Today, I was aggressively told to go or leave.Thent had confused my allowed time and spent $30 dollars to wash. Not including the five times I'd vacuum, which charges $1. The owner(staff) said, "What was I doing?" My car or stuff had been outside, and they wanted possession of my belongings. So, they had to become rude and aggressive to take it in a hostile manner. Being a paying customer, I felt taking advantage of.All I used was a card with no coins, so I quickly continued my wash once I felt safe off the spi boulevard.

Put quarters in. Machine stuck and could not retrieve. Ate $1.50, No wash. Two other cars present. All left without washing. Then we noticed that none of the bays were wet.

It was okay. Could be better. Facilities need some maintenance. It's the only self-service car wash that I could find on the island, but despite not having competition the place could still use a little upkeep.

Used a credit card. It's $5.00 for the first six minutes. I ended up taking 20 minutes to wash and was only charged $20.00. You can use credit or quarters. If you need change, there is a bill changer.

The card reading machine didn't work. Couldn't finish my car wash. Next time, I'll remember to have enough cash.

I didn't have quarters. Credit machine said $5 wash. I was charged $10. It sprayed the under carriage but not the top and I didn't have access to the manual sprayers. So, basically, $10 for no wash and no working number, attendant, or email.

The larger's dollar that you can get changed for the $5 bill and the fact that they need to get better back games and you cannot wash your. Card totally with a $6 he runs out to quit.

(Please read the follow up post) The worst kind of self car wash. Change machine popped out one quarter when I put in a five dollar bill - will update if they respond to my email (no phone number available). I had a dollar in quarters and decided to risk the vacuum. It worked fine but the hose was so short I had to pull my truck forward to get in the camper (very small space, less floor to vacuum than a vehicle and I did not vacuum my truck), and it timed out after 3 minutes. Not enough time to do an entire car if you wanted too!Follow up post: I received a response from the office and they are returning the money I lost. Thank you!

We went through and all of our bugs were still on, and we asked if we could go through again but they didn t let us. We ended up spraying our cars ourselves and they eventually came to help wipe off our car. Overall a good location, but I wish they would ve have communicated beforehand to scrub our car before going through the wash. No one was there to help us when we first arrived.

Very impressed with the owner or employee out there every morning early to make sure that everything is operational and is clean. They take credit cards if you don't remember your quarters.Clean well stocked and maintained.

Standard car wash bays. They do accept credit cards, which is great.

AFAIK, this was the only self-service car wash on South Padre Island. Our bay worked fine and off went the sea salt. It s credit card only, IIRC, so there s that. There is a drive through car wash to the south on SPI, but that other car wash would not accommodate our Model Y, as our vehicle has a small bumper, and no hitch protrusions we re allowed at this other drive-through car wash. Go figure, lol. So this self-service car wash filled the bill. Anachronistic, yet utilitarian. I love it, lol!

Hardly works. Takes literally 2 minutes. For tire cleaner or soap to come out . By then you have to add quarters for more time.. this last visit change machine burned me for a $1 in quarters

A bit dated but everything worked. Change machine, card reader, each setting in the wash rack, good garbage cans covered and space, not overflowing.

The soap setting gives you only water no matter how long you spray it. The presoak hose above your head leaks like crazy, dropping presoak all over you while you use this setting. Not well maintained. Avoid.

Not good. Ok to rinse off your car if it got a little trashed driving through puddles of muck and sand going to the beach. But, very run down, the vacuum was duct taped and didn't pick up well.

Love this carwash just because it has hose to connect to boat motor to rinse.

Great clean place. Perfect for washing off the salt and sand from the van. If you set right time about 15-20 minis enough to clean it with power washer.

Only car wash on island.Definitely needed on island , especially when driving for travels.Everything worked and did the job.Grounds needed up keeping.

Stopped for quick wash. No soap when using sprayer. I switched to brush soap then back to sprayer and some soap came out for a few seconds then no more. I guess soap was out for the sprayer system.

This is a manual self service car wash, and it worked great. Based on the reviews of the other car washes in town, this one seems to be the best one.

Not good, the first bay took quarters but wouldn't register time, had to go to a different wash bay!!

Cold water and leaves a film all over the car be prepared to wipe dry with a towel to get rid of the film.

Over priced! I put in another 1.00 before the timer got to 1min 30 seconds and didn't get extra time. Waist of money for the amount of time you get.
