I don't know much about car repairs so I really appreciate it when Darren and Nick patiently answer my 150 questions every time something breaks. I enjoy coming here I always leave satisfied. They are the most affordable car place I've ever been to, I highly recommend them!

EXCELLENT service! Fixed my vehicle that had been broken down for years. First time it's passed inspection since 2018. Nick is kind and upfront about what's going on. Thanks for everything!

Was referred to this shop by a friend and they are wonderful! My AC motor was blown and they got me in the next day. Of course no AC in Texas is not something you can go without mid summer. I was figuring it would be super duper expensive and it was not bad at all. They were fast at fixing and very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!

Called around to multiple shops to have a fuel pump replaced and they were able to provide the service I needed. Was able to drop off outside of normal hours, it was done next day, and was able to pick up after hours. Price was less than quoted and service was amazing. Will definitely go back if I ever need something else.

Had a battery problem that the dealership couldn't figure out these guys went way beyond my expectations in finding the problem but they did and didn't charge me a arm an leg to fix it these guys are the best

Visited the shop for the first time over a week ago. Much respect to Darrin, he didn't try to over charge like a lot of other mechanics. He found my issue and fixed it. Price was affordable as well.

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! WORST SHOP EVER!Took my car to get repaired when I picked it up the front windshield had a crack across it and the warning light was still on. They told me to drive it around and come back and they can reset and the light will go off. Went back twice and the light still came back on. They would not take responsibility for my windshield. Told me to prove it happened at their shop. It didn t have even a chip in the windshield when I took it in. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Not taking responsibility for my windshield shows what a dishonest shop this is.

I needed my a/c repaired on my car and had spoken with another repair shop that quoted a very expensive price. Then I remembered A-Shop Automotive Specialties so I called, spoke to Darrin, got a reasonable quote, took my car to get the work done as I needed it done ASAP, found out there was more wrong with the car than originally assessed, but still received a great price, great work, and the car was ready by the next afternoon. Great service, honesty, integrity and a smile! Thanks, guys for the great job on my car!Service: A/C installation & repair

Despite its "hole in the wall" external appearance and the number of vehicles parked outside awaiting repair, I left more than pleased with the speedy, well-done, and affordable service I received here. I was told my vehicle would be ready in an hour and 45 minutes, and it was ready 5 minutes sooner than that. Bravo! They kept their word, and what I paid was better than expected. I would give this establishment 4.5 stars if I could, with my only knock being the limited available parking.Service: Brake service & repair

Darrin and his team did a great job replacing basically my entire suspension on my jeep. I got my car back next day and it s a night and day difference with how smoothly it runs. Darrin was very friendly, personable, and helpful throughout. Big time help when my AC went out when is 100 out. Very knowledgeable about what they do and priced right. Time was great dropped my car off in the morning and they had it all done before I got off work, waiting and ready. The service was very good, the job was done quickly and in the time they stayed it would be. The Tech and owner Darrin, was very thorough in doing an inspection of the rest of my vehicle and topped off any fluids which needed it. I will return to this business with the rest of my vehicles for all future maintenance and repairs, along with recommending A-Shop to all my family and friends.Service: Oil change

Had a coolant leak in my F150. I was visiting family. I live in Atlanta georgia. They were able to get me in quickly and back on the road in a couple of days. I was kept up to date with every step of the process. Been using A-Shop almost 20 years now and that should tell you something about how wonderful they are! Absolutely NO complaints. Al and Linda have always been very welcoming, fair and completely honest. They NEVER try to sell me anything I don't need. And they chose wisely when they added Dave a few years ago. Both he and Al are top notch mechanics. I've referred several people to them over the years and they're all loyal customers now too. Thanks for being outstanding, A-Shop!!! You are "simply the best, better than all the rest!"

Nov 2021 and I'm still using these guys to service all my vehicles. I own a company with many cars and I love they are very honest, work hard and try to make every repair quick, convenient and affordable. Darren and Nick Thanks!2015- I have used A-SHOP AUTOMOTIVE since October of 2013. I do my regular routine maintenance with them as well as any major work. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great Customer service and friendly/knowledgeable staff. Prefer this shop over big name retailers for the personable atmosphere and service. Don't feel like just another person in line to be mislead and overcharged. Told me what was wrong exactly (even showed me the issue) and gave me a few options to fit my budget rather than just price gouge. I will definitely be returning for future maintenance on my vehicles here.

Always taken good car imof me and my family- our cars for many years! Honest and reasonable. Quick service and so knowledgeable. We ve moved 20 or so miles away, but still commute back for service. We love Mr.A, his wife and Rafael. Like family to us. Thanks for everything A shop!! We love you and can t imagine what we ll do if A shop goes away.

Quality work. Worked with me on my buget and did tons of repairs for my car. Runs smoothly now and not only fixed one problem, but cleared another issue as well. Waited to do my review to make sure it was quality work. Been 3 months and havent had a problem since. Reliable, trustworthy, budget friendly, and my car was on time. Would recommend.

I can't say enough great things about A-Shop Automotive Specialties. The staff at A-Shop Automotive Specialties is a great example of what customer service should be. We brought our 2006 Nissan Altima in for a repair for the first time this morning. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and were treated as if we had been doing business with them for years. The issue was diagnosed within a few minutes. We were told that we needed an alternator. The team at A-Shop Automotive gave us a quote and went to work on our vehicle. The repairs were completed as promised and at the price that was quoted. Problem solved! This shop stands behind their work and goes the extra mile to ensure that their customers drive away happy. Their prices are reasonable and are actually better than competitors in this area. I highly recommend A-Shop Automotive Specialties for any needed automotive repairs. Hopefully, we won't need their services anytime soon. In the event that we do, I know they will be the the only shop we use!

I have used AShop for 10 years or more. They have always been fair, honest, and done quality work on my families vehicles. Accept while I had a factory waranty on new cars I don t go anywhere else for my auto repairs. Been to this business twice and both times very pleased with the service and the price. The owner Darrin, goes out of his way to make sure you know exactly what he is fixing even sends pictures or messages if he finds something else. Prioritizes what needs attention and what can wait. I have used this shop since my recent return to Houston. The new owners Darrin and Nic do quality work and in a timely manner. Always great to have the confidence in knowing that my car is in good hands and properly taken care of each time in for service and at a very reasonable cost.

I was having issues with a code P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold Darrin checked the car for vacuum leaks and found a few of leaks and fixed them but the code was still there. Darrin pointed out the the fuel pressure was below spec values and likely the fuel pump was going bad. Replacing the fuel pump fixed the problem. Darrin did a great job explaining the work he did and how he found ways to reduce the cost of the repair. Everything was great! The staff was very friendly and professional. They were able to look at my vehicle right away and notified me of any issues they had. The service was completed quickly and efficiently. They even gave me a ride home while I waited for the repair to be completed! Now, that's service!

I used to love this place. It was convenient and the employees seemed like they were very real with you about the situation of your car. I went in for an oil change...and a day or so later my car started over heating. I found out they had put the wrong sized oil filter on my car.. My car was toast after that. When i called them to discuss my concerns, the response i received was "you don't have any proof" i was extremely upset. Ill probably never go back

This shop is amazing! Very professional. I needed another my windshield wiper motor. They apologized for the extra need, I was impressed that they showed genuine care for me and my car. Shop is easy to find and competitively priced.
