Was devastated when the wife called me and told me that the family caravan was having transmission problems. Slipping in the lower gears and hitting very hard between shifts as well. There was also a check transmission light on. I spoke with the master builder at lifetime transmission in Spring, and he was very confident that I would not need a brand new transmission, because even though my transmission had several issues changing gears it was still drivable. When they opened up the transmission, they saw that the torque converter had failed, the clutches we're all burnt, and a couple of the clutch drums were cracked, but still able to be repaired What a blessing to find a shop that was able to work with me on the price of the replacement parts. They gave me every discount possible on the labor. They allowed me time to pay the balance. And I feel very confident with the lifetime guarantee. The repairs did take a good amount longer than what I had hoped. But like they say, all good things take time by far the most knowledgeable transmission shop, I spoke to all the years I have been driving vehicles. Thanks again guys! I recommend this shop to ANYONE who needs transmission work done!!!!

Our company has a vehicle we used to transport clients. Reliable little Fiat. Unfortunately we had the transmission worked on at another garage first before going to lifetime transmission in spring. The previous shop did incomplete and in accurate repair work to the transmission. We brought it to lifetime transmission in spring. The crew was fantastic from start to finish. Super informative. I feel that they really do care. They did not just send us a repair bill and collect their money and push us out the door. They took time to make sure that we understood what caused the failure in the transmission. They also were able to check some other components like solenoids on the vehicle. The mechanic could have easily charged for the solenoids. But he was able to clear out the solenoid fault codes. And reprogram the computer. Saved us hundreds of dollars not having to replace the transmission solenoids. and even after the transmission was complete and performing excellent. They are currently assisting with a small timing belt issue. Even though it has nothing to do with their repair work to the transmission. True professionals. And just darn good folk.Service: Transmission

I overhauled my 4L60E transmission in my 2002 Firebird Formula with 111000 miles on it as part of a major reconditioning project. The engine, suspension, and brakes were also all rebuilt, with the engine built up from the factory 310 horsepower to 450 horsepower. I added heavier components to the transmission rebuild to accommodate the extra horsepower as well. Corvette clutches, heavy duty sun shell, and beefed up accumulators as well. When I put the car back in service recently, I found that I needed to make a couple of modifications to the pump pressure controller and forward accumulator to get the type of shifting control I wanted. Michael at Lifetime Transmissions worked with me to get the several small parts I needed and make sure I had the right stuff. Kept track of my progress to assure that my work went as planned and I am satisfied with the results! This was even though he didn't lay hands on the job himself! I greatly appreciate taking the time to help make sure my work went well. Thank You Michael.

I truly feel blessed to have found these mechanics. I travel very far for work, and the vehicle that I was using was no longer operational. So there was a decision to either quit my job, which I definitely need or find a very affordable means of transportation. Obviously very difficult to do these days with inflation. I had read great things about Hondas. Found one at a super great price. But unfortunately had some transmission problems. The mechanics here at lifetime transmission were able to diagnose the problem. Helped me avoid the cost of replacing the whole transmission from what I hear can be several thousands of dollars. Apparently the torque converter tends to go bad on these Honda transmissions. They also put on the clutch discs and I believe they said a transmission solenoid, they were able to work with me give me time to pay and gave me a short list of other small things that may be needed down the line like brake pads and a tuneup. If not for this mechanic shop would not have been able to continue to work at a job that I love and need. Again, just trulyblessed.

Just my luck right around the holidays. My wife s Chevrolet Silverado transmission failed. Of course I was very surprised considering it was such a gnu truck. 2019 barely 100,000 miles they really don t make them like they used to. Of course my first instinct was to get a quote to replace the transmission from the dealership Replacing the transmission with a brand new remanufactured transmission was the only option they had. Disappointed to hear that they had no transmission repair options. Got on the phone and got in touch with lifetime transmission in spring. From the get-go, I felt at ease that I was not talking to a sales person. Rather somebody that is an expert in the field of transmission repairs. And has a genuine care and concern for his customers well-being and peace of mind. I let them do the free tow truck. Upon diagnostics, they found that a clutch drum had failed. Cracked and the gear needed to be replaced. As well as transmission seals, transmission gaskets, fluid and filter. The price was less than half of what the dealer wanted to charge. The repairs did take almost a week, but the truck drives beautifully. Saved a bunch of money and very pleased with their expertise their pricing and of course the lifetime guarantee on the remanufactured transmission. Definitely at least give them a call if you re having any transmission problems at all. They service across Houston.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT bring your car to these guys under any circumstance! At first I thought they were great as Michael is a smooth talking guy and offered to tow my vehicle to them for free! Then he quoted me over the phone a price which seemed very good. Told me to bring some cash down for them to get parts and start (he only takes cash - should have been a red flag). Then they asked me to sign the receipt which was sloppy written on carbon paper. I signed it and didn t catch them changing the price before they handed my my copy. The price went from $1000 to almost $4000. Bc they were so smooth talking I didn t double check the receipt when they handed it to me.Then they held the car hostage when I disputed the charges and said if I didn t pay the new amount then they would lein it and sell it.Here s the worst part. After I paid it to get my vehicle back it was still having the same issue I brought it in for. They did say I could bring it back under warranty and they would address it but bc of the crooks they were I only would take it while I was there when they were working so I could see them work. He cancelled appointment on me four times before I went somewhere else to have it done right!!!I found out later that they scammed my mother in law the same way - quoted her one price, jacked the price up and held car hostage until they paid the new price!!!!!!Do NOT use these guys!!!!

Great service and communication. Best prices I could find. Thorough inspection to detect problems. Gave me what I needed not what they wanted to sell. My 2004 f150 is good to go for another 250000 miles.Ironically the truck was totaled two weeks after work completion. But they were able to provide necessary documentation so the insurance companies would include the money spent for repairs in my settlement.Thank again.Service: Transmission

Took my Mustang to another shop originally. Work was incomplete and low quality craftsmanship. This garage was able to properly diagnose the transmission and correct the faulty work from the prior transmission repair shop. Got new torque converter, clutches, transmission control module in addition to a lifetime warranty. These guy went above and beyond with daily communication and fair transparent fees they even replaced my oxygen sensor that had nothing to do with the transmission at no additional cost. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDUpdate I can no longer in good conscious support the review that I previously submitted. There has been a lot of questionable practices from this shop brought to my attention to say the least. Multiple reports of stolen parts inflated quotes and deceitful practices. You can read the many complaints if you search fb for the page Lifetime Transmission of Spring Scam. Additionally you can research the many police reports made on this business. The owner has a silver tongue and will no doubt respond to this review. But after seeing and reading MULTIPLE complaints I m convinced this shop should be avoided at all cost.Update: Michael the owner is now threatening to take legal action because I refuse to remove my review. Again anyone considering doing business with him please do your research.

I was having an electrical issue with my 96 Chevrolet truck transmission. I have the 4L60e and the shaft seal had been leaking for a while. It covered the neutral safety switch and wires withe fluid and caused the insulation to deteriorate and expose bare wires. The shaft seal required a special tool that I could not get so I contacted Lifetime transmission shop to ask how to remove the seal so I could replace it. I spoke the master builder and he told me what to do. I already had the pan off so I could change the filter and fluid so remove the shaft was not so bad. I also replaced both shift solenoids as they were a bit loose due to worn o-rings. I am so pleased at the results of my labor and lifetimes advise. The transmission shifts like new now.Thank you so much for your help.Sincerely Tim

My truck needed a transmission repair and I needed it done quickly. I called Lifetime Transmissions and they said to bring my truck on over and I was quoted a reasonable price over the phone on my first conversation with them. Mike always answered my calls and texts promptly and had my truck out and ready to go in just a couple days. The truck has performed great since. Mike also gave me some tips on how to keep my transmission maintained. He only uses quality parts for repairs. Would highly recommend Lifetime Transmissions to anyone!Update: One year later. My transmission is functioning fabulously a year later! I had been taken to the cleaners by a couple of transmission shops previously, took my truck back for warranty work to one of the shops and they did nothing, finally I went and picked my truck up and did a quick Google Search. I called Lifetime Transmissions and got a sense of real professionalism. Mike was true to his word on both the price and the time needed to finish the job, which he got done really quickly! I'd recommend Mike and Lifetime Transmissions to anyone!Service: Transmission repair

I have been working on my 79 Chevy Camaro and lately I ve been running into some trouble on finding parts for my 350 turbo transmission and I m glad Life Time has helped me track down selector shift shaft seal. This vehicle has a lot of sentimental values to me because my father passed away in 2012 and me and my father have put a lot of work in his car. So thank you Life Time for helping me and keeping my vehicle up and moving.Service: Transmission repair

Michael lives and works by the old time special Texas qualities that everyone admires: he knows his stuff and his word is his bond. Lifetime Transmission is no exaggeration. He stands by his work and even when the customer encounters problems unrelated to that work, he helps until everything is right.Recently I ve been involved from far out of state in helping family members straighten out catastrophic transmission and engine problems not caused by Michael s work but standing in the way of getting back on the road. The transmission needed a new torque converter, clutch disks, computer and much more. The engine needed huge repairs too, including new head gaskets and injectors, as well as a revamping of the entire cooling system. Michael got me to the right man to do everything right at a fair price. If you want to know your transmission will be right and guaranteed for as long as you own your car, Michael is your man and Lifetime Transmission is your place.Penn Rhodeen

I had a check engine light come on my Mazda 6 with only 65k miles indicating a faulty transmission range sensor. I took to a couple of shops who didn t know how to resolve issue. I spoke with Michael over the phone and felt assured he understood the possible issues and dealt with this before. I brought my vehicle to Lifetime and through diagnostics, they determined vehicle just needed an automatic transmission fluid change & filter, they corrected the issue and saved me money. Lifetime is now my definite go to for transmission maintenance and repairs.

Excellent service and very quick to respond and give estimated repair time. I called these guys up about my transfer case that needed to be serviced with a full overhaul and Mike was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The kept the price extremely reasonable and instead of charging hourly like most shops do, he gave me a flat rate for the service being provided. So I know I m not getting ripped off. Even the parts needed he got me at commercial prices and not jacked up unrealistic retail prices. Score! I m the near future I am going to be needed a complete transmission rebuild, and you can get in coming back to you guys

I've never had a shop to care as much them I literally called Mr Michael everyday almost every hour asked a million questions. Even though my vehicle was not the newest or the fanciest. He still gave me every bit as much attention as any other customer. Taking the time to answer all my questions not only about the automatic transmission but about my vehicle in general. He even took the time to write down some other regular maintenance that would be recommended that had absolutely nothing to do with the transmission and for which he would not charge. He gave me multiple options for repairs. And was able to assist me in avoiding the need to get a brand new or a full rebuild transmission. Saved me thousands. And gave me the assurance that I was investing in the right type of vehicle. he answered every single one and even when I called him after business hours this is a man that gives you your best options and genuinely cares about his customers very patient man yrs take your car to him if you ever have any problem I highly recommend them.

I am a mechanic myself. But our repair shop does not specialize in transmissions. Called multiple transmission shops that to be honest did not care to help a fellow mechanic. The guys at lifetime transmission in spring were completely different. Eager to assist. Super knowledgeable. And helped me get this job done quickly I had a torque converter from an automatic transmission that had a converter bushing stuck on the torque converter. Could not remove it safely without damaging the converter. This transmission shop was great in helping me resolve the issue. Transmission now performs beautifully. Service: Transmission repair

I contacted lifetime transmission about my jeep. I received inflated quotes from other local repair shops. Lifetime transmission took the time to listen to all my concerns and they were very respectful of my budget. They allowed me to purchase the parts on their wholesale account number very fair on their pricing for labor. They exchanged the transmission fluid the transmission filter and the transmission pan gasket. My jeep is running in top condition!! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great channel mechanic or transmission specialist.

People say you get what you pay for but in this case you get more. Will be returning if i need any further transmission related services! Thanks guys!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Hello everyone else who has had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Salvador G. Ruiz. No one else works here besides himself and his mechanic "Garcia" FYI. No Mike, No Gil, if you ask him for his real name you'll get a runaround. It was only until law enforcement had got involved I was able to find out his real name.Best advice I can offer should you choose to allow this man to keep your vehicle for weeks is:1. get everything in writing prior to allowing him to do anything & ask for your old parts back.2. DO NOT sign anything until services are rendered.3. RECORD EVERYTHING! Texas is a one-party consent state. Meaning you don't have to tell him your recording.4. DO NOT LET THEM REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE.Salvador G. Ruiz has a history of verbally quoting one price only to outrageously raise the cost. He's affected many people in the Katy & Spring area. A simple Google search of his name will pull up everything you need to know about this "business"Please follow the link below to report this man to the proper authorities. I've contacted the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxtons office and they need more people to come forward in order to leave no doubt in the case or cases against Sal, LIfetime Transmission, Thomas Automotive Group.P.S. He will bribe you to take down any negative posts regarding his business

Place is a scam, do not take your car here. Sal Ruiz has an entire page on Facebook about his business. It s called Lifetime transmission scam. All the good reviews you re seeing are done by him. The place is a mud pit. He got me for $2,854 dollars and didn t fix anything. I now have my car at another shop being fixed. He will not refund your money. He makes you pay half up front cash. There are over 63 people on the Facebook page. He s shut down and reopened 4 times under new names.

Needed help with a Toyota tundra at a very late hour and this shop was available to pick up the call and we re very helpful. Pricing was reasonable considering it was a super late and super rushed. The shop added the correct amount and quality of fluid recommended by the manufacturer (12 qts Toyota trans fluid). Great work by the techs. Can t thank them enough.

After reading a lot of negative reviews, I decided to leave this shop, and Mike a review about my experience. My Chevrolet equinox broke down on the freeway, and we searched for a nearby shop. We spoke to Mike and he sent a wrecker to pick up our vehicle, yes it took him a bit longer to get the vehicle ready, but since the vehicle was fixed, no more transmission issues.I would like to mention that I've taken my vehicle to several other shops in the past and I was never satisfied with the service, I'm glad I got to learn about this shop, and Mike has been great help. I am a police officer and I highly recommend this shop for any transmission issues! Thanks Mike!

THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS! Do not under any circumstances have them work on your vehicle. They will hold your car hostage and it will not be fixed when you get it back. Once they have your car it s there s and they can charge you anything they want. The cops will not help you, it s the law. If you complain they will put a lien on your car and sell it. They are not actual mechanics, they put used parts on and mismatched components. They wiped and locked our ECM so we cannot even put it on the computer. They are the worst of the worst.Service: Transmission repair

I brought my car to this transmission shop on August 5, 2022 and I still don t have my car back. Salavdor aka Micheal lied to me about what was wrong with my car. He text me the price that he was charging and then I paid $900 in cash to and two weeks after that I go back with the rest of the money in a money order and he jumps the price up and I didn t have any documentation of the price you told me. I had the original invoice that he gave me and the one he send to me on my text messages. Of course it wasn t him that I was talking to at the shop it was his dad Salvador Garcez Ruiz. He was trying to tell the deputy that I tampered with the original invoice and the deputy knew I didn t do anything with it at all. He also didn t want me to test drive my car to see if he actually did the work. He lost my original key and keypad that I left with him but he made a copy of my key. He admitted to losing them I have on video of him saying it. He ended up selling my car without my permission. I ADVISE YOU DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE SCAMMERS and FRAUD.Service: Transmission repair
