I had a unique problem with my transmission, it wouldn t go into gear when temperatures gets 40 degrees or colder. They had never heard of this problem before, they did some research and some troubleshooting and fixed my problem at a reasonable price. I recommend them. Thanks Guys

Classy professional courteous respectful!! What's not good to say about Griffin? Better find out yourself and be dealt with the way you should! So grateful to these men that absolutely know WTH they are doing. Thank you Griffin!!

This was probably the worst experience as a customer I've ever had. I took my truck in for a simple oil leak, two trips back and $1600 later my truck wouldn't even start. I had another mechanic look at it and he found that they had replaced a supposed new part with a very used part. So I ended up having to spend another $769 to get my truck running right which turned out to be that they'd screwed up putting my truck back together! So in all their mistakes cost me about $1200. They did buy the part back from me at the price of the new one a real mechanic installed. Don't go there, you'll probably regret it.

Our transmission went out , left us on the side of the road. They came and got me. Took me home fixed transmission had my car the next day before I had to leave to go to work. Bubba only charged me $650. The curb side service was free and friendly! The gentleman in the front was incredibly helpful as well. Transmission is perfect! Transmissions are finicky and sometimes need to be fine-tuned and go through a break-in period. My experience with Griffins wasn't a one and done, as dodges are, but they figured it out. Kellard and the old man are rough around the edges, but they made it right!

Friendly staff, fast service. They really had a fit with my Jeep. But they got off figured out and now it shifts and runs great.

I am not one to know much about cars since I am a girl. We have used this family business for many years and I ve had zero complaints. Anytime I have issues with my vehicle transmission related or not I take it to them first to give me advice on what I need to do next. Kellard Is one of the nicest guys and extremely knowledgeable even when over the phone. He is very diligent and thorough in his explanation of the issue. He gives me potential prices before any work is even done so I am aware of the cost. His customer service skills are one of the best I have seen when helping his customers. The work is done quickly and correctly and I have had zero issues. He let me know that if I had any issues I could bring it back. I will continue using Griffin Transmission in the future ! Great, honest guys! I had a unique request to have my husband's 1982 Cj7 Jeep fixed for his birthday as a surprise. Kellard, assisted in helping me pull this off without him knowing and it turned out to not only be a great surprise but we found that the transmission wasn't as bad as we thought. The guys got it back to me quickly so I didn't have to worry about ruining the surprise. On top of that they showed me the parts that were replaced and I felt comfortable with the work they did! Can't say enough good things for the work they did and the help they provided! We have also taken our daughters vehicle for transmission work before and they have always been honest and the work was always done correctly. Great shop and great guys!

My daughter s car had a service engine soon light come on. Took it to an auto parts store to have the code read and it was the transmission. Her car has a CVT transmission with 158,000 miles on it. Griffin is the ONLY place I found that will work on a CVT transmission. It took them a couple of days to troubleshoot but they troubleshot it and gave me two options for a rebuild as the pulleys were bad .with used parts or new. I opted for the new because it came with a better warranty. They had her car done and ready for pickup by the end of the next day. Kellard is who I dealt with. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall great customer service. I would highly recommend them. Ask for Kellard.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Stupendous. Superb. So much perseverance!This 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander confounded three well respected mechanic shops in Kingwood. They bombarded us with bills over a two- year period yet left the driver stranded time and again with the same problem. Aside from the endangerment, tow charges, and expenses, their diagnostics never touched the real issue. Kellard and his crew stayed with it to a triumphal success. Perhaps because of failures in previous diagnostics, the SUV did require a rebuilt CVT (meticulously done by Griffin Transmission), but that wasn t enough. Seemingly inexplicable engine shutdowns continued to occur. Kellard Griffin s shop examined and repaired wiring right into a gummed-up throttle body. After all that research, cleaning and repairing, the Outlander made a worry-free trip through the mountains of AR, MO, back home thru OK. We are thrilled. This success is totally due to extraordinary perseverance, and the kind of professionalism that just won t quit till the problem is resolved. This was the best mechanic shop experience I've ever had. Kellard in the front was so quick and knowledgeable. I thought i was looking at an expensive fix. Turned out to just be a sensor. This shop didn't try to sell me anything i didn't need and offered a great warranty. I will definitely be back.

The crew at Griffin Transmission went above and beyond. My wife and I came to them with both of our cars and they got everything fixed. My wife needed a new transmission and the VSA fixed on her Odyssey. The transmission was pretty straight forward. They went through multiple options to try and best fit our budget and needs. The VSA was quite tricky. The dealership was no help but the guys down at Griffin got it figured out after a ton of calling around and work beyond what they were obligated to do. Every step of the way they were fair and straightforward. They never tried to upsell or fix unnecessary parts. Thank you guys so much for all the hard work you put into our vehicles. Found out I needed a transmission can't rebuild it. For a 6 speed manual they said found one used for 600 $ ok but I had to go get it how when my truck is in the shop so they did to find out it was the wrong one got the right one the same day but to 3 weeks to do as all said and done I get mytruck back with a check engine light on did not have one when I brought it to them then I paid 1700$ for a 600$ transmissionThen now 6 months later my u joints are bad because my drive shaft got beat to hell and now I need a new drive shaft 1100 $ for it. So and plus it seems like my transmission not rightService: Transmission

I went to them and had my transmission rebuild. Payed in full with 1 yr warranty and I had to bring it back 3 different times within the yr for problems I didn't had after they touched it. I will never bring nothing to them again. First time I had to have it fixed again it took them 1 and a half months. Then when I kept going up there to see what's going on with it I was told "I can wait my fuc#/^* turn." There customers service is about as great as they fix car. It's bad if you didn't get my hint. Best suggest is find someone else. Trust me you'll be better off then dealing with these guys.

What can I can say these guy's do quality work at fair prices. Best in town! Everytime I have an issue they get me fixed up and taken care of as quick as possible without making me pay for unnecessary expenses. Kellards one of the best guy's there too so stop by and talk to them next time you have any issues. Thanks guy's for all your work

Was very disappointed . Had my work Truck transmission rebuilt , leaked since repaired . Didn't have time to take back for several months . Just kept adding fluid . When I did take it back they kept for three days then told me the couldn't change out seal because engine was out of tune . This would cause seal to blow again . Never heard of such a thing . They wanted to tune up Truck for an undisclosed about of money . I picked up Truck and took to my mechanic . Told them what Griffin told me . Allens garage stated one has nothing to do with the other . Engine turns transmission period . They fixed seal (which looked as though never touched .) Definitely old wasn't changed when transmission was rebuilt . Don't care for liars .

Bought a truck with a warranty for the transmission that was SUPPOSEDLY rebuilt here by Luke. After driving the truck home I noticed the reverse only works when it is warmed up and when accelerating it slips out of gear. This indicates the transmission was never fully rebuilt, but only gone through and replaced obviously worn parts. I called and was told at first the warranty doesn't transfer with ownership, but after insisting to talk to the owner, Bubba, Kellard said they would fix it. We took it to them with only 5000 miles driven on the 12000 mile warranty. 4 days later I drove back to Splendora and picked it up and found it leaking trans fluid and slipping out of gear just the same. I called Kellard back and he told me they had an inexperienced mechanic working on it and to bring it back in. So I drove it back. 3 days later I picked it up and Kellard told me it had 2 quarts too much in the transmission. When driving it back, it seemed to work properly. Once parked however, I noticed 2 large puddles under my truck. I climbed under there and took pictures because what I found is inexcusable. They took the thing apart and didn't even replace the gaskets! They used some silicone "make a gasket" on the tail (which is leaking) and they used the same old cork gasket on the pan, which is leaking a lot. Now when I talked to Kellard about the leaks he said the driveshaft might be the cause. So now he wants to blame the truck for the incompetence or poor training of the people who they allow to fix vehicles in their shop. It seems like because it is under warranty they don't want to spend any money, but what is at stake is their reputation! Shops like this that only do the bare minimum to get by cause distrust in the industry. I recommend going to a national chain when getting a transmission replaced or rebuilt. At least that way you know they have some standards.

Took my car in for repairs and all I got back was donut tire and alot of extra fees .... highly not recommended

Took a truck up there, they looked it over told me $2800. Go to pick it up and they tell me $4000, "they had to replace thus, change that, etc". Got truck on a lift at tire shop and they straight up lied, still has all old parts on it. The brand new housing they had to buy old and rusted all to hell. Can't trust anything they say or do unless you are right there watching everything they do.

I'm not sure what the truth is behind the bad reviews I've read, but Kellard's been very fair in his dealings with my Mom and me. So, we'll definitely continue using his services.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! They have put two tannys in my truck in two years and the 2nd one i got a life time warrenty put on it and got it installed in july its only march and im broke down on the side of the road again my tranny is out and they are trying to give me hell about fixing it!!! I bought a lifetime warrenty from them like wth

Had TRANSMISSION rebuilt on my truck 11 months later TRANSMISSION is acting up and left me stranded 6 hours from home. Also starter was hanging on by a couple threads, they didn't even tighten that up right. Never going here again.
