I'd like to thank Rafay for taking the time to take a look at my truck each time I've pulled up even without an appointment and close to closing. I went once w a headlight issue then w a battery cable bolt concern and each time he took care of me immediately! I appreciate his honesty and expertise! I definitely recommend this auto shop!

I went to this place a few months ago. One of my brakes went out and I needed some extra work. They were so welcoming, communicative, and had excellent prices especially compared to the other places I m town that are waaaayyyyy overcharging. They did an excellent job. Months later, it held up extremely well. I would absolutely trust my truck here again, and I would recommend anyone locally to try them out. It s rare to find an honest mechanic shop when you don t know the area. Thankful to have found them.Service: Brakes

They have been amazing to work with. Great to explain what is happening with our vehicles and repairs. Prices have been very fair. Time to get the repairs done has also been very reasonable. I recommend this shop to everyone I can.

Good work but aweful customer service. The service guy constantly lies about time frames and what has been done to the vehicles. They finally my car in the shop after I called them over and over asking them the explain what the hold up has been for two weeks. Worst experience I've ever had at an auto shop. Don't go unless you want to be lied to and have your car sit in the same spot at the shop for two weeks.

My son s Kia was having problems and they were so diligent in solving the problem, very helpful and informative and never once did I feel taken advantage of for being a single woman. There is NOWHERE BETTER you could possibly take your car in San Marcos, or in all of Texas in my opinion. I've been coming here for years, since I was a naive 18 year old, throughout the span of 3 cars and they have always been beyond reasonable and QUICK! I had to get my transmission replaced once and only took 3 days. They really care about their clientele and will go out of their way to help you, and I have NEVER had any further issues with any repair they've ever done. High quality service and efficient, and reasonable, seriously what more could you ask for?

They are getting 2 stars because the price wasn't bad. The service was very bad. The lied about looking at his car. They claimed they had it on the jack, but when we drove over, he went inside, I was sitting in my car and his vehicle hadn't moved positions, on top of that, a couple mechanics came out, and looked under the head and were checking it out. That tells me that they lied about looking in his car when he had called at noon. They from then on consistently lied about time frames. Very disappointed.

I loved this place. They had great customer service and took the time to explain everything that was wrong with my car patiently. The quote they gave me was $50 less than 3 other places I had gone to and they were able to fix an additional issue with my car for less. They had it done in 3 hours as promised and made sure to check for any further issues when they were done. I will never go to any other mechanic.

I stopped at advance so the guys there could check out a suspicious noise and they recommended I go to Spanky's. I wound up needing a new water pump and belt replaced. I gave them the keys on Tuesday and picked up my car that Thursday; I was impressed with the quick work and reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Been living in San Marcos for 5 years and this was the most affordable and friendly mechanic shop I've found. They let you bring your own part and work pretty fast. However they do have a lot of business so it may take 2+ days so plan accordingly.

This review was about Joe's Crab Shack in Lubbock.The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was disappointing. I had a shrimp sampler and all the shrimp were small. The bacon wrapped shrimp were so crispy the bacon would fall off if touched or I'd put the whole thing in my mouth and try to get the tail off but part of it would be in my mouth. We are from Houston and have bigger shrimp I guess.We did have some crab dip on the appetizer and it was delicious.No...we wont be going back.

WARNING be careful with this shop they will try to rip you off. I bought a cat back exhaust system for my truck which is a direct bolt on. Called for estimate they wanted to charge me for 4 to 5 hours of work at $450. All other shops estimated 1 to 2 hours at $150. If I had the tools I could install myself! Please call around before going here!

Horrendous place, the only reason they got a 1 star is because you have to leave that or I would have given them less. Extremely poor attitude, the worst customer service I ve ever experienced with a mechanic shop. You re better off hiring some guy off the streets rather than go with these guys. Save yourself the time and MONEY and go to a real professional shop, instead of some scam artists like these guys. Such a disgrace that they even operate how they do.

Excellent service and quick turn around time. Could not be happier with my experience! Professional team, awesome management with great communication, and my truck is better than new! I will definitely be referring friends and family for their future auto body needs.

Spanky's is hands down the best repair shop in San Marcos. They have worked on my car multiple times now for motor issues and A/C and I have never had less than a 5 experience. Spanky always makes sure to let me know exactly what the problem is with my car and he explains the cost down to details. They always have great prices and everyone that works here is super nice and personable. They can usually get the parts to fix your car in the same day from another local business. I would never go anywhere else. I recommend Spanky's 100% keep up the good work guys!

This place is pretty good and close to the Texas State campus. I do feel they overcharged me, but I guess it's a matter of convenience as I wasn't in the area. Overall fairly responsive and the service was decent. The reviews seemed really good, but I feel are service was probably a little below that.

I brought a new custom challenge and they knocked it out for me.. Had an amazing good attitude the entire time. They even found some previous repairs that were incorrect and helped me fix them.. I know that my family is safer now..

I took my VW Jetta to be fixed because the ac wasn't working correctly. After they took a look at it (and didn't charge me anything), they found I was going to have to replace the whole ac system. Instead of charging me $1,500+ to fix it, they told me to take it to the dealership because it was still under warranty. I took it to the dealership and got it fixed for no cost. I am so glad I took it to Spanky's first and they were honest people who didn't just want my money. I will be using this shop from now on. It's awesome to know of a mechanic shop that you can trust.

My husband had to get his truck examined due to his "check engine" light. This place not only inspected it, but the guy (John) went over all possible issues it could be so that my husband could buy the parts he needed and attempt to fix it himself....hoping to save money. This is an honorable place.

Tell me why some time ago when I went to go get the radiator to my truck replaced the fan shroud was broken for easy access. plus the bolts that hold the fan shroud were never placed back... now it hits the fan and makes it obnoxious sounds that it wasn t making before. I m Kinda driving a dangerous vehicle now. Just saying pretty shady.

They left a loose bracket on my muffler after replacing my catalytic converter and told me I needed over 300 dollars worth of work that didn't need done. Also tried to lie to my girlfriend and say she needed all new rotors when all she needed was brake pads. Don't use this awful place!!

My son had issues last weekend. Spanky s was one of the few places open on Saturday. We dropped it off just before closing and had it back on Monday. I don t know anything about cars, but my husband says we got a fair shake on the price.

Came because it was one of very few places open on Saturday when i could bring my car by. Problem was what i figured it would be (ac compressor). Quote was about what i was expecting, although labor wasnt as much as i thought.I bring my car back to get the work done and when i pick it up they let me know that they dont think the new compressor is cooling it well enough, so they want to warranty it out. I had to leave town, but when i came back they swapped out the new compressor for a new new compressor for free (under warranty)I was surprised a place would do this, it was very nice to see that they cared about the work they did, and want it to be the best it can be.Overall i would recommend this place to anyone needing auto repair, my only complaint is that they are always busy so you just have to drop your car off, but its also expected when they do good work.
