Paid for a transmission job for my son's truck and couldn't be more disappointed. Truck set there for MONTHS without being worked on. When they finally got around to "fixing" it, the truck never worked correctly again. As soon as my son picked it up, he broke down and had to be towed back. Set there for another few weeks. They said it was fixed again. Didn't work. Wouldn't shift right, kicking in and out of gear. Brought it back to set for a few more weeks. Said they put a different torque convertor in. Couple of weeks later, back in the shop. They said it was a wiring issue and claimed they fixed it. Aaaaaand... nope. Still wouldn't drive right. After wasting mountains of time, no one returning my calls, countless excuses and endless frustration, I took the truck to a very reputable shop in Beaumont. The owner of the Beaumont shop showed us how the transmission looked internally and how it should look. Unbelievable. Less than 6 thousand miles on the "Fresh Transmission" and literally everything had to be rebuilt. The shop in Beaumont said they've heard this same story repeatedly. The more I ask around, the more shops I find that say the same thing about Colvin's Trainsmission. Really sad because I go out of my way to support local business. I tried to be understanding but enough is enough. Hate to have to put such an honest but critical review out there but maybe it will save someone else from wasting time and money only to have to take it somewhere else and spend $4500 to fix what should have been done right the first time.**The truck now works flawlessly, drives like new**

Went in and explained issues, they immediately took the keys to test drive. Dropped it off next morning and it was corrected with full service and transmission reset. Thorough explanation and decent price, picked it up same day.

DON'T BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT IT HORRIBLE WORK WITH WORTHLESS PROMISES FROM THE OWNER. MY HUSBAND'S TRUCK WAS BROUGHT THERE AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER, 2022. ITS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THAN BEING HOME. COLLVINS REFUSES TO ANSWER ANY OF YOUR PHONE CALLS OR QUESTIONS.

Worst transmission place in southeast Texas. I would strongly advise not taking it to him. He tweaks transmissions just right so they go for awhile then break down on you and you have to bring it back constantly. Plus he expects payment and after that in my opinion he doesn't care.

So my friend and I were working here in Silsbe from Dallas on our way out we stop at the local DQ for lunch and locked the keys in our vehicle. I walked to ALL the surrounding establishments for assistance and no one would help us. When I get to Colvin's they were extra friendly and offered assistance. The guy Tommy (may God bless him 1000 times over) drove me back to DQ and in a matter of minutes had the keys. He assisted us so swiftly and declined our offer for payment. I would like to encourage everyone to take your business to Colvins because with a staff and employees like one can guarantee you are going to be satisfied with their work and it will be fairly priced. Thank you so much again Tommy and if We are every in Silsbe lunch is on us.

My jeep set out there for a week and a half by the hwy before they even let me know they wouldn t work on it. No explanation given and I had to call 4 times just to be told that. Jeep was never moved or looked at, just said the didn t want to work on it. Horrible

February ,2021 will be 1 year they've had car. Half has been paid for transmission on husbands car. Excuse after excuse and will not return calls when called. Very unprofessionalService: TransmissionService: Transmission

This place is terrible they've had my truck over three months due to the fact the transmission has failed 4-6 times and I had to have it towed and they told me it was covered by warranty for 12,000 miles and at this point they're holding my truck and they've also falsely promised me my vehicle would be ready the next day but it's not outside they don't even call you back and explain what's going on
