respect and you feel like family when you go for service and I m always at ease with the work they do. And lastly they don t ever try to cheat you they give fair prices and quality work. I won t take my cars anywhere else.

I have been putting off my state inspection for a while now. I found this place near my work. People are friendly and there was a short wait. I was very satisfied up until he drove my car around and put a dent by hitting another vehicle bumper. I didn't wanted to make a big deal because he didn't realized he actually hit another vehicle. The parking lot is very tight.

I went in today for an inspection and was treated very poorly by the inspector. He is very rude and disrespecrful. I would not recommend this place of bad business to anyone. Save your time ,money,and frustrations. Worst service ever.

Got an estimate for 60" pipe, 1.5 hours $260. Next day went for job, they used 26" pipe, finished in 45 minutes and still charged $250. Instead of doing a complete pipe from the catalytic converter to new muffler, they used the exhaust pipe of old muffler, just attached to cat and to new muffler, a bit of a piece it together job, like Frankenstein. All to avoid having to reattach the new pipe back to frame. Asked about why being charged for the 1.5 hour labor his response was, "Well just because he finished in 45 minutes...."Response to charge regarding so much less pipe, he said minimum charge was 45". Then why didnt i leave with the pipe i paid for? You are just going to use the small pieces to piecemeal somebody elses stuff and charhe them for 45" too. They took short cuts to finish quicker and still charged as if they did the proper way.That's not how you do business, especially if you want repeat and referral business.

I ve been using Brake Works for over 20 years and I never go anywhere else. Tony is as honest as they come. The work is done right or they will make it right! The waiting area isn t the cleanest place but I go there for Honest service on my cars not for a fancy waiting area!Services: Exhaust, Engine repair, Oil changeServices: Exhaust, Engine repair, Oil change
