I reserved and paid in full through Priceline for a 3 night stay. Once there at the front desk the woman said they did not honor the reservations through Priceline and they could not give me refund. The woman then ran out the front desk and walked out. I had watch her from the window in case Priceline needed to speak to her if she didn't answer her room phone (the employees live there full time)...She also said "I don't know why Priceline has us listed on their website and I don't know how to take it off" was her excuse instead of thinking I should let the owner of the hotel know so the owner can call Priceline about their property/business.Either way, Priceline did give me refund on my 3 nights but as we were leaving a homeless person, a man in a black muscle shirt came to flag our attention at our vechile rushing towards our window so we had to step on the gas asap!Overall, do not book online with them, seems like a scam to me!

If you book your room online for less than $80 he will not honor it. Rodney will tell you he can't afford to let his rooms go for less than $80. When I stayed I was in a bad place. I had just left my husband and had no where to go or a vehicle and he didn't care one bit that I'm on a fixed income and my son and I needed a safe place to stay. I borrowed money from my mom just to be able to stay 2 nights. If he's not going to honor the online prices, he needs to stop the scamming. He let's them offer low prices and when they check in they are made to pay more money or they aren't staying.Rooms: The room I stayed in was newly remodeled and pretty comfortable bed or I could have just been exhausted.Walkability: Sonic, a Valero store, Whataburger, and KFC are all within walking distance as well as CVS, Walgreens, and Brookshire BrothersFood & drinks: There's a few vending machines, and a coffee machine in the vending area

My husband booked a hotel room for a week through a booking site. no one would answer the phone, before doing so. (should ve been the first red flag) husband tried cancelling and they wouldn t refund his money. he went ahead and went and no one was at the front for 20 minutes. some crack head came up and told him they do not do online booking AFTER the money came from his account. My husband had to dispute it with his bank, and didn t stay. would not recommend this place to anyone. (he works on the road) definitely do your research before, and make sure you talk to someone over the phone first. lesson learned. thankfully we have a good bank.

Extremely rude.I used an online program with OYO to get a discount on the room. The manager was wearing a dirty white tank top shirt and refused to give me the room I reserved. He said "at that price I can give you" which was a lesser room. When I asked why they didn't honor it, he said he hates OYO and doesn't like them reserving rooms. Avoid at all costs.

This hotel is older though it's in process of remodelingI rented a room just so my grandkids could swim on the last day before the new school year. They had a great time. We got food right next door to the hotel. And we slept well all night. It was souch fun and it was priced comparable to bmt hotels.Walkability: Restaurants and stores on same block.Noteworthy details: Nice little pool.

We stayed here several times during a week-long auto repair which should have taken 3 hours. The lovely Louisiana woman behind the desk was so understanding of our plight. Pinewood Inn gave us every break available. The large comfortable bed, AC and hot water were lifesavers. Our room was clean, no crawlies, and quiet neighbors. Thanks for the refuge from the storm. We recommend Pinewood Inn.

Be aware. Something wrong with the owner. All employees and the owner use drugs. The owner will allow you to work for your room and will kick you out for made up reasons. Uses police to illegally evicted you even if you lived there for months. Also allows girl friend to steal from your room. He walks in uses his key to go thru your things without permission.

The room I stayed in had roaches all in the bathroom and the refrigerator. Also every time I tried to use the microwave it popped the breaker. I have stayed at this motel in the past and had no problems so have to say I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Roaches are completely unacceptable and if it hadn't been so late when I stopped there for the night I would of found another place to stay.Rooms: Had alot of roaches and poor electrical as far as the outlets. Couldnt use the microwave because it popped the breaker and outlet anytime u turned it on.

A basic motel. The king bed was nice, especially after I asked housekeeper for an additional blanket. I also found a spoon (with food on it!) atop the ice tray in the bathroom. Threw spoon away & didn't use the ice tray. Its good that they had a small freezer/fridge though. One thing, it all looked clean otherwise. Basic, though. And I got to hear traffic all nite.

Do NOT book online because the prices will not be honored. We had to pay an extra $50 at the front desk above what we paid online. And we couldn t get our online payment refunded from OYO so we were stuck. Be advised when calling this place with online number, you re calling India, not the motel owner.Thought the room was decent (comfy bed, hot shower) BUT I now have bites all over my legs. I think they re flea bites because my boyfriend did see one jump on the bed.A frustrating experience. Will never stay at an OYO motel again.

THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH!! Do not give this scammer motel any money!!!! I called to verify availability which There was plenty. I then made and paid for a reservation online for several nights. My husband gets there to check in and the manager refuses his reservation. Says he s not accepting any online reservations but we can rent the same room for almost double the price. The place was barely worth the online price. We ended up in a much nicer room for the same price, thank you hotels.com. This hotel is listed on multiple booking sites yet he refuses to honor those prices. Bait and switch.

Rooms are under renovation. Beds are comfortable but filthy bedspread with holes. No coffee without leaving the hotel. We found potato chips and live silverfish in top dresser drawer. We had a hard time reaching anyone on the phone or finding someone in the office when needed. Owner was friendly however!

The rooms were not clean, the AC/Heating unit didn't work, trim was missing from the door and the bottom of the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken, and the mini fridge was rusted out across the bottom and we had to put a bowl of ice in it to keep things cold. There was building materials and tools everywhere that could be a safety risk. I could forgive most of these things, But what really set me off, was the fact that I paid for a WEEK at a rate of$150.00 and was told the next day that I had to either pay another $230 or I had to leave and would get a refund for the 150 I paid. I made the deal for the room with the owners girlfriend and the owner refused to honor the deal. I have my receipt for what I paid for and was told that I was getting free night out of it. I would NOT recommend this establishment to ANYONE!!!

TOTAL SCAM. Were asked to pay more on arrival despite having pre-paid online. From multiple previous reviews and our own experience this is clearly a well-versed tactic to scam money out of tired travellers. There are plenty of other places to stay nearby so take your honest money elsewhere.

Oh my gosh, GREAT place! Rodney, the man at the front desk was SUCH a blessing! He was willing to work with our budget and he actually upgraded our room for free! The room was clean, bath room/tub was very clean and the bed is SUPER comfortable memory foam! Will definitely be coming back here and recommending this hotel to others.

Do NOT stay at Oyo pineywoods inn and suites. Very unsafe an unhealthy! Tried to take CC and double charge said that they do NOT do online booking. I had reservation and they will NOT honor. They have it set through travelocity as non refundable then they charge again so your room now is over $200.SCAM!!! BEWARE!!!

Came to town late at night, stayed one night in this place and cancelled our second nights reservation. The room smelled like a old ashtray, shower knob was broken off, I slept in my clothes hoping I didn't get infested with bedbugs. Seeing the facility in the day light....wow!! Crazy looking people just hanging outside their room. Not a good look! Never again!!

When Hurricane Ida approached, I made a reservation so we could escape if need be. Fortunately, we did not have to evacuate and we canceled in time, but OYO Pinewood charged us $407 and refuses to reimburse us. It s Hotels.com s fault. It s corporate s fault. It s everyone s fault but the hotel s. If you are in need of refuge, do not use this hotel. If they will steal from victims of a hurricane, they will steal from anyone.

I stayed here for about 8 months after Harvey And Rodney and Tony treated me liked family. I would recommend Pinewood to anyone coming to stay longer than usual. Always has fresh clean towels and sheets and always checked on us to make sure we were ok. Thank you Rodney, ill definitely be backAll these ppl talking down about this place I see check into pinewood over and over. If it's so bad then why do you guys keep returning. Rodney for sure takes care of his customers, and I can only imagine it's not easy being one of the only or most popular inn in town

Def needs improvement and updated . They seem to allow too many vagrants to occupy the rooms. & That guy they call The contractor or the maintenance guy... ( Kinda thick guy with bald head and wears his pants on the ground) Well he needs to be let go in my opinion. The short time I was there I saw him go in and out meeting several different vehicles for only 3-5 minute meetings.. I'd guess shady dealings.. owners do yourself a favor... Folks do not like bringing their kids to stay anywhere this type of traffic is out in the open to inquisitive children.

The owner acts like he's on drugs. Told us we could pay nightly, as our house has 8 feet of water in it, and that he understood what we were going through. Banged on our door 7 times at 8 this morning asking for money or he was calling the cops. He's very rude and has no sympathy even while we are going through a flood. He is no way a manager he is a rude man.

Worst hotel ever! Waited 20 mins to check in. Then the desk clerk was rude.. The room smelled like an ashtry.Sheets where stained.The t.v. remote didn't work. And it sounded like someone tried to get in our room twice. The first thing i saw the next morning was a roach crawling across the wall.Trash place.

My mom and dad evacuated here for hurricane Harvey. They raved about the service, the cleanliness and their overall stay. The beds were great and if they needed anything the staff was there within minutes. Thank you Pinewood Inn for taking such good care of my parents!

Falsely advertised price. (Double) and no electricity in just my room. I'm up 3 hours early bc no electricity and no response from front desk so I have nothing to do but leave a review. And no coffee
