The worst car shop ever, super rude front desk guy Allen, they had my car for a lug bolt replacement and MESSED IT UP!! This is truly the worst place ever and they will be hearing from my attorneys due to the way they left this car and it s a huge safety hazard caused by them. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS PLACE.

My car broke down Thursday and they had me back on the road in 24 hours! The owner is amazing and comes highly recommended by the community. Definitely coming back. I could trust what I was being told and felt taken care of. Thanks again!

McKay's is by far one of the best places in the area to take your car. I have been using them for over 5 years and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. They are always very friendly and helpful. Explaining everything thoroughly and educating on preventative car care/maintenance.

We were headed out of town and my starter decided to go out. This was a Saturday morning around 10:30 we had my car towed to McKay s Automotive. My husband received text updates on when they started working on the car, which was around 11:45 and they were able to get my car running by 1:30 which was before they closed at 3 and allowed us to still leave on time to make our out of town plans. My husband usually does all the work on my car but is recovering for something and was unable to do so at this time that being said like other reviews I will say the price they charged for the part itself was significantly more than what it would of cost to buy the part and do it ourselves but they were upfront with the cost, were able to get it done in a very timely manner, they were respectful and did a good job. Plus when we told them we were going out of town and what time we were needing to leave they made sure we were able to safely do so. Sometimes the cost of having someone else do something is greater but in our situation everything worked out. I would definitely recommend them.

Went in to see if there was any reason why my car didn t want to crank up once Nov. 14, 2023. Spoke with the tech & he said he couldn t find anything wrong with it, after couple hours of inspecting & driving my vehicle.After another 2 hours Allen the manager ; came to me and said, I needed a radiator hose with cost of over $300 of work & parts; and that my head gasket was slightly cracked, or blown, & needed to be fixed for only +$5,500. My car s KBB is only $1-2k. lolAfter speaking with Allen for over 4 hours, he knew that I have a family of 5, this is our only vehicle & I m not wealthy. I thought we were building a trust; but maybe it s was all an up sale skill to see how much I would be willing to pay?I told him that, I didn t have that kind of cash on me & that my radiator wasn t leaking before I showed up; because I had checked all the fluids & maintenance items before I brought it in.I also told Allen, it s kinda odd that all these problems showed up, only after I brought my engine to get inspected for an item they couldn t duplicate & found items not related to the problem I reported?Is that perfect timing that I made it just in time? Or are there small pieces you can mess with, that can cause big high $$ issues down the road?I left & headed home, and Just like Allen said, my car overheated. So, I had it towed to PBJ Auto service & Pedro looked it over, replaced a clamp on the radiator hose that had the leak in it and told me of the items I know I need to get repaired.I told Allen during our discussion that, I understand everyone needs to eat; but as long as you re honest & treat people right then, you are sure to reap what you sow.His Team are good guys, but in order to build trust, you have to act trustworthy.If you don t know your car & have tons of cash to give away for nothing; then Mckay s is the spot for you. If you car about honesty, integrity & building a solid relationship with your mechanic, then McKay s is not for you.Allen will tell you that, his way is going to cost, but it is the only way he does things.By that clamp loosening at the time it did, really is concerning. I m glad I don t have to trust or rely on him or any man other than Jesus Christ. Allen knows what he is sowing, & I pray he turns from those actions before McKay s starts reaping what Allen has sowed & pray those guys that work there stand up, when asked by the owner.Mckay s have my information & can call me to demonstrate their commitment to customer care at any time. I had a great experience with McKays Automotive today. We ve been going to dealership for all service requirements since the purchase of 2018 truck. It was long past time to switch and they are the perfect group to take over. Trusted, reliable, and friendly as well as doing what they say.

Allen helped me make a decision on replacing the motor in my daughter's truck. The motor was damaged beyond repair. The Jasper replacement motor was a good choice. Allen's recommendation to keep the truck and replace the motor was a sound decision. The mechanic, Lance, did a clean, neat, professional job of changing the motor. The truck runs perfectly. Thank you Allen, Lance and Jasper Engines for the great work. I feel secure sending my daughter on the roads with the new motor.Services: Transmission, Engine repair, Brakes

Another person mentioned to not come here as a new driver, or as a woman, my experience proved the previous remarks to be right. The man at the front flat out called me stupid because I'm a new student driver. He then told me it would be 420$ to replace a power steering hose.

The service was excellent as a complete check was done on the battery and alternator to be sure what the problem was. Although the new battery was a bit pricey, it was worth it to leave knowing the car would start again without any problems.

I loved Mc Kay's the reviews, the fairness, the people. I spent probably over 4k there in 3 years. However, my last two experiences will be my last.First a few weeks ago I called for a quote on a electrical repair on my car. I was told we will call you back when I have a price quote. I never heard back.Then today I went in for an oil change and was told that it would be over 7 hours. I was told that people have appointments. None of which were there. I do not understand why they could not knock mine out then get to the appointments. Also, I get that people make appointments but you should have a little buffer in your scheduling.This was my favorite shop for over 3 years but apparently they have become to busy to care about my business. Great Manager at this location!!Repairs were done quicker than program estimated so he took $100 off of labor charge. My ac went out in my car, it was blowing air, but not cold air for sure. I took it to Mckays Automotive on sawdust rd when I saw the sign that said free AC check up. I am always a little hessitant to go somewhere new, so I waited and called once I got to work. I spoke to Alan, he said bring it on in when I could and he personally would look at it. 2 hours later, he called. He said the only thing wrong was a fuse, and he replaced it and it I can pick it up. You always worry especailly as a woman if you go to any place like this that someone is going to rip you off, tell you you need parts that you don't , just to run up a bill. When I picked up my car, he said "no charge" and I was floored. He said fuses do not cost much and he was happy to get me fixed up. I could not say more about the integrity of this gentleman. If I have any problems in the future, I feel comfortable bringing my car back here, and any woman should. They are honest and will help you if they can. I paid $65.00 (I was not told in advance) for a general diagnosis. After being preached at by Allan, I left extremely upset. He was hard selling me through fear. Nearly EVERY major part on my vehicle (according to him) needed replacing to the tune of over $1,500. I was frightened to drive my car. The very next morning, another mechanic contradicted his $65.00 diagnosis. According to the second mechanic, I needed only a routine oil change and fluids topped off. When I dropped my vehicle off at 9:00am, I was told that my vehicle would be ready in a couple of hours, it was not. I picked my vehicle up at 5:30pm that evening. I am very troubled by my experience. There was a feeling of shady dealings. DONT use them. Put it this way! I am filling a complaint with BBB and in the process of taking them to small claims court. Very shady place! They replace parts without your knowledge and we ll try to get by with charging more than the dealership! Even if you vehicle breaks down in their parking lot I promise you you will be better off towing somewhere else!

To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. They opened up at 7am Saturday morning and I was there at 7:05. I came in for an oil change coolant flush and tire balance and rotation. At 4:15 we are still sitting here because the Coolant was never delivered. We have been waiting for over an house and they have not delivered the coolant. We quit using this place awhile back because they were just flat out rude. Now they don t care again. Customer service is not their strong suit at all. Stay away from here unless you like to spend a lot of money and get no one that cares. Work shows. They all walk around and have no problem getting food and drinks. I guess they are hourly. Cars everywhere but mechanics walking around on their cell phones.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Have used McKay's repeatedly for various repairs and have always had a great experience. We feel their prices are fair and we've never had to take the car back for any problems with the repairs. They have also saved us money by suggesting that we do "this" instead of "that" and the outcome has always been great. I highly recommend them.

went there this morning for shakiness and noise in truck front end. was greeted warmly by staff at the desk. vehicle was quickly diagnosed, a quote given and part ordered. after a couple of hours, my truck was repaired. reasonably priced, friendly, professional service from start to finish. they even went above and beyond by noticing that my spare wasn t tightly secured under the truck and went through the extra effort to get it safe.

I came in with two kids in tow trying to fix a battery problem I ve had for months. Craig immediately went to work and had me back on the road within an hour. Courteous, professional, and friendly service is hard to find and McKay s is overflowing with it. Highly recommend.

I take my cars there for anything any everything. When you find a mechanic that is good and honest with you about any repairs your car may or may not need, they check off all of the boxes. Very personable and always feel satisfied when I drop off and pick up my cars.
